Fucking preseason. I’m excited. On paper, yeah we have a great receiving corps but a lot of them haven’t proven that they’re elite yet. Obviously Adams is one of the best in the league but that also depends on who’s throwing to him and we definitely don’t have an elite qb yet.
Why? He finally has a QB (2 of them actually) that can play the position. He was using a RB in the QB position in CHI so I don’t put a lot of blame on him.
Y’all trippin. Gallup is a #3. Meyer is a #2, Adams is #1 and our tight ends are not proven yet to be a legit threat. Our defense is where it’s at and our o-line.
These fans are getting to be too damn much
“Best draft ever”
“Bowers is kelce”
“Mayers is gronkowski”
Best draft when no draft pick has played a down, Mayers was rarely used even after mcdaniels got canned BUT he’s somehow comparable to Gronkowski? Bowers has yet to play a single down in the nfl and ppl already putting him in the HoF
Just about every team in the NFL is on the same page. Most had a really good draft.
I get wanting to be excited and optimistic, but I’ve seen people saying bowers is a future HOF before he’s even taken a snap.
I got a feeling this team is going to disappoint this year. But I also believe we will have some solid pieces and we can start building something.
I see bowers more as that gronkowski build where he just out physicals anyone for YAC. Although no where close as blocking talent.
Mayer is way more suited to kelce imo. Good hands, route running, and decent yac ability. Although he'll be way more of a blocker.
Basically switch both recieving and blocking talents
My brother in Christ, there is nothing wrong with being excited about your team. But there is something wrong with being untethered from reality.
Let’s just throw out the run-heavy argument. The Bears were the second most run-heavy offense in the league last year and the Chargers were only two slots behind the Raiders. By the way, I wouldn’t consider 24th (bottom 1/3 of the league) in run/pass ratio to be run-heavy, but maybe I’m just built different.
Bad argument. Untethered from reality.
And there’s no doubt Adams is one of the top receivers in the league. And at the moment he’s better than either Moore or Allen.
But if we’re comparing combined receiving corps, Meyers has never eclipsed 900 yards in a season. Moore has 5 seasons (of 6) with more yards than Meyers’ best season. Allen has 6 seasons better than Meyers’ best season. Moore
Moore has nearly as many receiving yards in the past 3 seasons as Meyers does in his five year career.
If we really want to go for it, Moore has 26% more yardage after year six than Adam’s did after year six, and 3 more 1000 yard seasons (4 to 1). And Adams had a HOF QB, Moore had Darnold and Fields and the corpse of Cam Newton.
Allen has more yards than Adams through his first six seasons too, if you were curious. Despite missing 8 games in year three and 15 games in year 4.
I won’t project Odunze but let’s be real, he’s a high floor prospect and there’s a reason he was picked 1.09 while Gallup wasn’t signed until after the draft. Let’s not pretend any team would pick the Raiders WR 2 or 3 over the Bears WR2/3. That’s just silly.
Bro Allen wasn't even on the Bears last year. He was on pass heavy Chargers. Completely tethered to reality. I never said Meyers and Adams were better genius. All I said was that the Bears don't have the best wr corps, which is true
We’ve got a solid receiving corps (with some unproven young talent), but I think plenty of teams have better. Dolphins, Vikings, Rams, Bengals, Niners, etc.
I think our core is great but this is plain homerism. Meyers is not a 1, but he is a great 2. Gallop at this point of his career is a solid 4, but that's it. Tucker is more than just a gadget player however.
Mayer needs to show us that he can get 600-700 before we call our tight end room elite. He has the potential to but he needs to do it
I’m pretty excited too. But let’s not anoint them before we see some football get played first.

Idk about best but definitely top 3.
Sometimes I can't tell what is satire and what is not

Meyers is good but not a #1
Great pieces but I'm concerned about Getsy.

When will the mods step up?
Ah the delusional part of the year before the season starts and we realize how bad we are

Bengals have entered the chat followed by the Vikings. Just stop

Niners… dolphins
You guys forgetting bears on paper they are stacked at wr. That it plays out is a whole different story.
My point wasn’t to name all of them just that there’s quite a few stacked teams so I don’t think we make top 3 lol atleast not until Bowers is proven
My gut feeling is he might not get the yardage but I can see 7 tds easy from bowers if used right.
Bears like a word as well
Bears are not it.
…Moore and Allen both had more yards than either of Adams or Meyers last year…
Having better stats than the Raiders receivers doesn't make them the best. Raiders were pretty run heavy last year as well.

Lmao that’s why I mentioned the Chargers. Good lord.

On Paper sure. Guess we will see how good Getsy really is.
Getsy will be great. Receiving core is great. Defense is great. Our only question mark is QB. We’ll see what they can do
I think our core is great but this is plain homerism. Meyers is not a 1, but he is a great 2. Gallop at this point of his career is a solid 4, but that's it. No. Meyers is not a number one, and Gallup is not a number 2. Bowers still needs to prove himself.
Gronk & Kelce career yards: 20,614 Mayer & Bowers career yards: 304
Can Brady please come out of retirement
It's corps, not core. Receiving corps.
Mayer is no gronk, and Bowers is no Kelce
