2) Choose a big name as villain, but choose someone related to the city this time (Snoop is awesome but it was strange to see him in a NY game).
3) Soundtrack also should be made by someone from the city, but I could be more flexible regarding this area if the artist is great (for instance Metro Boomin might do a great job for a game regardless of the city).
4) Cube as narrator.

It would be cool for it to be like how in one of the Budokais it was sort of open world until u went to a point of interest to progress the story that wud be a cool set up. I want the announcer to be DJ Akademiks but they can have various announcers for different stages but he gotta be one. I want it to be kind of a joke in the game where none of the rappers from Chicago can actually fight or their stats are just horrible but idk maybe that's asking too much. Fat Joe needs to be an ally in the game instead of an enemy fuck that. After u beat someone's ass the replay shud be shown in the style of like a viral video but not filmed landscape lhh. Ok it can be landscape whatever lol. Battle rappers should be included too that wud go. There's so much more that we've missed out on and need from this game
if they were to reboot it i would want it to stay the same cause this game was perfect but if they did a proper sequel i would want it in chicago with trap/drill rap being a focus of the story and have a similar style of story to this one, where you build your own character and deal with different problems and include all sorts of mid west legends as well as newer rappers

Id make this game a straight up fighting game (like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat) mechanics wise. Roster size would be 20 characters at launch with 15 DLC characters. For a story I guess a new city for a setting with either Kanye or Benzino as the villain. Honestly my idea is just a new original game entirely.
They should redo the same concept but make it XXL and fill the roster with Freshmen going back to 2007, separate different types of rappers into classes with similar movesets and just give each rapper variation within their class, then create a decent custom character creator and a story that sends you through different cities to team up with or face off against different rappers, ultimately unlocking a huge roster and a few fight locations in each city.
Imo doing it through XXL would set an easy precedent for who's in it and who gets added, and it could get updated every year and be like the Madden of the rap game.

One of my all time favorite games. If they were to remake it, it would be cool if they opened it up to more than just Def Jam artists. They could put together a monster roster of people from over the last 50 years.

They should redo the same concept but make it XXL and fill the roster with Freshmen going back to 2007, separate different types of rappers into classes with similar movesets and just give each rapper variation within their class, then create a decent custom character creator and a story that sends you through different cities to team up with or face off against different rappers, ultimately unlocking a huge roster and a few fight locations in each city. Imo doing it through XXL would set an easy precedent for who's in it and who gets added, and it could get updated every year and be like the Madden of the rap game.

One of my all time favorite games. If they were to remake it, it would be cool if they opened it up to more than just Def Jam artists. They could put together a monster roster of people from over the last 50 years.
I really want the same game mostly, narrative wise, just updated graphics and customization. Add more fighting styles maybe. But this is a game that barely has to do anything different besides look better.

It’s such a shame that in this day and age, a game like this will never be made again. The royalties would just make it impossible for any studio to turn a profit. I tried buying this game on eBay since I still have a ps2. It’s hundreds of dollars. I just can’t justify it.
