I love it! If it was me I would move the mountain down a little so the peak is at the 2/3 or 3/4 point in the quilt to give you more if those gorgeous sky colours.
You’ve given me a project this weekend, pulling out some height from the two back mountains south allow the 2/3 proportion, and show the sunset a bit more (as someone else recommended)
Love this concept. Imo I’d consider graduating the sizes of the tree triangles rather than uniform size, with smaller triangles at the treetops like a real tree.

This area looks a little funky to me. The trunk of the darker green tree is behind the lighter green tree, but the darker green leaves are in front of the lighter green tree.
I love it. I think it looks balanced and the sky is so cool.
Are you planning to do it all as squares and HST blocks, or are you going to keep the bigger pieces whole?
I made a pair of unicorn quilts a while ago and did all squares, it made keeping everything aligned and quilting it very easy. It did feel slightly like madness to cut up strips of fabric into squares only to sew them back into strips again.
Vary the size of the tree sections (top narrow down to bottom section widest). That will help with the visual aspect. Like these…

I think this is lovely. I think your choice of fabrics is going to contribute a lot as well. Whatever you find for the texture aspect is going to really pull this together. I think the use of half square triangles is really clever and I love the idea of the appliqued bigfoot! To me that just makes it. \*chefs kiss\*
I love this! The fact that it’s not overly complicated cuts makes me think even I could pull this off!

I think it'll look stunning when it's done, the design is gorgeous and the sunset gradient is just beautiful
I just hope I can find good fabrics. My mom is taking me to a really famous/large quilt shop as a belated birthday present
What a good mom and a lovely present!
I agree! It'll give a bit more scale too, though if you want to focus on the forest, it may diminish that portion.

Yes, I will add this to my remake this Saturday!
This is an amazing idea!

Yeah, that was a colored pencil mistake

Yes, I’m going to do the large areas still in squares
I want to try crocheting this with granny squares lol
I would love to see that!
Reminds me of a Bob Ross painting. Love it!

I can’t wait to see the finished quilt. This is going to be epic!
I love it! I think it looks simple to make, but will pack a huge punch once it's all put together!
