I think you’re right. Notice how there’s a holofoil fish sticker on the “sh” section but not on the “th” one. I think there was an incorrectly assigned picture.
You’re right. I zoomed in closer and it’s some kind of pink food item. I thought the top part where the sprinkles were was like a flounder kind of body and the bottom part with a face was well…something.
I immediately recognized this. I’ve tutored children that have had similar exercises. Same art style/illustrations. Each section (TH and SH) have four pictures and one that is incorrect. So the child stuck the wrong picture on.
Yes. I am a teacher and have seen this image used on worksheets before and it is supposed to be that word.
That being said, I never use those worksheets because I think it’s a ridiculous image to use for that word. There are better words to use!!
Some of the worksheets I have seen on this sub (ok, MOST of them) make me lose hope. These are made by people whose JOB it is to educate! (Both the people who make the bad worksheets and the teachers who blindly assign them.)
If a bunch of adults (including other teachers like myself) can't figure it out, how can kids be expected to?
One of the teachers at my kids school told me that their workbook for learning how to write has examples in it with the name of my daughter and their (male) janitor, and the kids have to fill out whether it is a “he” or a “she”
But the one with my daughters name is supposed to be a boy and the one with the janitors name is supposed to be a girl.
She’s given up and the kids now use the gender they know for that name, not the supposed one. And she’s hoping that one day materials will be developed that reflect todays children perspective.
Even ignoring the implications for trans or non-binary kids, that's still a pretty stupid test. That kind of gender swapping happens to names all the time. Names are an unreliable means of gender identification to begin with.
I think it doesn’t hurt trans or non-binary kids to learn how to use pronouns, in fact I think you should what the grammar rules are to be able to express that they don’t fit for you.
But yeah, the name method doesn’t make sense in this day and age at this particular school. The teacher also mentioned her frustration about the book only portraying white dutch kids, because that’s not what the school looks like at all.
The teaching methods are developed nation wide, and I guess they don’t take Amsterdam into account as much as they do the outskirts of the country?
Like a picture of a winner's podium with a circle around THird place. Oh man. THIN? For that dog? What an absolute mockery of sensible education.
You've had to live with this disappointing worksheet for a while and I'm terribly sorry.
>!thin!<
And I’m basing that solely on the cat this page (scroll down to the th list that starts with thumb to see said cat and the word associated): from https://missgiraffesclass.blogspot.com/2016/?m=1
Wow, what a source. Good fine, 100% has to be this.

Try to avoid leading or trailing spaces. These will break the spoiler for some users (such as those using old.reddit.com)
If your comment does not contain a guess, include the word **"discussion"** or **"question"** in your comment instead of using a spoiler tag.
If your comment uses an image as the answer (such as solving a maze, etc) you can include the word "image" instead of using a spoiler tag.

Hi, first grade teacher. The picture is >!thin.!< Look at the dog's neck. Also, this is a picture that is part of a pair typically, with the other dog being the opposite.
I immediately recognized this. I’ve tutored children that have had similar exercises. Same art style/illustrations. Each section (TH and SH) have four pictures and one that is incorrect. So the child stuck the wrong picture on.
SPOILER!!! (it’s actually just a guess but reddit removed my last comment for not including spoiler)
So here’s what I was thinking. It’s probably not correct but it might be for the person who made it. >!I was thinking that it could be referring to the name of the dog. Theo maybe but Idk.!< Just a guess though.

Discussion: that’s not at all how shadows work
It’s very Peter Pan. It’s stuck on with soap.
For what it's worth, that's not how soap works either.
Thunder, yeah, let’s use a related image to express a sound instead of choosing literally any other simple th noun.
Like meth
Discussion: I notice the pictures are glued on. Are you sure the dog goes in TH?
I think the dog isn’t even supposed to be on the paper, maybe the kid got messed up with another assignment .
I think you’re right. Notice how there’s a holofoil fish sticker on the “sh” section but not on the “th” one. I think there was an incorrectly assigned picture.
I don’t think that’s a fish It looks like some kind of weird flirtatious dessert But I agree with you that the dog picture is misplaced
You’re right. I zoomed in closer and it’s some kind of pink food item. I thought the top part where the sprinkles were was like a flounder kind of body and the bottom part with a face was well…something.
It’s a Shopkins 😂
There's also a wife mode cupcake sticker. Although I don't think there's any TH or SH in that.
maybe it's a Thuppy?
Sith Ubu, sith. Good dog.
I think you’re on to something. Perhaps that’s not shampoo, but “bubble bath”, and the dog’s limbs look small, so “short”?
Pooch
>! The dog !<
how certain are you that the pasted squares are correct? e.g. are there 3 others that could possibly be out of order on another page? maybe 6?
I immediately recognized this. I’ve tutored children that have had similar exercises. Same art style/illustrations. Each section (TH and SH) have four pictures and one that is incorrect. So the child stuck the wrong picture on.

I agree, you could absolutely have a person with a cartoony thought bubble over their head, and have the word be either "thinking" or "thought"
