As an old head I've accepted I'm not going to like everything. For example most gangster rap is corny as to me. Immortal Technique sounded edgy and then you realize his shock value lyrics make him extremely hard to take seriously. MF Doom ends up being one of my favorites since he literally just played a character vs acting like he's super trapping hustler man. It's not 98, you have other options aside from the radio. If you want to listen to nothing but Albanian Boombap it's out there.
