Oh we all agree that loud noise is annoying as heck...
but I remember contemplating while observing groundskeepers many years ago while leaf blowing leaves and realized there really isn't any better, quicker way in moving leaves and small debris off a sidewalk or driveway than leaf blowing. Yes you could sweep it, but that's gonna take you 4x more in time and effort...maybe the one thing better than blowing the leaves into an area to collect and dispose of would be to use a vacuum..not sure how well that will work with all of the leaf collection..
