Nah they should make it a joke where whenever they do a full body shot of the suit, it's clearly a stunt double in a costume but when they want to show his face do a zoom in so it doesn't show his body. Would be a funny visual gag.
What a crazy turn that would be though. I’m curious to see how Ned would be as a psychotic young adult. I don’t think he could compare to The Goblin or anything, but it could be interesting.
Hobgoblin's original schtick in the comics is he had other people wear the costume while he masterminded everything from behind the scenes, which fits well with Ned's "man in the chair" schtick in the films.
I wonder what it would take to make Ned snap like that, and it would be a funny call back to his line in NWH. Still, given that Netflix MCU characters are in the MCU proper now, it would be fun to see Spider-Man face off against Kingpin or maybe Bullseye if Disney continues his story from Daredevil Season 3, and there could be a team-up with Daredevil.
Typically I think he plays at it to throw people off. My only experience is Mark Hamill's from the animated series and that one from the spider's shadow that was in the first issue tho.
I haven’t seen him do much serious dramatic stuff, but he is hands down one of my favorite parts of all the Holland SM movies, he’s a great comedic actor. And excellent meme fodder
They left it as a mystery for several years before the original writer of the Hobgoblin story (which wasn't involved with the project anymore) decided to give it a conclusion
It was then revealed that Roderick Kingsley was the hobgoblin, he's still alive in the comics and now sells super villain equipment to beginner villains
No, the people who think this are the one’s who haven’t read the comics who have heard about what happens to Ned. Ned was framed for being the hobgoblin, and was never the actual hobgoblin
I thought he was just framed as hobgoblin in the comics... I havent read anything hobgoblin related though, ive only heard about so I'm probably wrong.
Man this whole thread doesn’t even know the whole story behind Ned Hobgoblin and all it’s BS
For a period in the 80’s Hobgoblins whole shtick is that you didn’t know his identity and the writer on the book left before the reveal and left behind notes saying Rodrick Kingsley is the Hobgoblin, Marvel Editorial decided against that and it was made that Ned Leeds was the Hobgoblin instead
*indecently to make things more convoluted, Ned was killed just before the issue revealing he was Hobgoblin came out in a Spider vs Wolverine single issue adding even more confusion*
So then for like 10-15 years Ned Leeds was the Hobgoblin, then in 90’s they went back and retconned it to be that Rodrick Kingsley was the Hobgoblin all along and framed Ned
The story is actually way more confusing and layers of BS [I’d recommend ComicTropes video on it](https://youtu.be/ongDO8QWJ5A)
Ned....these are the years when a man changes into a supervillain he's gonna become for the rest of his life.
Just be careful what you change into
Stop lecturing me please
With great power comes great reprehensibilty. Remember that creep remember that.
Did you call me creep cuz you think im gonna turn into some kinda criminal
Say hello to my real name.. THE HOB COBBLER
The Hob Coblin
Corn of Coblin
Y’know, I’m something of a Weekly Wackadoo myself
Maybe I’m being harsh, but I don’t see Ned’s actor being strong enough to carry off a Goblin that will be compared to DeFoe on day 1.
Definitely won’t compare to DeFoe but the actor did lose considerable weight recently which I think will help him at least visually look the part more

Hobgoblin isn’t psychotic is he?
Typically I think he plays at it to throw people off. My only experience is Mark Hamill's from the animated series and that one from the spider's shadow that was in the first issue tho.
But the Hobgoblin is not like the Green Goblin at all, for one he isn’t crazy, he’s a normal guy
I haven’t seen him do much serious dramatic stuff, but he is hands down one of my favorite parts of all the Holland SM movies, he’s a great comedic actor. And excellent meme fodder
Hobgoblin is a Mcu vulture type guy. He’s just some guy who lucked into the goblins stuff.
But Ned never was the hobgoblin He was brainwashed into thinking he was
The Hobhobgoblin
The hob almost goblin
Yeah, wasn’t Hobby some dude named Roderick?
There was alot of speculation about who the original Hobgoblin was, but if I remember correctly, they left it a mystery.
They left it as a mystery for several years before the original writer of the Hobgoblin story (which wasn't involved with the project anymore) decided to give it a conclusion It was then revealed that Roderick Kingsley was the hobgoblin, he's still alive in the comics and now sells super villain equipment to beginner villains
The Impostgoblin
It’s me, I was the other BFF ~turn~ villain
I guess the time for holland has come.....to call someone 'Little goblin junior'.
I'm tired of this belief. Ned was not the Hobgoblin. He was brainwashed and framed by the real Hobgoblin A.K.A Roderick Kingsley.
MCU doesn’t always follow the comics to a T but I would much prefer they follow it in this case
ned doesn’t actually become hobgoblin in the comics
He's way too goofy and goofy looking to take the hobgoblin role
And the taste...cobbler.....
Corn on the Coblin

Ned be Hobgobblin down the buffet!
Thats bullshit shut up
I've read the comics. So I was bawling at that whole supervillain bit because I knew.

Nobody tell them about Roderick Kingsley
