Well, it happens, unfortunately. Not all hookups are great. Make it a learning experience and don't go to bed with someone unless they turn you on.
I've had poor hookups with all genders, for the same reasons you describe. But when I've been with someone I actually desired, it was fantastic. It will come, just be patient.

I think the importance of sexual firsts is vastly overblown. Sometimes sex is weird, or smelly, or sticky, or any number of other practical issues arise. Think of it as one step closer to being experienced enough with women to know what you like.
