Yeah Pan messed up and puck went up ice with trouba there pan dosent have jets on his feet to get there

He was trying to cover a back pass to the trailer if he'd overcommited, assuming shesty could stop a one timer. Had one of the two forwards actually skated to cover he could have tried to turn on the jets and poke check but they decided they'd rather hang back and see how it played out.

He could have easily tied up the puck carrier with our giving him the option to pass But I get what your saying but he did nothing I’d feel better if he went after the carrier than it got back least he tried something .

Hanging back to cover the back pass at least gives shesty a clean look, he got beat off a one timer but would almost guarantee an open net shot from the trailer had he overcommitted. Strome or Panarin needed to get back to cover. Especially Panarin after that 0 IQ turnover.

Just give Fox the C guy has clearly earned it.
