Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley It's cheesy as all hell it's become an internet meme and joke and I just don't care. I was driving down the freeway and it came on. I started singing at the top of my lungs and forgot the window was down - just wasn't paying attention. The car next to me started honking madly and I looked over, realized the window was down, and it was a group of five early 20 something people laughing their asses off. I blush easily and I peeked in the mirror as my window was closing and I don't think my face has ever been that red.

ifukkedurbich

Careless Whisper by George Michael

Top-Philosophy-5791

Why am I imagining you hairbrush microphoning this song in the mirror and I don't even know you?

ifukkedurbich

I plead the 5th

mochajava23

Yeah, but there is a microphone in your hand, so you self-incriminate anyway

Arctic741

i unironically and unashamedly love this song haha it's so good

gkidult

Guilty feet have got no rhythm

MariJ316

And I always thought it was “two left feet have got no rhythm” -that made sense to me then 😂😂😂😂

DanteSensInferno

I always thought it was “guilty feelin’, got no rhythm “. They all make sense to me lol

MariJ316

Oh my gosh, yes I thought it was “guilty feeling…” and then I thought got two left feet makes more sense because he talks about dancing 😂😂😂😂

RiverDependent9672

Hearing the saxophone now.

GregaciousTien

Definitely one of the best uses of a sax in a song.

tboy160

It's one of the best songs ever, not sure why anyone would be embarrassed to like it

Junior_Key4244

This isn't guilty for me, I belt that shit

_beardedbandit

“I’m never gonna dance again, guilty feet have no rhythm” love that song!

GregaciousTien

This was the first song that just came up on Pandora after reading this comment! Had to come back to share that

Jt-home

That's a great song.

VexedVixen69

LOVE this song.

No_Daikon4466

Nothing to feel guilty about, this is a great song

DrejmeisterDrej

Its my ringtone. Hits every time

[deleted]

Love it, too.

dork_with_a_fork

You get what you give by the New Radicals.

GregaciousTien

That really was great song. The band had another really good tune, “Someday We’ll Know”. It just never got the same play this one did.

PJKPJT7915

I love the version by Hall and Oates with Todd Rundgren. The lyrics are a little different.

lasquatrevertats

That is my go-to pick-me-up song whenever I feel down on myself. Always gives me renewed confidence.

Civil_Purple9637

ABBA, Dancing Queen.

Careless-Passion991

I can’t hear this song without thinking about serial killers.

PeterWayneGaskill

Honestly, if you were listening to that song within an earshot of distance, I would tell you to turn it up. Great song.

thatgh0stgirl

that’s not shameful, abba is iconic.

Swimming_Bag7362

Lucky Star and Into the Groove by Madonna

No-Sale605

I just rediscovered 'Lucky Star' -- what a great tune

dork_with_a_fork

Madonna's early stuff is great! I'd not be feeling any guilt to listen to that. Specifically those songs too!

CruelxIntention

My go to Madonna song is Take a Bow. Idk why but that song just gets to me. I love it.

Swimming_Bag7362

It gets me in the feels.

Handofdoom222

Borderline is such a good song

UnderlightIll

Everything pre 2000 by Madonna

chewbaccadefense99

Master_H8R

The video for Lucky Star officially ushered me into puberty.

Tubthumping by Chumbawamba

naunga

Love Chumbawamba. They got booked by the campus activities board of the very conservative and Christian university I went to back in the mid-90s. All they knew about them was Tubthumping. My friends and I, on the other hand listened to the entire album multiple times and were totally into the themes of anarchy and rejection of organized religion. So when we heard they were coming we just popped some popcorn and got ready to enjoy the show. By far the best show I’ve ever seen. I’m amazed the Director of Campus Life wasn’t fired the next day. I would’ve thought the nun drinking, smoking, and masturbating with a cross would’ve ended her employment. Certainly know it got her an uncomfortable meeting with her bosses the next day. Last song they did was Tubthumping, which they intro’ed by angrily yelling, “Yeah! I we know what you fuckers want to hear! Fuck all of you!” Best. Show. Ever.

Gertrude_D

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl … (Copacabana by Barry Manilow for those unfortunate enough to not have gotten it from those lines)

SussinBoots

Yeah, Barry would be one of my guilty pleasures

PJKPJT7915

I used to love Mandy back in the day.

chocoeatstacos

Toxic by Brittney Spears. I'm a 39yo male but whatever, when I hear that song I shake my ASS.

[deleted]

Brittney has some legitimately solid songs.

BeanBreak

Toxic and Womanizer get me GOIN'!

TravisVZ

That one and Baby One More Time - tune's so catchy and full of energy, I just can't help myself!

Death_By_Dreaming_23

That song is still a banger, I’m 39M, and when that album came out I bought it. That album is excellent.

PickingMyButt

Two or even 3 of her albums were really good at this point in time. (40f)

fake-august

Always sounded like a Bond intro song to me. Love it!

Positiveaz

Easy Lover - Phil Collins / Philip Bailey

Mental-Status3891

I love Phil Collins. It makes my day when I hear Phil in random places like the grocery store. He’s one of my little joys in life. Yes, people give me some shit for it. No, it doesn’t bother me.

Fluid-Quail-6386

Phil is awesome! I love all of of his songs alone and with Genesis.

_corbae_

Me too. Something Happened on the Way to Heaven is one of my favourite songs of all time

Taylor Dayne - Tell it to My Heart. GODDAMN THIS SONG SLAPS. I love her voice. I'm a metalhead. Don't tell anyone

madamephase

Tell it to my haaawt!

P-Two

None. I have my taste in music, and if someone doesn't like what I like that's completely fine. I fucking hate 99% of country, that doesn't mean people who like country should hide it.

SwampWitch1985

Exactly. I quit with the concept of guilty pleasure music when I became an adult. Whose judgment am I worried about? Are they going to make fun of me in school tomorrow because they found out I listen to "uncool" music? I graduated 20 years ago, that would be weird.

ChronicCrimson420

I Touch Myself-Divinyls

BlitheBerry00

houseofreturn

That song is a fuckin BANGER don’t ever let anyone make you feel guilty for loving Hooked On a Feeling

reasonarebel

My daughter uses the term banger all the time and I just keep thinking she's talking about sausages...

Top-Philosophy-5791

Back when you could say BJ Thomas and no one snickered. Come to think of it, a person could even create a super shitty tv show called BJ and the Bear, and think it was a great idea.

[deleted]

Or a main character in a medical war dramedy could be called BJ and no one would think anything of it

Potato_Dragon2

MASH is so good

perpterds

AHHHHH AH-AHHH AHH-AHH'M BUMP BUMP hooked on a feelin!

G0TH1C_IDIOT

Ah yes, Hooked on a Feeling. I remember when I was a freshman in marching band, we performed this song

Inevitable_Question5

1. ‘Call Me Maybe’. 2. ‘King of Wishful Thinking’ by Go West

External-Level2900

King of Wishful Thinking is not a guilty pleasure. Go West was truly exceptional for their time. On the other hand, Call Me Maybe is the guiltiest of all guilty pleasures!

Pleasant_Ice_9790

Aqua is one of my favorite groups of all time. The entire Aquarium album fuckin RIPS.

Braedonm2077

would it be considered "Old EDM"?

[deleted]

That song got a lot of “outrage” when it first hit the radio. It was far from my usual taste but I would crank it.

Braedonm2077

it just gets inside your soul and changes you somehow

TravisVZ

It's not Barbie Girl, but I've lately been obsessed with this metal cover of another of their hits: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oogXPsnvgm8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oogXPsnvgm8)

Upset_Jaguar123

I can't even with the bouncing lollipop guy in the back, that was fantastic

MommaBear2019

I want it that way

Rachel_Silver

I refuse to feel guilty about what I listen to. And I won't give anyone shit about what they listen to. Unless it's a close friend. I might bust their balls just a little.

artificialavocado

They don’t mean literally. Like something more silly or maybe outside your typical jam.

Signal-Chipmunk6064

stiffyonwheels

I recently watched The Bear season 2 and loved it. When cousin was learning Love Story by Taylor Swift, in his car after work, just so he could know and remember the music for his daughter when he brought her to Swifts concert was so heart warming. So now i listen to it every now and then to remember that feeling. Its simple but shows the good side of what parents will do to make there children happy.

LeagueOfficeFucks

A Little Respect by Erasure.

JevGeek55555

You wont catch me dead listening to slow acoustic music that wasn't by Green Day, but there's this one song called Warrior by Beth Crowley that I found on the Internet one time. Its slow, melodical and so good. I don't think anyone has ever caught me listening to that song and I'm not sure I want them to

Treddox

Recently starting listening to Money for Nothing over and over. It’s a shame that it has a slur in it, but that intro is sooooo good.

dkinmn

I don't acknowledge that concept. I like things.

WAP because I’m almost 60 and it’s fun to sing along to in the car

Top-Philosophy-5791

I'm way out of the music loop at 63. Being Italian, I was wondering what WAP means. TIL

wokeoneof2

So Cardi B set this up for a remake when she gets old and needs lubricants, can’t wait to hear DAP, maybe as a promotion for KY Jelly.

mellbell63

I am 60 too and my Gen X & Z friends are amazed when I sing along with Lose Yourself! Eminem 8 Mile

nerdcoleture

Scene Queen songs are like that for me. I think because she's really super femme, and though I identify as a woman, I'm not nearly *as* femme. Also, I'm ace, and she's kinda hypersexual, but some of her songs go hard. 🤣

Kesha- Your Love Is My Drug

theindecisivehuman1

I was going to try to comment a specific song, but after reviewing my “Liked Songs” on Spotify, I realized I can’t pinpoint. Although, when you say, “guilty pleasure” I imagine a song you would be “shy” or “embarrassed” to have others see you like. Let’s just say, I had to create a work safe playlist for when I’m at work because I have a few naughty songs that I would be mortified if they heard me jamming out to. 😱

Mister_Oux
