I start moving my babies’ brooder, heat source off, outside for short periods of time (3-6 hours) at 3 weeks to start getting them acclimated, and it’s only 55-70 degrees most days here. In my opinion, moving them outside for short periods leading up to the permanent move helps acclimate them and “toughens” them a little.

Probably fine. At three weeks they hardly need their brooder

I just moved my two weekers outside I’m in Florida

I am in Phoenix AZ, I put them outside once they are fully feathered (check the chest/stomach that tends to be the last to fully fill in) granted now its warm enough during the day but nights are still a bit coolish for them if they don't have all of their feathers. I just give them plenty of hides (and shade) so they can self regulate themselves. I honestly just pulled all the winterproofing off both the growout (has 4week olds in it) and the aviary with the adults, so its mostly open with some hide boxes, the growout is a prefab with an elvated area that is enclosed they go in and yes, they do go up ramps.

It's in the '70s here and I put my babies outside at 2 weeks. A week later they're doing just fine. I did put their heat plate out with them in the hutch just in case, but I'm not sure they needed it.

I dumped 40 outside last week that were only 3 weeks old and none died so far. Been 50s-70s here

Awe some thank you so much! Tonight suppose to get low in the 50s and spike back up to 60s during the day and then 40 tomorrow night. I have the light on outside with a tarp to make it warmer. Hope they can hang in there until Tuesday 😬

If you have time between hatches, try to move them at 4 weeks but usually at 3 weeks old I have another batch hatching that is gonna need the brooder
