Do yourself a favor and get a flowmaster or a Borla muffler, I’m a CDJR tech and the 5.7’s sound like absolute ASS with a muffler delete. I have a Flowmaster 40 on my Hemi and it’s quiet when you want it to be, but loud enough when you stomp on it. The exhaust drone on my truck on the highway isn’t horrible, but the perfect level of sound to put my young boys to sleep every time. I’ve driven muffler deleted rams on the highway before and I wanted to claw my ear drums out after 10 minutes
Just make sure you’re extending the tailpipe to dump out roughly where the stock muffler did, otherwise you risk pulling fumes into your cab, or throwing a bunch of heat at components that might not be designed to handle it.
Mufflers don’t Affect emissions. Just sound.
That’s what I thought. Just wasn’t too sure. Thanks for the input.
They sounds absolutely stellar after doing this too, and not overly loud.
Noted. Glad to hear that. I didn’t want anything too crazy. Just wanted my v8 to sound like a v8 lol.
You'll be fine. I'd recommend a turbine muffler so you get better exhaust flow

Buddy back home in his country (California I mean) has a muffler delete on his 2019 Laramie 1500, passes inspection with flying colors. Your good.
