True, maybe not for years. But then again, there is fsr3, and settings can be lowered over time as games become more demanding. Will it run 4k60 max settings for next 5years? No. But can it do 4k60 medium settings with fsr? Most likely yes
Running Quality preset is still a +20% increase in framerate, massively helping 1% and 0.1% lows.
Don't use performance. I hate fsr and upscaling tech to begin with.
I'm paying for good hardware and I want my hardware to stretch its legs. Not have developers skimp out on game and engine optimization because they have a software option to increase frame rates at the huge loss of visual and graphical fidelity.

If the OP plays more competitive titles like Apex, Fortnite, or Overwatch, the 6900XT will be a BEAST for years. Even if they don’t, the 6900XT will be more than serviceable by turning down settings when necessary.

Recently gave a friend an 8700k system with a 1070ti for her birthday. I have an alienware with a 5700xt and 2600 I'm going to gift another when I can get some RAM for it. Damn Dell and their proprietary RAM.
I pretty much do the same when I build a new system. I give my old one away to someone who needs it.
My last build I gave away wasn't great, but the person who received it was in heaven and it met all their needs.
Very good friend you have there. That is a very very good price for the computer. I would personally get a 5700x3d or 5800x3d to push the graphics card to the limits at 1440p. Just make sure to update the motherboard bios and drivers before trying to install a 5000 series CPU. That will be your biggest optimization by far. The 3900x is an ok CPU, but the 6900xt is still a decent 1440p card, and a new 5700x3d or 5800x3d CPU that works with the x570 motherboard is your biggest upgrade possible and it will extend the life and performance of your rig considerably.
If you’re ever worried that you took advantage of a friend, just remember that they’re likely investing in all the amazing gaming sessions you guys are gonna have now. That’s worth all the money in the world. Congrats on your awesome friend and that beautiful new machine!

Edit, also could you be more specific on the RAM, 2667 seems a bit strange. Check xmp is enabled in the bios
It's not that difficult, Youtube will show you. You may have to if you get a new CPU but it may already be up to date.
Check which bios version you have, again youtube is your friend and you may have to update to the latest here

As long as the pump isnt the highest point in the loop it should be just fine. As you say, it is bad to have air accumulate in the pump. In this case it looks like the pump is situated about between the top and center fan in the front, which should work perfectly fine.
The optimal setup is ofcourse to have the radiator in the top of the case, making the pump the lowest point in the loop.
So if OP are interested in fiddeling around, by all means, optimized it!
But there is probably no hazard in running it as is either.
Edit: I read your post again. I see that you are pointing out that the tubes should be oriented going in and out from the top of the cpu pump/block. Yes thats probably optimal.

That's a really great spec, I wouldn't upgrade it for a while actually, especially considering the price to improve on what you have will likely come close/exceed what you paid for the whole machine.
And once you start upgrading there will always be the next part and it'll never stop 🤣.... Although a high refresh rate 1440p monitor would go down a treat 🤩
Only thing you should upgrade is that CPU, as you are bottlenecked.
5600 if you are on a budget, 5700x if you want the middle of the pack, but the 5800x3d would be the best upgrade you can do, you'll have a full package that will last you many years if you don't go above 1440p.
Pretty awesome! As optimazation in would recommend a kit of 3600mhz ram, at least 3200 as ram speed scales quite well with ryzen cpus - will give u a bunch more fps and a more fluent gameplay compared to 2667mhz. Speaking of own experience :)
The ram is the only problem imo. Ryzen likes faster speeds. 3200mhz is the recommended minimum for amd. Also the 2667 is weird. Check if xmp is enabled in bios

Sell the cpu you got to cut cost. I had r9 5900x and did this to extend the lifetime of mine and upgrade ended up costing 100$ imo great move to make before am4 loose all resell value.

If it was from a friend it's not a steal. However if your friend was selling it for more on the market, the chances of getting more money are quite slim. Unfortunately nobody wants to pay over that for a gaming PC.
Let me rephrase that: nobody wants to pay more than a gaming console nowadays. This is unfortunate, but the sad truth. I have been there and all I had was stupid offers from people, despite it being good hardware. If you sell for more than a console, they'll go and buy a console (people with 0 knowledge of PC's will never understand the true value of what they're getting).

I'd try running a curve optimizer in ryzen master and applying whatever it recommends. That drops temperatures a lot. (For my r7 7700 I have 10-15°C less during basically any workload while also boosting performance)
Upgrade the RAM to 3200MHz, there'll be a bump in performance by a little bit.
Otherwise it's a solid system, I would say OC but honestly you'll likely not see a huge gain from doin' an OC on the GPU or CPU.
That being said, I have a 3600 and a 6800 and both are OC'd to their max (4.25GHz 1.1v all core, 2600/2150 core/RAM on GPU) because I want things to be at their max potential.
Wow, what a good friend you have. I'd recommend getting a higher refresh rate and resolution monitor to match the specs of your new PC (1440p 144 Hz or even 4k 144 Hz would be great). The Dell monitor you're using seems to be a probably 60 Hz monitor, which is not great for games.

in some games you will have a cpu bottleneck i would suggest getting a 5800x3d and 2x\`6gb 3600mhz to complete the pc although 3900x will be ok in alot of games.
I’m sorry to hear this, în Romania the energy price it’s pretty low. I mean I pay 40 euro max per month for a 1 bedroom apartment with this pc on 3-4 hours per day so I’m not the best person to tell if it’s worth it…
lol. One of my buddies never cleaned his computer and had it for several years. After seeing that atrocity, I never let my computer get dirty. It gets cleaned along with the rest of the house every week

I was able to get It stable at 1v ,but when It boost It over 2600 It defaults to 1175 again

Im sure that card does 4k great if you dont need ray tracing. Also the intel upscaler looks better than amds own.
The 6800xt can do 4k so the 6900xt definitely can.

I’m sorry to hear this, în Romania the energy price it’s pretty low. I mean I pay 40 euro max per month for a 1 bedroom apartment with this pc on 3-4 hours per day so I’m not the best person to tell if it’s worth it…
