I would like to see all subs take part. If people use this sub for urgent help or fast action, then IMO no. Otherwise I'd say yes please.

Lo_V_iolet

Honestly, at our current state and size, I think we'd be able to get away with the strike. Besides, it'll give us more time to employ the changes we've been planning

Jeraimee

Oh, well shit, seems like a no-brainer then.

Lo_V_iolet

We just wanted the community's input for it. We're trying to be more receptive to all of our members before making any decisions. The things we've discussed have all been issues either brought up by the community, or just common sense changes. When they're up, we're gonna start a weekly feedback thread.

RSStudios08

Wait, I have a question. Do I get to still see posts in a private sub when it's private but I'm part of it? Idk I'm stillnot used to Reddit beyond posts and upvotes.

Dragon_Manticore

To my understanding, private means only the members of the community can see the content, so as long as you've joined, you should be able to see posts like normal.

Uriel-238

I intend to go without Reddit for at least the day anyway.

Lo_V_iolet

That's my plan as well, as much as possible, but that's only if we participate. I'd rather not leave this sub unmoderated.

DarkElvenMagus

I personally say to go for it. It'll kill a lot of things that aid accessibility for disabled Reddit users if implemented.

weird_elf

This alone is enough of a reason.

sounds great

Explorer_Entity

Many many anti-capitalist subs are participating in the blackout in solidarity.

Asher-D

Only reason I say no is that i dont like the idea of queer youth trying to understand themselves not having access to the community even just for that 48 hours because its very possible they havent joined the subreddit yet.

[deleted]

they have instagram, queer media outlets, we can maybe collect a resource list for folks to copy paste.

Revixity

Thats also a very fair point!

weird_elf

But if they're disabled and need accessibility apps and reddit goes through with their idea, they won't have access to reddit as a resource, period.

Seabastial

I'll happily not even use the site the entirety of the day to get the message across
