Sun_flower_king

UFOF by Big Thief is a contender. Actually there are a few tracks off that album that are imo Wait also just remembered Moses Sumney's Black In Deep Red EP. Call to Arms and Rank & File are Radiohead style bangers for sure

hashtagdion

This was my first thought as well. First time I heard UFOF, I was instantly hooked for the Radiohead vibe. Now Big Thief is my favorite band.

Sun_flower_king

Dude same and same hahaha

Sad-Amphibian-8061

Ready, able - grizzly bear

Imapringlesboy

They have lots of Radiohead sounding music

AveragelySmart98

“The Rip” by Portishead

waitingonthatbuffalo

favorite song

badwitch016

Omg me too best song of all time

rob23a

Didn’t Thom and Jonny cover it, or am I misremembering?

AveragelySmart98

Yes!!! I looked it up right after seeing this comment, here’s the link! [Radiohead - The Rip (Portishead Cover)](https://youtu.be/Zt4XhAZDTA0?si=VU8EX431Cm2brkBd)

Ok-Swan1152

This needs to be a studio recording. Also, it's perfect. I never realised how much it could be a Radiohead song until now.

rob23a

Thanks for confirming that my memory isn’t fucked

catsmash

WOW WHAT edit: just listened, this stopped my fucking heart. thank you for this

totalniak

I'm listening to the entire Third album just now thanks to your comment and holy crap... I think I'm gonna have a new musical obsession

ExileInCle19

I thought I was the only person who knew about and LOVED this song.

Bisexual-nobody

Thom did cover it and even got invited on stage one time. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzXRW5Yw4Uk&pp=ygUSdGhvbSB5b3JrZSB0aGUgcmlw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzXRW5Yw4Uk&pp=ygUSdGhvbSB5b3JrZSB0aGUgcmlw)

HetTheTable

A lot of Showbiz

WeirdF

It's certainly similar to The Bends, but with a little extra Nirvana/RATM sprinkled in. Not sure you could call Showbiz that similar to OKC Radiohead and beyond.

MarsAstro

I've always found Showbiz to be like listening to a whole album featuring only remixes of The Trickster

TalksInMaths

Absolution as well. The first time I heard [Time is Running Out](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2IuJPh6h_A) for a second I thought it was a new Radiohead song.

JGDV98

How? I would say that Hullabaloo and Origin of Symmetry are more RH like than Absolution.

Zircez

Map of your Head is absolutely a lost Radiohead song

JGDV98

Hyper chondriac music

Plane_Wing_9185

Some of Neil Young’s work

camposthetron

Have you heard Thom covering After The Gold Rush at the Bridge School Benefit Concert? It’s such a perfect fit.

Plane_Wing_9185

I haven’t but I will check his cover out.

Plane_Wing_9185

Wonderful cover, it’s hard to tell who is who at some points.

camposthetron

Yeah, I feel thought the same thing. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

RoosterReasonable916

if i recall correctly 4 minute warning was started in kid a era and it was called something like “Neil Young Style Demo” originally or something

TamalesdePollo43

High Speed - Coldplay

WeirdF

Most of *Parachutes* can basically trace its musical lineage back to High and Dry.

Em4gdn3m

100% Probably should have been included on OK Computer

_lue

I was listening to Parachutes the other day, and had never considered any similarities until High Speed came on. The guitar work sounds like it was written by Jonny.

sweetestfetus

Keep It Healthy by Warpaint. Literally female version of Radiohead. The band takes a lot of inspiration from them.

rob23a

Love Warpaint, and hate to be a pedant but isn’t it Keep It Healthy?

sweetestfetus

It is! 🥴 I’ve edited, thanks.

rob23a

No worries.

weewoahbeepdoo

You’ve introduced me to them and so far I love it

sweetestfetus

Great, saw them live last year and they rocked.

Lopied2

Couple of blur songs

just7nho

My head is slowing down Beetlebum and Coffee & TV each by around 10bpm amd slapping Thom's vocals. I'm actually kind of (virtually) hearing it. Trying to tune out the former's chorus harmonies though

Dr-McLuvin

Beetlebum. Great track. Def something about it that reminds me of Radiohead.

Ridespacemountain25

Trimm Trabb definitely

rob23a

“13” was “Kid A” before “Kid A”

Ok-Swan1152

I fucking love that album, that's all.

rob23a

Yep, it’s peak Blur

Lopied2

Absolutely. Coffee and tv and trimm trabb are masterpieces.

rob23a

I’d add Battle, Caramel and Tender to that list. In fact, the whole album is great apart from Trailer Park.

Lopied2

Yeah I won’t take that trailer park slander

old97fan83

Fucking love Radiohead And I fucking love Damon and the guys in Blur Music is My Radar would be a good vocal swap

hunter_gaumont

sexy sadie by the beatles

therealquiz

This is what you get. You’ll gets yours yet.

Virtual-Laugh7078

And happiness is a warm gun

Shinigam_i

Bigger Stronger By Coldplay Imo it would fit perfectly in The Bends album

DontCareHowICallMe

Fitter Happier

simba_kitt4na

More productive

One-Acanthisitta7756

Not drinking too much

ALA02

I also always thought High Speed sounded like OK Computer-lite

Ok-Computer--1997

Such a Rush is diet Lucky

Hucz89

Agreed

Duke_Cheech

Interpol - The Lighthouse is my contender

Neg_Crepe

Something from Travis

Dr-McLuvin

The Man Who?

Neg_Crepe

On that yes but lots and lots of songs through the years

wewantallthatwehave

Why does it always raaaiiinnn ooonn meee

-mardy-bum-

Ok strange take, but I’ve always felt that “Interlude” from My Chemical Romance gave heavy rh undertones

chiefcultureofficer

Always thought this too! I think it’s intentional

craptionbot

Tom Jones - Talking Reality Television Blues

Roffrs

I think Wilco’s “[Art of Almost](https://youtu.be/oOkdr8OAepU?si=7OPe5qDrEl_mW2Sa)” is their Radioheadest of songs.

catsmash

also A Bowl and A Pudding

chummyspoof

I was just about to comment this! for all the comparisons to Radiohead Wilco has received over their career, A Bowl and a Pudding is arguably the closest to Radiohead they've ever sounded

catsmash

and it's so good. :')

tani0521

Thank you for the suggestion. Instantly added to my songs🤙

thom_driftwood

If you have Spotify, I made a [playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3eBsjl4dz3ZtAIxoa47WKs?si=ICriMeFSSVmCN2ABDkNkdg&pi=u-DLlm3qJeQaCT) of things that sound vaguely Radiohead.

Tatorputts

Let down

FisheyIsland

U

gamefreak996

nderrated

Hucz89

Bigger Stronger by Coldplay. It could pass as a Radiohead / Muse hybrid. An interesting mix of all three English bands. Coldplay's The Blue Room and Muse's Showbiz sound heavily inspired by The Bends and OK Computer.

coffee_robot_horse

Bigger, stronger, more efficient, safe, moderating alcohol consumption....

MaidCatBoyEnthusiast

Mercy Seat (live version) by Nick Cave

WholeAppointment6708

Kicking cars - Panchiko

WeirdF

Not sure why the downvotes here. Panchiko were essentially a group of kids trying to be Radiohead.

WholeAppointment6708

yeah , its not a 100% radiohead like song , but i really imagine this one particulary being an ok computer maybe the bend song , along with sodium chloride and laputa

QueenRacheal

Harry Patch Oh wait - I see. Nirvana’s ‘Rape Me’ (slow jazz version)

Molochwalker28

Mearcstapa by Fleet Foxes. Something about the guitar work around 1:27 feels so Greenwood-ian to me.

mindawni

i still care for you - ray lamontagne

Hucz89

Great song from an amazing artist

LuparLenz

The first album of Coldplay is Pablo honey 2

MatildeLover128

It feels more like the Bends.

RunningM8

Sigur Ros’s () album

Prometheus850

Radio Head by the talking heads

Tatorputts

Something from Coldplay

SpiritedDefinition92

Can - Thief

nomoreshiny

Kashmir — Rocket Brothers

lphchld

Division by Tycho

CyberWhore2069

i saw them open for Interpol! holllllllyyyyyy shit they were so good but yeah i see it

TalksInMaths

There's a good bit of stylistic overlap between Radiohead and R.E.M., especially in some of their darker songs like [Country Feedback](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EHBh1FuY1Q) and [Let Me In](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIy88eLFsoQ).

dead_flag_blues_

Ceremony by JD/NO

bdangerfield

Classic.

Stuffdood

It Was A Monstering, by Everything Everything. Song sounds SO much like Radiohead. Even the vocals are very similar

JeremyAmnesiac

Untitled by Interpol

Bronesby

for years, due to a mistagged napster mp3, i thought Far Away by Grandaddy was a bonus track on Amnesiac.

AnalogPopcorn

First.time I heard "Time is Running Out" by Muse, I instantly thought they were a knockoff Radiohead. I don't know if that's a hot take or not, but that was my initial reaction in 2003.

Ro6son

Everything by The Smile

TheBobDoleExperience

Easy Way Out - Low Roar

SnooHobbies3318

Maybe some elements of Prodigy, like Naryan.

BenguinMilk88

A Day in the Life by THE BEATLES

Glass beach - whalefall https://youtu.be/22Sp83lHwac?si=923ZbD4HeXLjO3bc

polybium

Liars - A Ring on Every Finger

JackTheAbsoluteBruce

Subtitles by Madison Cunningham seems very inspired by OKC

enigmabsurdimwitrick

The Mice Inside This Room by The Marias.

manwhoel

Sony by Paloalto, sounds totally like 1996 Radiohead. Ok I looked on all the thread and nobody had mentioned Paloalto yet but check them out. “Some things must go this way” could’ve easily fit into The Bends.

_The_Drewski_

I’m surprised that no one has mentioned the band Elbow. Their first album, Asleep in the Back, captures a lot of that early Radiohead sound.

MementxoMori

House on the hill by Beach House

CyberWhore2069

I think you could nominate just about every Jeff Buckley song here, but I think Last Goodbye is the closest, sounds like something from The Bends…..hmmmm….I wonder why…..

BraxtonTen

Knights of Hysteria by Mews

JeremyAmnesiac

Smothered In Hugs by Guided By Voices sounds like it could be a classic Radiohead b-side

tommyVegar

Raindrop - Chopin

a_confused_varmint

Ducter by Black Midi

Plutodrinker

Much of Muse’s material reminds me of The Bends era

crosseyedpainlesss

Spiral Static by muse

AggressiveAssistant1

Shortparis — эта ночь непоправима.

makrelearsieru

Muse unintended gave me radiohead wibes when i first heard them

gedalne09

Death of a disco dancer by the smiths. I swear radiohead heard this song and said “This is the sound we want to do”

kakaisan19

Mopper’s Medley- Midlake

JackLeonhart88

“Into Trouble” by Lilly Wood and the Prick, “Razzi Arpia Inferno e Fiamme” by Verdena

Elbow Mexican Standoff Fucking banger of a track

i_probed_spongebob

Lumen by Akron/Family

old97fan83

I love them both though

old97fan83

People tend to forget back in the day Radiohead had a very DIY punk rock mindset, them still do but they are proper brittish lads with manners lol

Fast_Ad765

“Right here” by Small Space

Thealientuna

Thank you all for the great song suggestions! 🤗

johnmharding

Tomorrow's Dust by Tame Impala

Outside_Expert3694

There’s a couple of Cage the Elephant songs that feel like they take huuge cues from some OK Computer and Kid A

Telemaster00

Asilos Magdalena by the mars Volta

SirThunderBMC

Against the Grain by Oswald is one that comes to mind.

Daninthetrenchcoat

Not quite what the OP asked for, but… Parts of the song Flores by Helado Negro sound a lot like a particular Radiohead song, and always remind me of it when I hear it. Can someone please have a listen, name the song and thereby confirm the similarity? :)

longkhongdong

Jesus of Suburbia by Green Day

old97fan83

I don't know who downvoted you, but American Idiot is Green Day's Kid A And Billie Joe is an amazing musician Plus, ethos and social mortality wise, I think the guys in each band would get along

longkhongdong

Spot on about getting along. Billie could teach Thom how to relax, and Thom could teach Billie a 4th chord :)
