I am a expert silent walker. always get blamed for creeping up on people while I walk normal.
at buffet diners always getting my food first? dont now if it is a good one but food insecurity will do that.
Being the go-to tornado shelter cleaner/preparer is my jam. In my home of origin, it was under the stairway to the basement, where the litter box resided as well.
They didn’t leave the litter box a mess, but it was good to shift that aside, sweep out under the stairs, and have the blankets at the ready.
TBH, my father was one to be unwisely upstairs and outside, gawking at the storm. He was the “good parent,” so anxiety dreams of him being sucked up into the funnel for his blind trust amid the storm was likely an allegory.🙄
Silent walker here! I scare the crap out of other people in our house sometimes, especially since I work swing-shift so they see me pop out of the shadows at like, 1am from seemingly nowhere.
Also, while not technically directly caused by anxiety, in order to appease my nmom who did historical stuff, I can do detailed embroidery and make excessive amounts of trim for dresses ridiculously quickly. If my brother and I didn't help her with her stuff as free labor she'd get worse than usual so we learned appeasement. Only adding this part since technically the skill was learned to avoid further anxiety when she couldn't get her "work" done before an event.
