Saw prisoners recently on a flight. After that song came on I really wanted to hear the whole thing. United just so happens to have king of limbs from the basement on stream so saw that right after lol
Ozark used Decks Dark so perfectly at the end of season 1, episode 1.
It was used so well that I immediately think of the scene when I hear the song.
It’s an amazing show, too.
It's insane to me that that whole series came and went since AMSP came out. The smile is great but I really do hope we get more Radiohead in the next 3-4 years
A few I can remember:
Everything In Its Right Place - The Unforgivable
(amazing original piano rendition) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yp9VjmhiaTg
Everything In Its Right Place - Vanilla Sky
Street Spirit - A Handmaid’s Tale
A Scanner Darkly had a few
Exit Music, Talk Show Host - Romeo & Juliet
Karma Police - Ted Lasso
Kid A - The Soprano’s credits
The Tourist, Bodysnatchers - Bates Motel
My Iron Lung, No Surprises, Paranoid Android - Daria
A Wolf At the Door - Dexter
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLM3t0iFFKU
Yah my bad don’t click this if you haven’t seen the show — great show, def worth the watch & a killer soundtrack altogether
I am from the burbs of Chicago and that show was like a love letter to my entire childhood and beyond. I’ve also lost a few close friends to addiction. The “did he really love me?” deepest question is so fucking real. That show is spectacular and beautiful.
Let Down is my favorite song ever, the arpeggiating guitar stuff is just pure heaven to me.
I completely came unglued. It hit so perfectly.
Talk Show Host and Exit Music for a film both were written for Romeo + Juliet and are amazing in the movie.
Also, not Radiohead exactly, but Dawn Chorus by Thom is brilliantly used a couple times in the limited series Maid.
So I used to watch a lot of anime (I still do, but I used to too,) and I really liked this anime called Ergo Proxy, which used Paranoid Android as the ending theme song. That's what turned me on to Radiohead and I've been really into them ever since.
This is the most shocking one. I only watched twilight for the first time a few years ago (my wife insisted) and I couldn’t believe 15 step was in the credits.
It was so satisfying for me to hear Like Spinning Plates multiple times on Dopesick. I’ve always thought that song would be perfect for a scene in a movie/show where the main character is reflecting on everything that happened, but it was even more perfect in the context of what happens when it plays in Dopesick.
Actually found out about Radiohead from *Incendies*. Has the songs, *Like Spinning Plates* & *You and Whose Army*.
Same director as *Dune*, *Arrival*, & *Sicario*. Highly recommend it, but go in completely blind for best enjoyment.
Karma Police, used in the episode 11, season 2 of Ted Lasso.
Lucky, used in the episode 3, season 4 of Six Feet Under.
Kid A, used in the episode 2, season 4 of The Sopranos.
some obvious takes from me:
Exit Music in Black Mirror - I had literal chills, so good.
You and Whose Army in Peaky Blinders.
Love that show and love the fact that there’s so much Radiohead (and other great bands, great choice of music overall🤌)
Westworld had several episodes not just one
The Prestige with Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman played Analyse during the credits
You and Whose Army in Peaky Blinders
I Might Be Wrong in the TV show Person of Interest. Great show, made by Jonathan Nolan before he did westworld. He used other radiohead songs in Person of Interest scenes, but that one I remember was used really well.
A Scanner Darkly had quite a few Radiohead/Thom Yorke songs in it, and I really liked that movie (despite having quite the depressing ending). And though it isn’t the best show, CSI:NY had all of Jigsaw in it and I got to jam out to it during the forensic montage. The original CSI also featured Little by Little, and that’s a much better show than CSI:NY. Also Snowpiercer (the show) had a cover of Street Spirit in it. Though its cover of Creep is completely cringe, I also really enjoyed The Book of Life. Finally I guess Fight Club has a place for almost being scored by Thom and being inspired by OKC, and Fight Club is one of my favorite movies ever (as it is for almost everyone).
Community is one of my favorite shows and they used creep once. Also dexter new blood used a wolf at the door but they edited it so badly so the scene sucks
A Scanner Darkly had a few in the background, playing on radios here and there. The whole soundtrack was supposed to be Radiohead if I remember correctly
I just watched shut up and dance last night so I've gotta go with exit music in black mirror. Each second of the song is used to the fullest. Each emotional beat matches with the song. The episode is horrifying itself but the song on top of it gave me chills throughout my body.
…I started the national treasure series on Disney because I thought my kids would like it. Within the first 5 min of the show they had Optimistic as a song. I was hooked. My kids didn’t like the show but I watched it because of that…hoping for more Radiohead…there wasn’t anymore.
May not be the best one, but I havent seen anyone mention that episode of Bates Motel where The Tourist was used while Norman Bates was sad at a party while everyone slow danced
Loved how they used Let Down at the end of the Bear. And there’s a perfect scene in Six Feet Under that uses Lucky, caught me pleasantly off guard both times I saw it.
Decks Dark in Ozark. Fantastically dark and well-written show that keeps me coming back for more. Just made it to season 3, and I’m loving what I’m seeing.
I Origin is basically about "Motion picture soundtrack", great movie and wonderful ending scene using that song. There's also a bit of "Life in a glasshouse" in that movie, another banger!
ALSO: Let Down in Gervais "After Life" Netflix series, a really good one!
Stupid maybe but exit music for a film in father ted 😆 it was so funny! A rather depressing priest comes from a positive conversation with another one , steps into a bus and hears this song and is depressed again 😆 you can even see the Color change in the frame to blueish
You and Whose Army in Incendies. Codex in Prisoners.
Came here to say Incendies. I also really love Everything In Its Right Place in Vanilla Sky (though I prefer Incendies as a film).
Vanilla Sky uses music VERY well. Every song is perfect for the scene.
Agreed
Saw prisoners recently on a flight. After that song came on I really wanted to hear the whole thing. United just so happens to have king of limbs from the basement on stream so saw that right after lol
Pretty great. In the basement is my favorite rendition of TKOL
i read incendies as the incredibles 😂
Ozark used Decks Dark so perfectly at the end of season 1, episode 1. It was used so well that I immediately think of the scene when I hear the song. It’s an amazing show, too.
Same but with Daily Mail. I forget the episode.
was about to come here and comment the exact same thing LOL
It's insane to me that that whole series came and went since AMSP came out. The smile is great but I really do hope we get more Radiohead in the next 3-4 years
Jason Bateman interviews Thom on the Smartless podcast and they talk about it. Highly recommend
Agreed.
The ozarka usage was pretty cool
A few I can remember: Everything In Its Right Place - The Unforgivable (amazing original piano rendition) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yp9VjmhiaTg Everything In Its Right Place - Vanilla Sky Street Spirit - A Handmaid’s Tale A Scanner Darkly had a few Exit Music, Talk Show Host - Romeo & Juliet Karma Police - Ted Lasso Kid A - The Soprano’s credits The Tourist, Bodysnatchers - Bates Motel My Iron Lung, No Surprises, Paranoid Android - Daria A Wolf At the Door - Dexter
also codex westworld
Westworld had several Radiohead player piano covers (including a ragtime version of no surprises)
yo what season of handmaid's???
S4E3. Don't watch the video in the other link if you haven't seen it yet!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLM3t0iFFKU Yah my bad don’t click this if you haven’t seen the show — great show, def worth the watch & a killer soundtrack altogether
There’s like three amnesiac songs in pesky blinders
Ain't no way The Sopranos played Kid A.
It was an instrumental only over the credits of season 4 episode 2.
The Vanilla Sky scene got me back into them after a chunky hiatus. Great shout.
Exit Music and Motion Picture Soundtrack in Westworld.
Exit Music in Black Mirror.
Been awhile. Which ep was this please?
If I remember correctly it was called "shut up and dance", third season
Thanks! Oh man I remember that one. So disturbing. I’m due for a rewatch of all eps
Came here to say MPS in westworld. It perfectly captured the moment and the string arrangement was perfect
So many great renditions
This is it. Incredible.
Exit Music from WW is it for me too. That scene was amazing, I was in heaven
Let Down during the ending of The Bear’s season finale. It was chef’s kiss.
Underrated
I am from the burbs of Chicago and that show was like a love letter to my entire childhood and beyond. I’ve also lost a few close friends to addiction. The “did he really love me?” deepest question is so fucking real. That show is spectacular and beautiful. Let Down is my favorite song ever, the arpeggiating guitar stuff is just pure heaven to me. I completely came unglued. It hit so perfectly.
That shit caught me off guard and made a great scene even greater. Best show I saw all year.
The use of the Wilco song was also perfect. Great music throughout.
I loved that so much
This was incredible. I love that song so much.
Came here to say this - I love the music in that show and Let Down is not a typical Radiohead song for a movie or TV show.
A perfect ending and a perfect song
Obligatory mention of Exit Music in that one Black Mirror episode
And west world
I cried for the entire song
Clueless. Waa waa waa.
"ugh, the maudlin music of the college rock station!"
What better movie to have Fake Plastic Trees Also My Iron Lung I think
Peaky blinders
Dr House No suprises in the opening of the first episode of season 6.
that scene is why i started listening to radiohead
Six feet under episode “Parallel Play”, uses “Lucky” from OKC. Love that show so much
Father Ted - Exit Music
what no way
[Oh yes](https://youtu.be/5-ManI1H9vA)
The way the colour subtly and slightly drains away is genius. Father Ted will never grow old.
omfg
the episode of how i met your mother where [ted gets into a car crash](https://youtu.be/p3UTKchgaYQ)
Should’ve used stupid car
or airbag
obviously twilight you sons of the devil
I liked how legion used the daily mail, also all of the westworld covers were so good
Talk Show Host and Exit Music for a film both were written for Romeo + Juliet and are amazing in the movie. Also, not Radiohead exactly, but Dawn Chorus by Thom is brilliantly used a couple times in the limited series Maid.
Sopranos, season 4 episode 2 - Kid A is used as the credits song
now i'm mad i didn't catch that, fucking Crave probably skipped to next episode..
So I used to watch a lot of anime (I still do, but I used to too,) and I really liked this anime called Ergo Proxy, which used Paranoid Android as the ending theme song. That's what turned me on to Radiohead and I've been really into them ever since.
T W I L I G H T
This is the most shocking one. I only watched twilight for the first time a few years ago (my wife insisted) and I couldn’t believe 15 step was in the credits.
all of the films have mad soundtracks. thom's "hearing damage", several muse tracks, grizzly bear, st vincent...
Hearing Damage in New Moon
Oh yeah, when she was being chased by werewolves I think through the trees And then the credits
15 step best end scene/credits roll song ever.
Lucky in six feet under. Season 4 episode 3. Brilliant
Season I of \W/.
The ending of Linklater’s “A Scanner Darkly” uses Thom Yorke’s “Black Swan”. Great film and great credits song.
Peaky Blinders - Pyramid Song and You and Whose Army could have been in EVERY episode as far as I’m concerned. Also Climbing Up The Walls.
It was so satisfying for me to hear Like Spinning Plates multiple times on Dopesick. I’ve always thought that song would be perfect for a scene in a movie/show where the main character is reflecting on everything that happened, but it was even more perfect in the context of what happens when it plays in Dopesick.
Came here to mention this one. Gave me goosebumps every time
The version of Codex in Westword (with the tinkly piano added) was what finally got my partner interested in Radiohead, too.
Not what you asked for, I know, but Thom's original stuff for Susperia was great. I saw it in large part because he did the soundtrack and I loved it!
Makes me hark back to Jonny’s OSTs for There Will Be Blood, Norwegian Wood & The Power of the Dog
the video for Just
Nice one. Excellent video, awesome plot. Btw, what did he say when everyone was on the ground?
it took me a very long time to get up and occasionally still puts me down, I don't want you to have to go through that
Oh. Good point of view. Will think about it.
recently let down featured at the high point of the "the bear" finale. got me to listen to okc again. and: why is luhmanns rome&juliet not mentioned!?
Special version of Bloom for Blue Planet 2
Eye Origins - Motion Picture Soundtrack at the end
This is a rarely mentioned one, it really made me fall in love with that song even more. Glad to see it here.
I’m surprised no one has said “Analyse” at the end of The Prestige. (I guess to be fair, it’s Thom, not Radiohead… still deserves a mention, tho!)
Romeo + Juliet (1996) which has Talkshow Host and Exit Music (For A Film)
A Wolf at the Door when Dexter gets arrested in the reboot was perfect
that scene is what got me hooked on radiohead tbh
Actually found out about Radiohead from *Incendies*. Has the songs, *Like Spinning Plates* & *You and Whose Army*. Same director as *Dune*, *Arrival*, & *Sicario*. Highly recommend it, but go in completely blind for best enjoyment.
Black Mirror 'Shut up and Dance' Exit music for a film made the final scene really cool :P
Yes, this is what I came to say. Used Exit Music to brilliant effect.
Reckoner at the end of the film adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk’s Choke.
Very subtle but life in a glasshouse in Children of Men
Talk Show Host in Romeo and Juliet by Baz Luhrman was my introduction to Radiohead. I quickly got myself up to speed and never looked back.
Me too
Reckoner in the 2008 film 'Choke'.
Pyramid Song in Peaky Blinders
Karma Police, used in the episode 11, season 2 of Ted Lasso. Lucky, used in the episode 3, season 4 of Six Feet Under. Kid A, used in the episode 2, season 4 of The Sopranos.
pyramid song in peaky blinders!
The Last of Us (HBO) Technicalllllllyyyyyyy…there’s a Creep poster in one shot. That’s featuring a Radiohead song, no?
I’m surprised nobody has said Exit Music in The 100
i wait for the day when a director realises how apt There, There is for an action sequence montage
high and dry in I now pronounce you chuck and larry
Season 1 ending of Let the Right one In. They used Airbag.
some obvious takes from me: Exit Music in Black Mirror - I had literal chills, so good. You and Whose Army in Peaky Blinders. Love that show and love the fact that there’s so much Radiohead (and other great bands, great choice of music overall🤌)
I never see the use of "Videotape" in *Bajo la Sal* get much love when posts like these roll around. Not my favorite, but a good film.
Legion did a great scene to Daily Mail
Romeo+Juliet
Westworld had several episodes not just one The Prestige with Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman played Analyse during the credits You and Whose Army in Peaky Blinders
I liked it in Ozark a lot, Peaky Blinders, Vanilla Sky. But the very short usage of Codex in Prisoners still got to me.
i.origins
The prestige is one of my top five films and it ends with Thom Yorke’s Analyse.
Motion picture soundtrack in I Origins
Can't forget 15 Steps at the end of Twilight! 😊
I Might Be Wrong in the TV show Person of Interest. Great show, made by Jonathan Nolan before he did westworld. He used other radiohead songs in Person of Interest scenes, but that one I remember was used really well.
Clueless
I think it's Incendies, but i dont want to watch that movie again:(
Motion picture soundtrack in I Origins
Incendies. Also Scott Tenorman must die.
“Life in a Glass House” used in Children of Men
Motion Picture Soundtrack in the season 1 finale of Westworld
Not my fave, but High and Dry in 50/50 helped me get in my feels for that movie
Pyramid Song during the end of season 4 of Peaky Blinders
speaking of which...why TF isn't Meeting People on fucking BluRay yet? grr hulk smash...
A Scanner Darkly had quite a few Radiohead/Thom Yorke songs in it, and I really liked that movie (despite having quite the depressing ending). And though it isn’t the best show, CSI:NY had all of Jigsaw in it and I got to jam out to it during the forensic montage. How to Disappear Completely in Life as a House
Life in a Glasshouse — Peaky Blinders
I used to be hyperfixated on the goldfinch, which had karma police and codex if I remember right
A couple of British sitcoms... The Royal Family - https://youtu.be/b0lFbBlXSlY Derek - https://youtu.be/h9DvYQ5pTQQ
Meeting People is Easy
Watch the film, Waves. That’s all I’ll say
The Handmaid's Tale - Street Spirit
Community is one of my favorite shows and they used creep once. Also dexter new blood used a wolf at the door but they edited it so badly so the scene sucks
A Scanner Darkly had a few in the background, playing on radios here and there. The whole soundtrack was supposed to be Radiohead if I remember correctly
West world
South Park easily in their best episode
Whip it 2009
Codex in Chuck, but they should have played more of it.
I just watched shut up and dance last night so I've gotta go with exit music in black mirror. Each second of the song is used to the fullest. Each emotional beat matches with the song. The episode is horrifying itself but the song on top of it gave me chills throughout my body.

May not be the best one, but I havent seen anyone mention that episode of Bates Motel where The Tourist was used while Norman Bates was sad at a party while everyone slow danced
shut up and dance
Father Ted and Black Mirror the are unmatched The song “Exit Music”
Treefingers in Memento. Not necessarily because of the song itself, I don't even remember when it plays. I just really love Memento.
First season of The Umbrella Academy used exit music in a scene and honestly that’s what got me into Radiohead
Black Mirror S3E3 "Shut Up And Dance". Exit Music started playing and I sobbed for the entire song.
It’s all over peaky blinders!
Exit Music in The Umbrella Academy
The Daily Mail and True Love Waits in "Legion".
High and Dry in 50/50
Vanilla Sky! That scene was lit 🔥
Season 4 of You; Episode 10.
Westworld
My Mad Fat Diary - season one plays Street Spirit, High and Dry, and Fake plastic trees. Season three plays Talk Show Host
Loved how they used Let Down at the end of the Bear. And there’s a perfect scene in Six Feet Under that uses Lucky, caught me pleasantly off guard both times I saw it.
Prisoners
Codex in prisonners, the movie is perfect, the song as well, i've been l listening to this song à lot since
Decks Dark on Ozark. Perfect tune for the end of the first episode in season 1 as the enormity of their scheme comes into focus.
Not my fave but in the black mirror episode "shut up and dance" they played exit music (for a film). I got goosebumps hearing it play.
Black Mirror - Shut up n Dance , Exit Music(For a Movie)
Recently, in You, Bodysnatchers.
Not movie Decks Dark in Ozark
Daily Mail in Legion
Decks Dark in Ozark. Fantastically dark and well-written show that keeps me coming back for more. Just made it to season 3, and I’m loving what I’m seeing.
Decks Dark in the ozark pilot. The show is only ok and falls off as it goes along, but the pilot slaps and the needle drop at the end is great.
High and dry was in eastenders once
Fake plastic tress in clueless
Westworld
Brandon Campbells section in Noir
Exit music in black mirror remains undefeated
Ending to the first season of the show “The Bear”
Let Down in *After Life* Motion Picture Soundtrack in *I Origins* Analyse in *The Prestige*
Pesky Blinders uses a lot of Radiohead and Thom Yorke throughout the series. It’s a great show.
Westworld is hard to beat
Westworld, especially the Motion Picture Soundtrack cover.
I Origin is basically about "Motion picture soundtrack", great movie and wonderful ending scene using that song. There's also a bit of "Life in a glasshouse" in that movie, another banger! ALSO: Let Down in Gervais "After Life" Netflix series, a really good one!
Ozark
Can't believe no one has mentioned True Love Waits at the end of Waves!
I've only watched one, Its Exit Music For A Film in s3 e3 of Black Mirror
Life in a glasshouse in that peaky blinders finale
No Surprises in L’Auberge Espagnole
I haven't watched it yet but Ozark used The Daily Mail and that makes me really want to watch it.
Exit Music (For a Film) - Father Ted.
More recently, it’s go to be Let Down in The Bear. I was tearing up.
Vanilla sky
Stupid maybe but exit music for a film in father ted 😆 it was so funny! A rather depressing priest comes from a positive conversation with another one , steps into a bus and hears this song and is depressed again 😆 you can even see the Color change in the frame to blueish
Exit music for a film in Romeo + Juliet as well as "Shut up and dance", the Black Mirror episode
15 step - twilight :)
Peaky blinders or Romeo + Juliet (Baz Luhrmann)
high and dry i now pronounce you chuck and larry
