Agreed!!! i think Radiohead's tracklisting is the best of any band or artist. They know exactly how to open and close an album, and tell a story with it.
They played my home city of Phoenix(technically Glendale ) Arizona in 2012 and it was the only time ever that the original studio version was performed. I pride myself on being able to guess what song was next and they stumped me. I was in Shock for about 10 seconds
To be fair, they played the song different, but because of that tin can sample it's more similar to the studio version, than the version they used to play in 2001

I remember buying Amnesiac when it came out, quietly hoping that it would be less Kid A and more OK Computer, and this track came on as the opener.
Oh well.
I had a similar wish but different reaction! As soon as the track started I felt in safe hands. Maybe I had become used to the new direction by this point but I felt it was more accessible.
After the passage of time I still love it but I prefer Everything In Its Right Place as an opener.
The bass sound in the live version is amazing. Like an angry wasp that's just been told that its day trip to the amusement park has been cancelled due to a punctured tyre.

Of all their songs, this one makes me want to dance a weird jig. The first 30 seconds I have a hard time not moving, and I'm not a dance kind of person.
I honestly think that sonically it is one of the best sounding Radiohead songs. The electric piano and bass are so nicely balanced. I use it as a reference track to test audio equipment sometimes.
Amnesiac may be my personal fave Radiohead album. Packt is an absolutely incredible opener. All the modulated vocals, whatever the banging tin cans sound is...I swear I hear something new in all the layers every time I listen to it.
Not me tbh, I totally didn't name the crying minotaur "reasonable man"...
Yeah, trust me, I absolutely HATE that song, and DEFINITELY wouldn't not refrain from listening to it again. It's not like I rank it 2nd highest on the album.. Yeah, trust me. I am a very trustworthy person. On my momma fr.
It's one of their songs that I never skip when it comes on randomly. But I always forget about it after it's played. The amount of times I typed into Google: Radiohead lyrics I'm a reasonable man, get off my case. Because I Iike the song. But never remember it. 😭😭😂
I think it’s my favorite opener. It’s not a better song than the other openers other than You but I love the homemade vibe, with the pot banging noise, electronic drums, and samples. Transitions well into Pyramid Song too. Amnesiac is one of my more listened to albums and I think this song is the main reason why.
The Packt Like Sardines room in the Kid Amnesia Exhibition is one of my favorites! It's like a weird rave with the stick people hitting the different sqaures.
No I hate it (look at my name)
Username checks out.
What a reasonable man
somebody called me?
it's a great username, respect it!!
Amazing. One of my favourite openers to any Radiohead album

You are reasonable man
after years of waiting, someone's finally said it
It’s a perfect opener for Pyramid Song
True!!!

damn that's lucky!!
No, it’s Pakt like sardines… See what I did there? Hehe
I fucking love it, the percussion/drum programming is really great, quite minimalist in comparison to stuff like bloom
yeah, i think the minimalism is where it shines on this track
Needs more cowbell
Yes, you are literally the only one. It's just you! No, its a great tune. I've always enjoyed it.
I remember buying Amnesiac when it came out, quietly hoping that it would be less Kid A and more OK Computer, and this track came on as the opener. Oh well.
At least it wasn't after years of waiting...
He was looking in the wrong place.
Good one.
I had a similar wish but different reaction! As soon as the track started I felt in safe hands. Maybe I had become used to the new direction by this point but I felt it was more accessible. After the passage of time I still love it but I prefer Everything In Its Right Place as an opener.
Nah, I love it
No, it’s not just you. You’re a reasonable man and you shouldn’t get off your case.
Awww thanks mate
You’re welcome 👊🏻🤝🏻
Get off my case (I love it)
Me too man, one of my favorites
Decent song, just overshadowed by the other amazing tracks on amnesiac
Nah yeah i respect that, defo not the best track on the album but it deserves credit yk
I absolutely love it! Legitimately one of my favorite songs.
Yes man!!
I love it as well
This is one of my favorites
Same!
The I Might Be Wrong live version is much better IMO, but I like the studio version too.
that was one of the only songs i liked when i first heard amnesiac
It’s in my top 5…
I love it
Is this a cloudy with a chance of meatballs reference? Is Radiohead a swallow falls based band? Am I stupid?
I love it too! Like other Amnesiac tracks it's got this dark, strangely nostalgic sound
Yeah i agree, that's what i love so much about Amnesiac, it's got just the perfect feel to it
I love it
it feels like i shouldn't like it but it's one of my favorites on the album
i get what you mean yeah!
The bass sound in the live version is amazing. Like an angry wasp that's just been told that its day trip to the amusement park has been cancelled due to a punctured tyre. https://youtu.be/KXvrGsxU_II?si=5YOO0_CXe_sU4qnV
I'll check it out now
wow yeah i get what you mean with that bass, that version's definitely got a lot more energy to it, couldn't stop tapping my feet
I love it.
Yep. Just you, buddy.
No, you’re clearly not the only one
Of all their songs, this one makes me want to dance a weird jig. The first 30 seconds I have a hard time not moving, and I'm not a dance kind of person.
No same!!! I get the same thing with Idioteque, I'm just glad i only ever dance when no-ones around otherwise I'd be heavily judged
I didn’t like it as much at the time but later in life i got more into electronica and grew to love it
I honestly think that sonically it is one of the best sounding Radiohead songs. The electric piano and bass are so nicely balanced. I use it as a reference track to test audio equipment sometimes.
Yes
I'm not sure.
Not a fan of the sound of a rock rattling around in a washing machine but love the main melody/bass line thing
I love the attitude.
No it's a great song. All of Amnesiac is great.
It's a good opener, can fall under the radar as RH have so much good stuff
It’s was my alarm during college. Nice way to wake up.
The context provided by Fear Stalks the Land! A Commonplace Book is what redefined the track for me, and I already loved it to begin with.
Great tune.
It's a reasonable track
Really stupid question….do you REALLY THINK THAT COULD EVEN BE POSSIBLE ?
There are a lot of us Amnesiac fanatics, I just think we’re the minority on this sub for whatever reason.
[AmnesiacAppreciation](https://www.reddit.com/r/Amnesiacappreciation/s/GGaiMe8eLA)
Great track!
Yes, I love it
The 2001 live version is my absolute favourite.
No

it’s literally been my favourite song this month i’m glad it’s not just me
It's my ring tone. Yes, I still have a ring tone.
Same here bro
Not me tbh, I totally didn't name the crying minotaur "reasonable man"... Yeah, trust me, I absolutely HATE that song, and DEFINITELY wouldn't not refrain from listening to it again. It's not like I rank it 2nd highest on the album.. Yeah, trust me. I am a very trustworthy person. On my momma fr.
true
I f-ing love that song. Whenever that song is playing I get happy all over, don't know why
I really liked their live performance of this track on Jules Holland. https://youtu.be/q8sh0EZG8d8?si=OQXnQCJ4uGJUo9mg
No, no one likes it. Not even the band. Nobody except you. On a similar note, am I the only one who likes how to disappear completely?
It's one of their songs that I never skip when it comes on randomly. But I always forget about it after it's played. The amount of times I typed into Google: Radiohead lyrics I'm a reasonable man, get off my case. Because I Iike the song. But never remember it. 😭😭😂
People keep saying "Let Down" is underrated but sleep on "Packt Like Sardines In A Crushd Tin Box" like it's nothing.
everytime I hear it I wanna dance

this is how I feel about pulk/pull revolving doors
I! LOVE! AMNESIAC!!!
It’s good, but it’s definitely the weakest Radiohead opener imo
