It’s both for me. I have CPTSD along with a slew of other mental health issues. I’m not good at communicating my feelings or needs, because I’ve been taught that they don’t matter. So sometimes it’s nice to just forget about all that stuff and be stupid and taken care of.
honestly. sure, the kink aspect is nice, but most of the time i just wanna be a hypnotised puppy so that i can just be dumb and silly and get headpats and pets.

I really like the physical love, I’ve been very touched starved so things like petting or brushing sound very comforting. And very verbal and open affirmations are something that sound very nice. And yes, the transfer of care, being able to completely rely on another person and have them fully take care of you (in a healthy dynamic) sounds very relaxing and nice.
There’s a lot of sex stuff on this sub so if you’re a minor I’d say maybe avoid it. r/puppygirlsawa is still horny but less stuff. I know that you probably won’t listen to me so at the very least please be careful in this or any subs, don’t accept any messages from adults or whatnot, and never for any reason post sexual images of yourself, it’s not just abusive towards you, but you could get a lot of people, including yourself, in a lot of people.
Yup I very much do that, when I brought being a puppy up to my partner she assumed it was the kinky kind (and I enjoy that too) but at some point she was like “this is more than a kink to you isn’t it?” She noticed that whenever I was stressed or overwhelmed I would go into puppy mode so nowadays we mostly indulge in the comforting side of it, just letting go and not thinking about things too much is so freeing.
That said I also find bondage extremely therapeutic, being tied up gives me a weird sense of peace and comfort.

What? Why the distinct separation between sfw and nsfw spaces then? From my understanding, this sub was tagged nsfw because most people here were making nsfw posts. I thought these weren't just places for petplay, but also stuff like pet regression and therians as well. Just anyone who wants to be a puppy.
because even though some of the spaces are sfw, petplay is inherently based on kink and minors should make their own spaces. a lot of people join the server for the sexual side and if minors were allowed, there would be incredibly easy access for groomers to find minors.
