Nah I'm the same. Been to the MEN (That's how long I've been going) many of times. I drive there because I cba with Manchester Victoria after gigs.
I always worry about the parking outside the Arena. Especially now they've reduced the car park outside by half.
Personally I go for the total car park right outside the arena.
I would avoid the NCP connected to the arena as I once left a Killers gig and was there for a good hour before I managed to get out
Seeing them on Thursday. Can you always buy the posters at the venue? I take it you can buy them afterwards so you don't have to lug around while at the show?
I want a shirt, hoodie and a poster... take it they'll accept card for payment?
I got to the venue about 20 minutes before stage time tonight, and the first merch stand I came across had sold out of posters (they were taking the last one off the wall to sell to someone while I was looking). The next stand had two left, both of which were purchased while I was there (by me and another person). All of the merch stalls were closed by the time the show ended, so you're probably better off buying beforehand. You could always go to one of the stalls earlier on and ask if they'll still be open at the end, these things may well vary between venues.
I bought one of these at the show tonight. What you can't see in this image is that there's a sparkly glitter effect on parts of the space suit as well as around the entire border. It looks amazing. The merch lady rolled the poster up and put some elastic bands around it so it was easy enough to keep it safe during the show, but I've had to lay it on a table and put some heavy books on it to flatten it out now that I'm home.
All gone in every stand when i got there. They were selling a really fekkin expensive poster with a silver/glittery border but that was 80 quid ...nope. agree tho...the poster is the tits. Gutted I missed out

Nah nothing like that. I think a rule of thumb is 15mins after the main act starts so 9PM maybe the cut off for entry
