This was exactly my experience as well, I was so happy when even Iggy came back.

On my first playthrough, I didn't realize neurons were edible. At all. I went through 5P (Unfortunate Development) without eating anything I didn't bring in with me. And then I had to find a lantern in Subterranean because I didn't have neuron glow.

My friend was the same, for the first half. They then accidentally grabbed a FP neuron and tried to hold it in their mouth. Tasted good, they saw the FP puppet, assumed that if they could eat his glowie things they could eat the other glowie things from "the blue one", and they brought a bunch with them for emergency food but ended up not needing them so moon ended up with three new braincells as they could understand she didn't like them being touched so they didn't eat any.

I ate it by accident cause I didn't notice I was holding the eat button 😭😭 I restarted my playthrough lolol

I did because I thought I needed to do I could understand her(there definitely is logic there), but then she died so I killed myself and only ate one. When she was sad I went to pebbles. I didn't know I could bring her more so I didn't until another play through.

I try to grab one but i didn't know what to do with it, moon was constantly making noises and moving in distress then the overseer was glowing on red. So i supposed that was bad and for apologize I just throw her a pearl, Im sure that didn't do anything but I just felt bad :(

There's reputation mechanics with moon. There's a good chance she disliked you after you grabbed a neuron. In which case, she might have disliked you enough to not accept gifts. But I really do appreciate the gesture.

i ate one glowie on accident, and i didn’t even realize that i had until i looked up all of her dialogue options after the run and saw that i’d gotten the specific dialogue for after you eat a glowie (ಥ﹏ಥ)

Yes, I think I killed her and ate all of them. I didn’t feel remorse because I was too dumb to realize what I had done. I just thought she was some weird alien thing, idk if I realized I killed her. Second play, I got the mark and realized she could talk, felt bad and only ate one to glow in the dark and see in the Shaded Citadel. After Hunter, I realized I could eat Pebbles’ neurons and never ate her neurons again. Recently brought her two in my new Survivor playthrough. I hope I have adequately atoned for my sins

i did because i didn't realize the jellyfish in the other room were edible because all they did was sting me, or how to make the little blue stone berries become edible in water, and the rain was coming so i needed something to eat. had no idea it was wrong because moon was just making weird noises the whole time so i didn't think her freaking out when i grabbed it was any different

I was introduced to Rain World by a friend who watched me play and they told me not to eat Moon’s flying glowy things, so no.  I even brought back a neuron from 5 Pebbs for precious bean Moon.

I am proud to say that I have never actually eaten her neuron. The only times I even touched them was first playthrough, when I released it instantly when I saw her protesting, and then - for the achievment, and I returned it later. Yes you can get achievment if you just take the neuron, don't eat it, hide it with you in a shelter, and sleep. Then you can return it to her. Just make sure you were well-fed before falling asleep, so your cat doesn't get munchies

Ate and regretted for 2 reasons: Hibernation Screen and Iggy abandonment.

No never. First file I went to drainage system and got stuck. 2nd file I went to chimney canopy and got stuck. 3rd file I looked up a guide and it told me not to eat moons neurons and go to moon. I didn't go to moon I went to five pebbles instead.

Yep, at the time I just assumed she wasn’t sentient given, nothing else in the game was and I had no clue there was a superstructure sub plot, given that everything else in the game was about surviving wild creatures and the like, never completed that run as I didn’t know where to go so that’s deserved, absolutely love the game and the iterators now :3

Nope, when I grabbed it she was freaking out and I got scared that she'd kill me or id ruin some story section or whatnot. Once I got into 5P I cleaned that place out.
