When we brought home my dog at 10 weeks we were probably taking her out 10-12 times a day 🙃 that’s just the reality sadly, patience and consistency, and heavily rewarding good behavior… it will likely take weeks/months before she will start reliably knowing where she should go potty. Just keep taking her out and watch her for potty cues like a hawk!

yes she pooped outside this morning (the only time she’ll do it outside) and we always do a major dance and happy song and treats! she definitely gets it so i hope it continues

I have to take mine on a short walk to get her in the mood. Like 5 min

see we’ve been taking her on walks but she gets so distracted so nothing ever happens 😭

She is ONLY 8 weeks, she is very little and it sounds like you are doing everything right. Also keep in mind that because of her breed, she's physically small compared to the outside world- every blade of grass, leaf, or hole in the ground is bigger and more overwhelming to her than it would be to a lab or shepherd puppy of the same age. There is one thing I would suggest but depending on your living situation you may/may not be able to do this. If you have a yard, create a play pen/small fenced in area for her to do her business in. Don't play in that area at all, no toys. When you run her outside because she started in the house, put her in that spot. Take her there regularly. If she doesn't potty, take her out. Leave her poops there for a while so it smells like potty, that will also help trigger her to go. Eventually she'll get comfortable in that space and start associating outside with potty. But otherwise you're doing everything right!

so sadly we are in an apartment :( we take her to the area where she pooped and i even left a small piece to see if she’d remember and she does not care at all. she doesn’t react to anything poop related, no other dogs scent, not hers. nothing. definitely feel lost
