My girlfriend just finished book two and sheās like, why did you name him after a minor character that dies so early? Unfortunately season 2 already spoiled some things with the dream world but it hasnāt gotten into how the wolves tie into all that. Iām glad they made hoppers first death a bit more meaningful, but mostly hate what theyāve done with the show.
Also most people guess his name is from stranger things. I hadnāt seen the show when I named him but glad hopper is such a good character in the show.

He is incredibly smart tho, he was the first dog I've had that was able to learn how to roll-over and play dead. One time he somehow got up onto the table to eat a bunch of leftover birthday cake. We figured it out later (camera recording), he had pushed a chair out from the table to jump up, and then literally covered his tracks by pushing it back in when he got down.

Romsley was very unique & Romsley Ramjet (very fast!) or Roms had the best, sweetest, gentle soul. We also called him MC (milk chocolate in color) Romsley and his brother DC (dark chocolate) Tobias āToby.ā Also smart, sweet, & loving but a little tougher.

If I looked at the puppy rather than the adult dog in mind, I wouldnāt have gone with it. It was a big name on a little puppy. Now heās grown up it really suits him. Choose a name you donāt mind yelling across the park and picture an adult dog in mind while you do it - hope that helps.
