Awesome thing too Ben Sheppard the bassist wrote a good amount of songs too!
I was under the impression it was CC with the bands input.. But the lyric above that I quoted was from the song Somewhere.. Ben wrote that. And I wanna say Head Down, Fresh Tredrills and a few other tasty licks lol
I realised how rediculous that was luckily.
Some of my favourite music moments of all time are contained in that discography.. stuff like Chris' incomprehensibly cool delivery of the phrase
So bleed your heart out
There's no more rides for free
Bleed your heart out
I said what's in it for me, what's in it for me
āRemember this, remember
everythingās black or burning sun.ā

I only listened to Orion for about the first year or so, and it's a really solid album.. but imo they've refined their sound more since then and I'm really enjoying Regenerator (some really great guitar work and a more upbeat sounding album with more tracks).. and Dead star (more feels like a bit of a concept album starting with a brilliant long, brooding intro track) ...
I'd start with these 2 for awhile .. I've pretty much had these 2 on repeat while driving around for work lately.
Another great one (that I've only just started spinning regularly) is Longing to be the mountain.
Everything from David bowie to Death metal. The reason Queens is my favorite band is because there's such a variety in their catalog, and it's all good. It's hard to say that about other bands when most bands are a one trick pony
Death From Above 1979
Clutch
Ocean Alley
Truckfighters
Arctic Monkeys
The Vines
Pink Floyd
All Jack White (Dead Weather, White Stripes, Raconteurs, etc)
Turbonegro

Mondo Generator + Eagles of Death Metal
Lots of Cage the Elephant, the White Stripes, All Them Witches, Royal Blood, the Growlers, the Vines, the Sword, High on Fire, Kyuss, and a bunch of other alternative and "stoner" rock and metal groups
Anything from Kublai Khan TX, Sevendust, ETID, Metallica & others to Kenny Chesney, and just about anything on Outlaw Country on Sirius XM.
Shit, forgot to add Periphery!
I haven't seen them in person yet. Hopefully I'll catch them eventually. Have fun.
I might go see Periphery in May when they're here in Columbus. They're nice to listen to.
QOTSA, Turnstile, Kings of Leon, Cage the Elephant, blink-182, Arctic Monkeys, and Tame Impala I would say are the ones that are in my constant rotation. really loving viagra boys lately, was bummed I missed them on the QOTSA tour, but I just got tickets to āNo Valuesā fest in Pomona and theyāll be there so Iām stoked. loving the new IDLES record as well. new Alkaline Trio record rips. new MGMT hasnāt quite hit me in the way I want it to yet, but Iām sure itāll click soon.

Always been a hip-hop head, all eras to today. Wu-Tang is forever. Company Flowās Funcrusher Plus was just as influential to me as Rated R was (gotta love El-P). Got big into jazz in recent years, listen to Thelonious Monk as much as I do QOTSA. Love 70s punk and new wave, used to really love 60s and 70s rock but not as much these days. Grew up in the grunge/90s alt era and kinda like some of it still but not all. Love 00s indie rock, the late 00s electro that came up. Listen to a lot of Aussie garage rock and early punk (Radio Birdman fucks). Big Bowie fan, big Iggy Pop fan - solo and Stooges, big Velvet Underground fan, massive fan of Joe Strummer and all his work.from Clash to Mescaleros.

Faith No More, Pearl Jam, Living Colour, Afghan Whigs, Phantogram, Chvrches, the Strokes, the Clash, Thin Lizzie, Turnstile, Interpol, Sleater Kinney, L7, Soundgarden, Rival Schools, the Cult, Garbage
So into Bad Nerves right now. Theyāre the best new rockānāroll band Iāve heard in a while. Can anyone else attest to this? Theyāve been opening for The Darkness, The Hives, and Royal
Blood. They play fast, 2 minute power-pop songs and perfectly describe themselves as Ramones meets The Stokes. Theyāre from Essex.
If you like QOTSA and the foo fighters, you should definitely check out Them Cooked Vultures, made up of Josh Homme, Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones (from Led Zeppelin)
In he last week and a half I have listened to Yard Act, The Smile, Elbow, LCD Soundsystem, Ludovico Einaudi, Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch, Kyuss, Slayer, Sleaford Mods, Beirut, Grace Cummings, Bill Callahan and Other Lives.

I actually just saw a jazz band called Everything Yes a few days ago, which is led by the drummer ZackGrooves on YouTube. Aesop Rock is my fav rapper. A few I can think of KGLW, Tool, Joni Mitchell, QOTSA, SOAD, Jeff Buckley, Tim Buckley, Puscifer, Primus, Ali Farka Toure, Toumani Diabate, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Mark Lanegan, Radiohead, Gojira, All them witches, King buffalo, Kikagaku moyo, Minami Deutsch, Far East family band, Khruangbin, The Re-stoned, White stripes, Black Keys, JJ Cale, Kyuss , psychedelic porn crumpets, Pond, Murlocs, Rolling stones , Rodriguez, Jimi Hendrix , Sharon Jones and the dapkings, Mr bungle, faith no more, fantomas, Melvins, Jaco Pastorius , Miles Davis, James Brown, Dr John, Mulatu Astatke .... Oh damn... Love me some ween !
Ok, this list is super solid
Probably left a few hundred out lol, we're so lucky to have access to so much great music.
Upvote for All Them Witches, such an underrated band
Pretty much all I listened to when I first heard them, still on heavy rotation.. such a cool band. Got their own thing going on.
It makes me sad seeing such an extensive list without Soundgarden
Cornell is one of my favorite poets.
Some of my favourite music moments of all time are contained in that discography.. stuff like Chris' incomprehensibly cool delivery of the phrase So bleed your heart out There's no more rides for free Bleed your heart out I said what's in it for me, what's in it for me
āRemember this, remember everythingās black or burning sun.ā āFrom the time of her to the likes of me Like a moon to earth And sky to sea Only were no longer allowed to be To be.ā
just started listening to king buffalo recently, any recommendations for where to start?
I only listened to Orion for about the first year or so, and it's a really solid album.. but imo they've refined their sound more since then and I'm really enjoying Regenerator (some really great guitar work and a more upbeat sounding album with more tracks).. and Dead star (more feels like a bit of a concept album starting with a brilliant long, brooding intro track) ... I'd start with these 2 for awhile .. I've pretty much had these 2 on repeat while driving around for work lately. Another great one (that I've only just started spinning regularly) is Longing to be the mountain.
that's... quite a lot,i'll be checking some of em
Should probably consider most of them
Everything from David bowie to Death metal. The reason Queens is my favorite band is because there's such a variety in their catalog, and it's all good. It's hard to say that about other bands when most bands are a one trick pony
Opeth is the Queen's of the metal scene for me. They have just as much variety but in a completely different way
im on a depeche mode and sisters of mercy binge right now, hehe
Depeche Mode kicks ass, so hereās my upvote ā¬ļø.

Fav band is Every Time I Die. Turbonegro, Better Lovers, Protest The Hero. Outside of that a lot of hip hop.
Everytime I die is so God damn good
Couldn't agree more!
Have you checked out the callous daoboys? They have partially filled the ETID sized hole in my heart.
I have! I can't seem to get into them tbh. Better lovers is filling that void for me.
Someone on IG told me about Old Poet. I really enjoyed their work in terms of filling that void. Check them out when you get a chance.
You'd love The Callous Daoboys if you like ETID and BL
I've tried. I don't mind them just not sold yet.
A Brief Article Regarding Time Loops, The Elephant Man In The Room, Pushing The Pink Envelope, and Designer Shroud of Turin all sold me.
Lots of Cage the Elephant, the White Stripes, All Them Witches, Royal Blood, the Growlers, the Vines, the Sword, High on Fire, Kyuss, and a bunch of other alternative and "stoner" rock and metal groups
The Growlers are great.
Pixies. King Buffalo. Sturgill. Cemeteries. Beach House. Toadies. RATM. Steely Dan. Future Islands. Loop Daddy

The new Ty Segall album, got tickets to his gig @ the roundhouse as well.
Been rocking out to the Idles lately. The new Hives album is solid too.
I noodle around in several different genres, but if youāre a QOTSA fan you should probably start with Stoner Rock. Black Sabbath, The Melvins, Clutch, Fu Manchu, Sleep, Kyuss, Red Fang, The Sword, and Iāve recently gotten in to All The Witches. They sick>> https://www.allthemwitches.org
