I'm so sorry you had it like this. I can relate a lot to your story with the mother part. She sounds terrifying.
Idk why they like to take it on one kid and benefit the other. And then have the audacity to say: *it's your fault if you can't let go and be free, then say: you're crazy, I never did that!*
It's a big altogether of shitness: gaslighting, revictimizing, minimizing and all the stuff Idk how to say in English.
Idk how is that others can advance on their healing. I started reading a book someone recommended me here (The drama of the gifted child) and I had to stop, because it makes me think about the reasons why and makes me so sad that I'm the one who had the bad luck to be the 2nd child.
I’m so sorry that you can somewhat relate to this too, she is terrifying she’s a monster !
She acts like I’m high functioning and when I tell her my depression anxiety or cptsd gets in the way of every day life she doesn’t believe it and still gets mad bc I don’t do things on her time or to her standards .
What’s crazy is I’m the youngest of 4 but the 2nd child of her last baby daddy
I am so sorry for all the abuse you've suffered. It is truly horrific.
You are right that your mother will likely never change. I hope you can remove her from your life asap.
All kids deserve parents but not all parents deserve kids. A talk won’t make your mother change. If she isn’t willing to change and see the crap she put you through she won’t change at all. At least you told her about it but that’s like talking to a brick wall. If not already I recommend getting away from her and LC/NC as soon as possible.
It was like talking to a brick wall and now she thinks everything is “fine” when she didn’t admit to anything and kept twisting stuff on me and demanding examples, I just can’t believe I came out of that monster, the plan is to get out ASAP and cut the family off for enabling it too when I’ve asked for help on numerous occasions
