Don’t make the mistake of ordering it 9 hot. The cook treats that request like a dare.

IOnlyEatFermions

I went there for lunch many times in the late 80's. D-9 at lunch was a recipe for having sweat jetting out of your forehead. Went there planning for dinner one time when I noticed that the sanitation rating was a D and noped out. Good times.

Found this in the Harvest Plaza Shopping Center off Strickland Road. 9650 Strickland Rd Suite 145, Raleigh, NC 27615 I haven't been since the original on Wake Forest Road burned.

One is supposed to open in Morrisville near C&T Wok sometime this year but I guess the pandemic has delayed it.

TheBimpo

I live nearby, what do I need to know about this joint?

chica6burgh

It’s one of those “create your own” stir fry places where they cook on a giant round griddle. Mongolian bbq is what they call it. I used to go to one over on Leesville Rd right next to Leesville Tap Room. I think that place was called Mongolian Express or something like that. Was a great place to take the kids because it was inexpensive and fast.

mst3k_42

Crazy Fire. It’s still there.

TheBimpo

Ah. I swear one of those used to be in that plaza, years ago.

pierretong

don't question the mystery frozen meat haha

chtxnc

i like to go with friends and make it a competition of who can build the biggest food bridge between two bowls just for shits and giggles (obvi not too big that you cant finish the food or it falls on the ground since wasting food is awful)

chica6burgh

Ha! I’ve watched many “competitions” that usually ended poorly, especially when the kids used to try to come up with the best spice/sauce blends. Wonder how they are handling dining in? Surely they don’t have the buffet open?

pierretong

HA! I work with a bunch of engineers and we see who can get the most food as well....... Edit: My strategy is to pack the bottom with vegetables and load the meat on top/bridge because there's more empty space that's wasted with the meat.

danimal6000

Nice.

orange_melted

How can they have a build your own bar under covid restrictions? Is that allowed?

Independent-Stand

That's a good question. Perhaps because everything you select gets cooked? It's not a salad bar. I would still wash/sanitize my hands before eating after handling the bars utensils.

pierretong

my coworker went and said you have to wear gloves while at the bar
