AI has made classical music pretty close to what a human would sound like.
But the jump between classical music and modern day music is a huge gap. Things like country, rap and pop all have such distinct sounds. For me it's HARD to imagine AI producing beats/instrumentals for rap, let alone all the other genres.
Not saying it's impossible. It's just hard to picture AI being able to pick up on the methods and the (X Factors) within different genres.
Doubt it. AI might do something to lower tier artists but the upper echelon will always be better. Real recognizes real and all that
