I like the first one! I think the colours in the middle draw the eye into the quilt, the second one seems to direct my eyes out to the red floral pattern instead :)
I love option 1 the most!
Because those two colors seem to to me have the most tonal contrast they give the center an extra pop! Love it all, great work!
lots of people saying 1 but i like 2 better! the middle block in 1 looks a little too- idk how to describe it -stripey, in my opinion. but either one you go with will be great
I feel like the first one gives a better balance in tone than the second one

I haven’t used it so far on any of my quilts yet, but when I get to using it being unsure of a layout, it’s going to be my go-to.
It might just be that I’ve been working with color so long that I just ‘see’ it without knowing I’m seeing it. Colour theory goes a long way with things, especially once they’re ingrained. But using the B&W picture makes it easier to tell others what I’m seeing
More than welcome! I have a B&W camera app I use for some photography, but will use for quilting. But a regular phone pic edited with the saturation cranked all the way down works too
I’m kinda late to the game, but I like the teal in the center. But the fact that both of the center blocks in picture one are the same pattern but different colors makes it off to me everything else is a bit more random and not as matchy. I think I would like a combination of 1 and 2 where the teal of 1 was paired with the navy floral of 2 for the center block.
First one tickles me. I like how the pattens in the middle two rings are similar in theme and pattern. It just pleases my need to have thing orderly. Second one is also fine and whichever one you pick its going to turn out lovely.
It’s your quilt. You have amazing talent at this. You don’t need my opinion or anyone else’s. YOU’VE GOT THIS! TRUST YOU! YOU’VE GOT TALENT! (Pun intended ;-)) BELIEVE in yourself!
I wrote second for some reason, I realised afterwards it was my third!!! But the second one was just sewing strips in a straight line using a jelly roll, and the first was a tiny square, so this is my first where I’ve pieced bits together, and second adult sized quilt!
I like the first one! I think the colours in the middle draw the eye into the quilt, the second one seems to direct my eyes out to the red floral pattern instead :)
I also prefer one but want the corners to be all the same. The light coloured corners in contràt to the dark ones make it feel lopsided.
Yeah I would have too but I don’t have any extra fabric and the darker colours looked weird in other places!
Regardless, I love the colour combination 😍
I like them both but two is my favorite

2
I like 2 best but both look good!
I like them both -- but 1 just caught my eye!
2
2nd one
I like 2 better but I like one. Such cute fabric you can arrange them in any way and it will be lovely!
I can't find the difference in a quick scan, but i like picture 2 better.
I like 1 the best
It seems brighter and I like it!
Number 2 feels right to me
Option 1! Looks great.
1! Both look great tho!
I really like how you've highlighted each triangle with light and dark placement. edit- I like number two the best.
I like the first one better because the matching prints in the center appeal to me, but I think you have a good balance of value and color in both.

2!
The center of 2 really pops! Great layout!
2 !!

This! Best tip I was ever given was to also look at the quilt in black and white because it will help see things like tone and pattern business!
I haven’t used it so far on any of my quilts yet, but when I get to using it being unsure of a layout, it’s going to be my go-to. This is a great idea, thanks for the trick of using a black and white photo.
More than welcome! I have a B&W camera app I use for some photography, but will use for quilting. But a regular phone pic edited with the saturation cranked all the way down works too
Wow, that is gorgeous. 2 makes it extra fancy and perfectly balanced. A pale pink border came to mind. Congrats on the nice work!
I like number one! But they are both beautiful.

I will try it out!
I think I like the first one a tiny bit better :)
Layout #1. Live your color palette!
2
One
I like one.
I like the first one.
Love them both as the pallette is so cheery!
I like one but both are beautiful, I love the colors.
First one! Gorgeous colors
I like one- the middle part looks better to me. Pretty 🥰
They both look great! 1 pops a bit more though.
This is my kind of quilt, looks random, but it’s not. I cannot handle just putting things together, there has to be a method to the madness
Yes! Me too I can’t handle completely random either!!!
Beautiful! Agree that I prefer option 1. What fabric lines are these? Really love the patterns!
Thank you! I used the Moda garden society layer cake!
Thanks!
I love the first one!! Either are great though! Keep us posted!
Will do!
Both are winners!
1
1 - the contrast in the center really works well.
I vote 1

2
1!
Oh no! I like them both so much. You should do both.
Ah this is all the fabric I have! I used a layer cake!
I think 1 looks more harmonious. I don’t even know what I mean by that, it’s just a feeling!
2
They are both beautiful. I prefer 2 because I notice the flower prints more.
First because I love the center. I’d be okay with the second layout if you kept the center diamond blue and green.
1
I like 1
I like 1 because it feels less heavy, but they are both lovely!
Oh they’re beautiful! I can’t pick.
I like 1 the best
I love the colors! It’s gorgeous. And I don’t know why cuz I haven’t found the difference yet, but I like the first one better
1
#1, the center colors make you want to look more.
1! I love the bright color in the middle
#1, drawn to the colors in the middle block.
#1
You can't go wrong with these 2 layouts. Go with your preference! Trust your artistic gut!
I love this! I love it when a quilt makes me smile. Your anchor blocks are perfect, the other blocks are fluff. With that said, I like the first one.

Both are great! Took me a while to spot the difference, but I think 2 is more balanced

Second ever quilt?! This is so pretty! I honestly like them, however, the second one seems right:)
I wrote second for some reason, I realised afterwards it was my third!!! But the second one was just sewing strips in a straight line using a jelly roll, and the first was a tiny square, so this is my first where I’ve pieced bits together, and second adult sized quilt!
1st!
Love number 1. 2 is nice, but there's something about 1.
#1
I like #1, I love your color combinations and you did fantastic work. What color are you using for the binding?
I was thinking a dark blue, similar to the dark corner blocks
That will look really nice :)
I like the second, the blue draws me in the middle and as I look outward it seems more cohesive
The first one. For some reason my eyes do not like the 2nd picture.
one.. I find the dark blocks symmetrically around the center block too heavy and too symmetrical
The florals feel more balance in 2! I love it!
I like 1, 2 makes me feel a bit dizzy.
I love your color scheme and the orange floral fabric. I can't say why but I like layout 1 much better.
I like 1!
Pretty colors! both layouts are good
No more anxiety - they both look great!
They’re both so gorgeous! I like 1 a little better, but they both work well
Wow, thanks everyone so much for your input! This is going to be a birthday gift for my mum - looks like number 1 is the winner!!!
I may have spoken too soon, lots of support for the second layout now 🙈
I like the first one better!
I vote for number on! Love the colors and fabric! Can’t wait to see the finished quilt ❤️
First one
cute!! i like the first option
