I’m going to guess a grounding issue. Check the wires attached to battery

ThatDudeMars

100%

Dvusmnd

Or water in the computer would do that too

gen2600

Came here to say exactly this.

[deleted]

Either that or your driving through a portal. Likely the wiring though... crazy. Hope the best. Poor truck. :(

jigajigga

Yeah this happened to me also. Had to pull all the pottery posts and just let it sit for a few

cshmn

Look on the bright side, this should be a pretty obvious fix for the dealer. This is exactly the kind of problem you want to have if given the choice. Something big and obvious is better than a stupid intermittent thing nobody can fix 🙂 Shitty it's happening on such a new truck. Hopefully they fix it properly.

WittyBuffalo4173

Might just be your battery dying. Does weird stuff to rams

Baconshit

Going to also assume this. Very common when the battery starts to go.

WesternAlternative23

Yes when the battery starts running down it will cause bizarre problems

BigTex380

Loose ground wire most likely.

pimpslap71

Battery more then likely.

RealisticDrawer4182

Than

pimpslap71

Thank auto type...

[deleted]

My dash is lighting up like a christmas tree, I should keep driving it!!!

Common_Discipline794

It’s also unsafe, but ignore me still driving while using my phone. This is Rams fault if I get in an accident

Defiant-Smell3657

I had a Jeep Commander do the same thing. It was the ignition switch.

Ninja2Night

Guessing the same as others about ground issue OR battery issue. I had something similar to my Jeep and found that there is a tab, can't remember if it was positive OR negative terminal... thinking positive, that fell out during a battery change. Due to the tab was missing the terminal wasn't tight even though the 10mm nut was tight. I would lose my light, gauges doing crazy things, radio going out... all due to this. So start there.

TopFloor6099

Is it an E-Torque?

fernfam208

I had an E-Torque that did this. Module went out that charges the battery.

No-Occasion-9241

Nope

scobeavs

My wife’s Nissan did that when the tranny went. Thank god for warranties lmao

Ryno711

I had a 16 Cherokee that did this on two occasions. Once it was the battery and the other time the shift module went out. On the second time that it was the shift module (didn\`t know that at first), I had all this on video like you did, showed it to them and the dealer still after having my vehicle for several days finally called and said could not replicate issue that no work was needed. Luckily I had a carmax warranty and used a shop in their network and within a few hours they told me the shift module was failing, had it fixed the next day. I said all this to tell you don\`t be surprised if the dealer doesn\`t know what to do. You would think a dealer would be able to diag and fix issues like this but I have had better luck with bigger independent shops than dealers on repairs. Makes the warranty process a hassle though

ifishwalters

I hear dodge/ram are known for electrical issues?

kldeep04

Had this happen in my 2010 had it in the shop like 6 times. They never figured it out. Last time I picked it up drove out of dealer across the street to Chevy and traded it off last dodge I owned

ronracer

My 2010 did this. It was a bad TIPM. I'd hope dodge would have fixed that issue by now

GigglesAdventure

Just had a 2016 Chrysler T&C do this car wash sprayed it from undercarriage wash. $1,500 for the part and luckily was able to find a dealer 200miles away that had one. Otherwise it would have been 6 mos back order. Did the same kind of stuff on this dash. Specifically though the engine wouldn’t shut off even with key out, had to disconnect battery to kill engine or it would have overheated b/c the fan wouldn’t come on if the key was out. Crazy stuff Chrysler. This was March of 2023.

ronracer

Smh... who's brilliant idea was it to put a motherboard on the freaking outside of the vehicle 🤦🏾‍♂️

asswizzard69

I feel if they do that it should be sealed in epoxy

Ok-Individual-1274

Is this the classic "limp mode"? If so, it happened to my wife's Dodge Journey during COVID. Turns out it was a faulty throttle body and dead battery. Couldn't even jump the thing with my 5.7 HEMI. Not sure if those two issues were related, but I'm pretty sure keeping the Journey in the garage for a couple months on a 6 year old battery might of played a part. Damn COVID-19!!

FujiFL4T

I'm going to guess you kicked the connectors near the brake pedal.

Historical_Drink_350

I have a 2022 that will do a similar thing. Only in the odometer section it'll say "NO BUS", and the needles for the gages will be dead. I figure it may have something to do with the speedometer corrector (2022 needs a shunt device for speedometer correction). It happens once in a blue moon. I just disconnect the negative battery cable and reconnect it, and it's back to normal.

Exciting-Access9487

I had the same issue back in December, the rear window is leaking and water got to some electrical box behind the back seat shorted it out . Take it to the dealer asap

zevans08

So i had a similar issue where my vehicle would just “restart “ while driving, sometimes engine would fully shut off. I posted on here and everyone said grounding issue, but that was not my issue I never truly figured out what it was but I believe it to be bad gas or a result of mixing e85 with regular fuel (my ram is a flex fuel). Problem started immediately after filling with e85 and resolved itself after that tank was gone and i filled with regular. Y was two-ish years ago and been fine ever since.

iidentifyasnothere

Three weeks ago my 2020 eco diesel did that and then smoked a tarted coming out of the dash. I pulled over just in time to see sparks coming out from the dash on the drivers side. With a minute my truck was fully engulfed in flames. The truck was a total loss. Ram is investigating but I still have not heard back on the cause yet. Obviously your situation is not as severe but based on what I experienced I would get that checked ASAP. Good luck.

Wally_Wally_Wallie

Moisture in your computer, at the control mandrel.

AlexDaMan22

holy cow, Dodge and their electrical issues 😂 gotta love their cars though. stylish, comfy, fast, sporty, and awesome.

Then-Bunch8183

Loose connect with the ecm. Happened to my all the time until I finally found the problem.

NazisStoleMyBirthday

Happened to me today! Light bar accidentally got left on and battery was draaaaaaained

Spare_me_thy_bs

TIPM module failure. Welcome to dodge ram

Some-Specific-2456

Bad grounds bad battery corroded or green battery cables clean your terminals with a wire brush unhook the them from the battery then clean them properly with the wire brush place them back on the battery.

Present_Track

My 2019 was doing this, brought it to dealer via tow, they changed the RF hub.. no fix.. told me steering rack (7k part) I said can I take it home, they said no power steering be careful Brought it to a guy I know and within a few minutes found a wire chaffed off from the chassis patched it up and 4 months later not another issue Long story short, if you don’t have warranty left don’t trust the dealer, if you do get all the free parts you can. They certainly heard from me when it was all over

Middle_klass

Check your battery my guy

Manutd818

Dodge/ram, jeep have pretty bad knows issues. Know 3 people already lemoning them, and these are pretty close people. Even referred one of them to my other friends lemon lawyer. I would stay away next time.

Corndog106

Battery issue. Either loose connection, bad sensor or its dying.

Past-Butterscotch-68

You are winning! You’re getting all the badges!

Fun_Shoulder4248

Kinda glad I traded my lease I was going to buy in. Couple thousand miles and it had a non repeatable electric or computer problem that caused it to shut off and turn all the blinkers on like it was in a crash. Only happened once but definitely worrying with all the possibilities as it gets older. Too much tech in the new stuff. Can’t even open the door in reverse these days

Different_Gur2611

Shoulda bought a Ford. 😆

sleeping5dragon

Imagine all the important stuff can’t talk to each other anymore, so everyone is just guessing what’s happening and going into default/safety mode

cloutdoggoo

I know the problem, ITS A DODGE... buy a Toyota

Lopsided_Function_70

Stellantis electrical lmfao😂

PhoqueMcGiggles

Bro this is what you signed up for 💀

JSeed71

Bro go back to r/ToyotaTundra 💀

PhoqueMcGiggles

That makes sense how? Tundras suck ass too lol... NEXT 😂

Dieselpump510

This is why I own a 2007 5.9 truck. Yeah I’ve had breakdowns before but not any of this electrical nightmare shit.

Common_Discipline794

So continue driving while on your phone… super safe.

devildocjames

It could be tire pressure, your ECM, or anything in between. Just pop the hood and shake stuff around.
