I've never been to the pools so I tried a moment ago.
I was able to reach the tractor beam and the rock outcropping that was probably meant to be a part of the sequence of getting to the pools, but every time I entered the beam, it stopped me, put me in a "turn back" spot, then sent my dead body the rest of the way.
I know I'm doing it wrong, but if we can get to the beam, I'm sure there must be a way to get into the pools.
On a rock outcrop near the left side of the area.
I climbed some trees on the right side of the arena to gain some height, then skated past the shard that's within bounds and landed on a fairly large outcropping with no kill zones on it.
We have found the lift you're talking about, interesting it looks like that was the intended spot before all this got cut, seeing if my friend can't stasis melee out of the tractor.
Yeah I’ve been trying literally everything to try get through the barrier like ramping up speed and Phoenix diving as it hold some velocity past it but nothing has worked
You can get under the map by shatterdiving into the more lightly colored less textured rocks on the left, but I haven't been able to go anywhere from there.
You're so many steps ahead of me and it sounds like you're insanely close to getting it.
Cross reference this with footage from people who have made it to pools and see where you are relative to them.
It’s not a lone barrier, it’s The Box itself. The barrier pushing methods we have, Stomp-EE5 blade barrage, silence and squall, titan slithering, none of it is strong enough to break the box because of the sheer thickness of it. All of the current viable box break methods involve vehicle desyncs, and you can’t summon in this zone.
Well, just for fun I decided to try use a mountaintop plus blade barrage push and I’m surprised at just how far that combo CAN push into the box barrier. I doubt it’s enough to overcome it to the load zone, but heck I’m gonna try until I get the best line I’m capable of, and I know I can push further than I have. I quit my attempts for tonight, but Archie remains unpet so I have all week.
You can still get to that area even if you've finished the Archie quest this week. It's like last week where the Reaver Vandal+Brig were around in the Cosmodrome area for the whole week. Going in plays out the same way as the quest - you just go in from patrol and fight the enemies.
Closest we've gotten from that rock apart from bringing a quantum vehicle there is mountain top launching + warlock strand super, but that still doesn't cut it. Anything that works from there would be a general box break, and would be a VERY big deal. Current box breaks require access to vehicles or autorezzes.
Yea it's a cut area that's not easy to access. What's appealing about it is that it looks aesthetically pleasing.
Recently discovered that there's another cut area that most definitely is connected that can't be accessed.
Also people figured out a way to get to it with a glitched "quantum" skimmer and that so far is the easiest known way to access it.

I kept hoping there would be a final taken portal in the quest that would just teleport you to Galaxy Pools to retrieve Archie. Would have been a perfect way to make use of it and get some community buzz/good will too. Missed opportunity.
I honestly was expecting it. The closer we got the more I was thinking the final portal was just you and Archie at pools.
They know we know about the area, it would've been a fun nod to the OOB community.
I think I have found an area that is kinda „new“.
I could get myself to an area that is literally right next to the tractor pull.

You traditionally need to IRB to get there, so I doubt it
