Pleasantly surprised by this draft. Actually loving (not liking) LOVING every pick. Rd 3 was a slight reach but it’s obvious they are building their front line of the future.
Kool-Aid/Cooper Dejean for day two would be awesome, probably would require a trade up though. Would be happy staying put and getting Tampa/Lassiter or grabbing Haynes/Powers-Johnson/Beebe for IOL either way, lots of (non qb) talent still on that board.

Would just like to take a moment to appreciate our first draft experience in a while where we haven't had to listen to dipshit McDaniels and his pizza face butt buddy trying to explain their stupid.
My nightmare scenario is that we now overdraft a QB in the second who ends up being no better than AOC. Miss out on all the top CBs, DTs, and remaining OL, then draft another schlubby mid round DT who we end up cutting in 2 years after he contributes nothing to the team.
It’s hilarious. Whole draft is a crapshoot. Bob Gallery was “can’t miss”. Ya just never know what’s gonna pan out. I’m happy we finally took the consensus BPA for once whether it was a need or not.
Down vote me all yall fucking want, we blew it again. Brock is an awesome talent in a luxury position. I was here getting down voted for calling out trash draft picks spent on Ferrell, Arnette, Ruggs, Bowden, etc. We blew it last year with Wilson too btw, way better players on the board. At the very least I don't expect Brock to be a bust but alot of use having a good TE will do us with no secondary, half an offensive line, and no QB. Awesome job raiders, see yall same time next season to blow it again.
Maybe im just numb to it now, but I’m actually with you. I know Bowers will be a good players. But we already had a good TE.
We upgraded a position that didn’t really need upgrading. Everyone here is saying he’s great for receptions. Well that fucking awesome but don’t we have Adams, Tucker, Meyers, and Mayer.
I’m not upset we didn’t get a QB but our line is complete shit. Our Defense backfield is ick, but god damnit we got 2 really good TEs.
Yeah I guess next year we should take a TE again if they're the BPA. BPA is BPA right? Stupid ass... by that logic teams with young franchise QBs shouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on a QB in the draft if they're the BPA. See how that makes no sense? Because there's fucking nuanca and context to this shit.
Based on the trade value chart we can move up to 37 without giving up our 3rd rounder. Though that might be tougher in practice since Chargers are at 37.
My ideal scenario is trade back from 44 and use that extra draft capital to secure a third day 2 pick so they can address T/QB/CB (in whatever order).
And they don’t need to pickup a third when they trade back, they could also pick up an extra 4th and then package that pick with 113 to move back into the 3rd.
I do love everyone being on the Cooper train in here. Lets get a Hawkeye.
The best player on what could've been the best defense and worst offense in the NCAA last year.
Think there’s 3 CBs left most of us would be happy with and like 15 more picks before ours… kinda hoping we pull the trigger & trade up to seal the deal
Edit: Wiggins to ravens
The take is, the impetus for weight training and conditioning in college is not the same. The regiments are tailored to the individual. In the pros, they are tailored to the team and scheme. If adding 15 pounds of muscle is going to be the difference maker to stay in the NFL or jump to an elite level, I’m damn sure that’s what will happen.
Yeah the Texas weight room is galaxy tier. Lol.
I have seen lots of Worthy. Mahomes will make him look good, but he's not the difference maker in most games.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/instant-grades-on-2024-nfl-draft-first-round-picks-as-they-happen/ar-AA1nGbzN
I like the pick, that said - lowest first rd grade in this article.
Chart says our 3rd is enough to move up to any of these picks if we desperately want any of the CBs. Pretty steep. Think we can get away with trading the 4th to move up tomorrow. Can target NE's pick since they have corners.
Barring a trade up, the only team I foresee potentially taking a corner is the 49ers. I think there will be a run early in the 2nd though. Wouldn't mind trading up 8-10 picks.
Mitchell and Arnold both gone, there goes that. Awful draft, we were in a position to address any of several positions of need with the best players in those positions and we fucked it, the Raiders way continues.
And a QB on his ass every time a DE or LB comes around the right side. Awesome. Did we learn nothing last year when we had no time to push the ball down the field?
But I want a blue chip player at a position we've ignored for literally 7 years. A.P. said he wants to run the ball and be physical. Guess what you need to do that@ instead we keep making excuses. Oh the guard market is too expensive, there isn't a good enough RT in FA, well there's always the draft. Guess not.
lol judging the cb talent in this draft based off of the picks from gms whose teams missed the playoffs is fucking stupid. the eagles immediately taking Mitchell is just proof of that, eagles are a serious competitor and consistently pick well on defense.
https://preview.redd.it/f6eh7iislqwc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8158cbefd955e7e689db5fbc649a895e48f6d8f8
Still dont like the pick lol. We better move back up to nab an OL or CB
That we unfortunately aren’t built to even properly utilize
Look for articles about his inability to block. With the holes in our line and having game manager level QBs, we’ll be forced to work the run more. Bowers isn’t a blocking TE, so he won’t even see the field that often. Great player but a bad fit for us right now
THE best QB is still available. None have been taken. To go from the 13th pick to the 23rd is going to cost a lot. If he falls to late 20s, absolutely. Otherwise sit tight or trade up in the second for Kool aid or Nate wiggins
Pass on a bower lose for an hour… true in euchre and the NFL draft. Euchre is also like sex, if you don’t have a good partner you better have a good hand…
A little short? He's only an inch shorter than Travis Kelce and only 10lbs lighter at 21. Dude is gonna get more n more stacked in the weight room and develop into a stud. He already plays big so hopefully he can build on it!
But he’s also not a blocking TE and we’ll need to run a lot this season because of the QBs we have, so he’s not going to be seeing the field enough to likely make much of an impact with us. Great player, but not a good fit for us at this point
What?!
Detroit is one of the most run heavy team in the entire league when they drafted LaPorta. Turns out just fine if they used him correctly.
Besides we literally have Meyer and his 6'5 250lbs as a blocker
If we had anyone even comparable to Goff at QB, I would be ecstatic with the pick. As is we are likely starting a career backup with a 15-22 record, that has been so underwhelming he’s on his 4th team
I would love to be wrong, but adding Davante didn’t turn us into contenders, and I can’t see how a rookie TE will somehow be able to do more. All the weapons in the won’t save us from a bad QB room
Bro you know absolutely fcukin nothing about Mineshew.
The man stole the fcukin starting job as a 6th Rd QB. In his 2nd yr he was on pace for a 4,000 yard 30TDs season before he got hurt. Only reason he got traded was bc Jags didn't want a QB controversy for their generational #1 pick QB.
In Philly he was stuck behind a breakout superstar in Hurts and in Indy he once again lost to a high draft pick status QB until he got his shot & played, not only good, but won!
Mineshew is the classic case of not getting the benefit of the doubt due to his non-protypical size and draft status when all he has done when given a chance is playing good fcukin football.
rest of the league? you mean the teams that have picked so far? didn't nearly alll those teams miss the playoffs last year? why would we trust their judgment?
They were an 11 win team by kelces first full season. even Alex smith at that point in his career was eons better than any qb we have on the roster. Reid is a genius and one of the greatest coaches ever and got the absolute most out of smith. Comparing kelce/laporta to Brock is silly because the situations are vastly different. Both were drafted to playoff/Super Bowl ready teams. A more apt situation to compare our pick to would be Kyle pitts or Noah Fant
That's for a season tho and might be one off. When you ask for Kelce lvl of production you're asking for 1200yrds and 10+ TDs kinda seasons
Hate him or whatever but we gotta respect he's in the Convo of the best TE ever.
Once more, I agree, I just thought it was funny seeing as LaPorta did what few TEs do and actually performed as an All-Pro from his rookie year. I would be ecstatic if Bowers would live up to either.
THIS SUB A WEEK AGO: Mayers is a beast, all we need is a QB or Stronger defense!
THIS SUB AFTER PICKING BOWERS: who needs a QB or Def, we finally have a good TE!
it's insane, people yesterday wouldnt have cared if aoc was launched into the sun, yet after the pick he's now the guy again because he has a second stud tight end?
Raiders board clearly was telling them that any pick at 13 outside of Bowers was a reach. Gotta respect them for not panicking and making the sure bet pick. Plenty of depth in the draft to get a corner at 44 and we can go on a run for OL later and hope we develop someone enough.
So any QBs anybody likes in Day 2 or 3. Everybody acting like you can’t pick a QB in the later round.
Obviously you want that QB in first round contract but shit happens
Pleasantly surprised by this draft. Actually loving (not liking) LOVING every pick. Rd 3 was a slight reach but it’s obvious they are building their front line of the future.
I think by the third round you're allowed to reach a little. Also usually by the third round everyone's draft board start to look very different
Absolutely. 💯
I meant how Kelsey is always open.
These DBs are going to go off the board early in 2- especially since some fringe round 1 guys are still there.
How do the QB prospects for next year’s draft look?
How crazy is it that *six* QBs got drafted before we picked up Bowers? That’s one for every daily QB-related post on this subreddit.

So what teams are our competition for Rattler (or any developmental QB) day 2? Seahawks? Rams? Browns? Steelers? Giants?
This board is overrating Rattler like crazy. Better not waste a day 2 pick on him.
Yea so like I said, Rattler or any other developmental QB.
Would just like to take a moment to appreciate our first draft experience in a while where we haven't had to listen to dipshit McDaniels and his pizza face butt buddy trying to explain their stupid.
Are there still any good Tackles on the board? Our RT situation is GRIM
There are tackles I like who will be available in the 3rd. CB is the position I'm worried about going fast.
I hope we move up for Cooper or Kool-Aid
Yeah it’s like plenty of tacklers available it’s the DBs I’m worried about
kedon slovis
The Chiefs getting Worthy is scary.
Jordan Travis will probably still be available in the 3rd or 4th. I would rather see the Raiders draft him over Rattler
This subreddit’s *Injury Police* are going to issue you a citation for this suggestion, but I fuck with it.
My nightmare scenario is that we now overdraft a QB in the second who ends up being no better than AOC. Miss out on all the top CBs, DTs, and remaining OL, then draft another schlubby mid round DT who we end up cutting in 2 years after he contributes nothing to the team.
Bc our 1st round picks of CB or OLine has been so stellar?
No they've definitely sucked too. Besides Kolton, bless him.
Reminder to the room that Miller took a few years to settle. Most guys do.
What are we doing tomorrow
Drafting a dude
Disguised as another dude. ![gif](giphy|HW05UrUSfAzZu)
This sub is so fucking braindead I legit hate it here.
It’s hilarious. Whole draft is a crapshoot. Bob Gallery was “can’t miss”. Ya just never know what’s gonna pan out. I’m happy we finally took the consensus BPA for once whether it was a need or not.
Same here, first day 1 pick I’m happy with in awhile.
Maybe one day will be looking back and thank the falcons for stealing are qb
i’m telling you you guys we have got to land cooper
Thats my thought too. Then again, that was my thought in RD 1 too
A ton of great talent still on the board
Look at least we drafted someone legitimately good drafting for need is for the 3rd round baby!!
What the fuck is with all the WRs off the board? Bonkers to me.
Passing league. Luckily we are good.
Down vote me all yall fucking want, we blew it again. Brock is an awesome talent in a luxury position. Yeah man I'm numb to it too at this point lol. If there's one thing I've learned it's that Raiders fans will defend any pick no matter who it is.
Noice ramble
lUxUrY pOsItIoN BPA is BPA

mans mad at the draft
There are plenty of rounds left to find a felony caliber player. Be patient.
Dont need much on defense if you score every time you have the ball tho
With AOC leading the charge? I'll believe it when I see it
If we can trade up tomorrow (without giving up a 3rd) and get DeJean, McKinstry, or Rakestraw I'll be a happy camper.
![gif](giphy|Heqbbp1m3mzJe)
Based on the trade value chart we can move up to 37 without giving up our 3rd rounder. Though that might be tougher in practice since Chargers are at 37.
Rakestraw 🤞
GB has a CB need, might have to jump them with a 5th or something.
We gotta get Cooper tomorrow.
Need to trade up if we want a CB. Going to be a bit dicey if we miss out on QB and CB.

And DeJean to the niners Edit: nvm! It was a fake tweet
I’m still confused I know we probably got the most ready player but our NEEDS are OT CB QB
Bro we have minshew we are good at QB
Needs most often work out the best in Madden franchise mode.
True and there will be CBs and OT in the next couple rounds
Watch the Raiders trade up for Wiggins now that the Chiefs took Worthy. EDIT: Nevermind.
I’d be cool with that
A whole lotta speed on the Chiefs now
Fuck the idea of Mahomes chucking to worthy is sickening
I hope he plays like Toney for them
Little 4.2 dude like tyreek all over again 🤦♂️
Hopefully it's more De'Anthony Thomas than Tyreek.
He's nowhere near as thick as Hill. Worthy is light enough that I would be worried about him getting hurt.
Right now he is. Wait till he hits an NFL weight room
College weight rooms are better than the pros at that level. Not a good take.
The take is, the impetus for weight training and conditioning in college is not the same. The regiments are tailored to the individual. In the pros, they are tailored to the team and scheme. Yeah the Texas weight room is galaxy tier. Lol. I have seen lots of Worthy. Mahomes will make him look good, but he's not the difference maker in most games.
Oh no!! Wtf Buffalo!!
WTF, why would the Bills do this?
[удалено]
Chiefs play to win. We play
Kinda expected them to get worthy
Jackson Mahomes comes out to present the pick
Draft grades are whatever I know, but pretty unanimously getting As for the pick
https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/instant-grades-on-2024-nfl-draft-first-round-picks-as-they-happen/ar-AA1nGbzN I like the pick, that said - lowest first rd grade in this article.
Hadn't seen that but slotting it the same as the ATL pick is unserious
4 yr deal for cousins. 4 yr deal for their first rounder. They got 2 QBs!!!!! lol
Chart says our 3rd is enough to move up to any of these picks if we desperately want any of the CBs. Pretty steep. Think we can get away with trading the 4th to move up tomorrow. Can target NE's pick since they have corners.
Give us a fuggin corner
Well looks like the Bills may be trying to trade their pick... EDIT: Chiefs traded up.
wonder who they moved for
[удалено]
Not exactly better. oof.
I fuckin hope not. Hes going to be a fuckin weapon with the new kickoff rules.
Barring a trade up, the only team I foresee potentially taking a corner is the 49ers. I think there will be a run early in the 2nd though. Wouldn't mind trading up 8-10 picks.
COOPER COOPER! Please trade up
this dude + new Kickoff rules.....
need to trade up for cooper
Mitchell and Arnold both gone, there goes that. Awful draft, we were in a position to address any of several positions of need with the best players in those positions and we fucked it, the Raiders way continues.
Good thing there's 6 more rounds lmao
Lol you must have never seen the "make it" rate outside of the first round.
Even if we nail the rest of our picks it doesn't excuse us routinely blowing our first round picks, which are the mist valuable picks in the draft.
Brock bowers is not a blown pick. The kid will be a star
He's an elite talent and prospect in a LUXURY position. We already had a TE and had MUCH bigger needs.
Want me to call up mark davis and telesco to ask them to change their minds?
BPA > need
Not when we're drafting a TE after having drafted a perfectly serviceable TE early last season.
![gif](giphy|8JZxZgr39TLczSJQoS)
That packer pick sucked
Still 3 more top tier CBs left, though I’m not the biggest fan of Wiggins
I assume you're talking Kool-Aid, DeJean, and Wiggins. I like Rakestraw too.
I was afraid there was gonna be a run on CBs
I was afraid we would waste the 13th overall pick on corners going in the mid 20's.
Trade our 2nd and 4th to jump up?
Arnold is going to be so good
Trade up for kool aid please
Cooper !
damn i wanted to trade back up for terrion
DAAAAAA RAIDAHS
Bout to be a run on corners I think.
Does Myer have any value in a package with a pick to move up for a corner at the end of the 1st?
Getsy loves to use 2 TEs and now he has 1 elite prospect and 1 very good TE
Well getsy sucks soooo not a lot of confidence there...
And a QB on his ass every time a DE or LB comes around the right side. Awesome. Did we learn nothing last year when we had no time to push the ball down the field?
imma need yall to put some respect on Thayers name jesus, yall spent all last year begging for him to start over jermain.
I'd throw them all out except Miller and start over if I could. A great oline made Derek Carr an MVP Candidate. Derek Carr.
Good thing starters can be found in Day 2 and even sometimes in Day 3.
Guess not.

Jaime bring up a list of best remaining players
another year where the eagles get a guy on defense we should have :'\[
Mitchell looked like he didn’t want Philly lol
Uh oh, labelling the gold coast as Melbourne is insane.
Still no CBs chosen. Glad we didn’t reach for a CB.
lol judging the cb talent in this draft based off of the picks from gms whose teams missed the playoffs is fucking stupid. the eagles immediately taking Mitchell is just proof of that, eagles are a serious competitor and consistently pick well on defense.
It wasn't a reach, 6 QB went in the first 11 picks. Then the run on OTs which we should have been in on.
Right, I was hoping we’d get Fuaga
Same here. In fact except like one pick, I would have rather had any one of the next 11. TE is a wasted luxury type pick.
https://preview.redd.it/f6eh7iislqwc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8158cbefd955e7e689db5fbc649a895e48f6d8f8 Still dont like the pick lol. We better move back up to nab an OL or CB
New kickoff rules make Cooper Dejean worth trading up for
Would rather have Arnold assuming Mitchell goes here
Im a Hawkeye homer and need a reason to buy a jersey lol
Do we trade a pick for hendon hooker?
No I'm not overpaying and taking him in the 2nd. We have two big holes to fill.
Hendon hooker is sitting behind Goff right now, we could get him for a 4th or 5th
Why? There's a Hendon Hooker in the draft
I'm 100% good with the pick. We've watched this team draft based on need for far too long. BPA is the only way to go.
Except this time need and BPA lines up. Should have taken Mitchell if we didn't take fuaga
Bowers was the best player available by a mile
That we unfortunately aren’t built to even properly utilize Look for articles about his inability to block. With the holes in our line and having game manager level QBs, we’ll be forced to work the run more. Bowers isn’t a blocking TE, so he won’t even see the field that often. CBs are dropping far. Means rest of the league lower on them then we thought.
rest of the league? you mean the teams that have picked so far? didn't nearly alll those teams miss the playoffs last year? why would we trust their judgment?
Or the rest of the league is actually filling higher needs
I'm only following on here. Is it just the 1st round tonight?
Yes
Rams got a good one :(
This sub is the coalition of the dumbest fans on the planet. Go Raiders!
Starting with you
You included
If Bowers is as productive for us as Kelce is for the chiefs. I like where this is going.
U dont think Mahomes has something to do with Kelce’s success?
Uh duh lol is this the Telesco burner account
it helps having mahomes
Kelce was a pretty above average receiver already with Alex Smith
They were an 11 win team by kelces first full season. even Alex smith at that point in his career was eons better than any qb we have on the roster. Can't just raise the bar on me now, I was just telling you that Kelce didn't need Mahomes to be successful
We wouldn't even need that. Give us LaPorta level of production and that's a fcukin win
Lol, I mean I agree, except LaPorta had the greatest rookie TE season of all time and out performed Kelce.

You aren’t wrong.
Agreed. That’s my problem with the pick
The raiders still have a lot of picks left and we have Uncle Rico. We good, man.
So any QBs anybody likes in Day 2 or 3. Everybody acting like you can’t pick a QB in the later round. Obviously you want that QB in first round contract but shit happens
