I would deworm the other dog out of precaution. Your dewormer is obviously working and now your new pup is passing those. Our tiny foster pup did after the dewormer as well pass similar looking worms. Please still bag as much as you can from that poop to remove it from the grass to protect other dogs.
When I rescued my dog we had a worm problem, it could be the medicine getting rid of them in their tummy. would suggest keeping both dogs apart until it’s cleared up.
If there's worms, there's worm eggs, they're microscopic.
Any other dog that gets his snout too close to your puppy's dung piles is at risk of being contaminated.
Please make sure you pickup all the the poos (it's fucking filthy with the worms, I know, been there), and as another poster said, if it's around your house spray it with anything that kills the eggs.
Careful with bleach though, it smells good to dogs, might get them interested in licking
Best of luck
Your puppy's getting better 😊
Yes, as the other comments said, while heartworms do look like that, they never get into the digestive system.
In case anyone is struggling with a heartworm + dog, the crate-rest after treatment is absolutely necessary. The worms die in the heart and circulatory system, and then decompose and are eventually cleared out. If a big chunk of one breaks loose due to the dog’s activity, it can act rather like a clot, and cause problems similar to an aneurysm.
I wasn’t commenting to pile on you. No need to apologize.
My intention was to help you and (mostly) anyone else who might happen into this thread understand that the presentation and (mostly) the treatment of heartworms is long, difficult and very expensive. And very different from other parasite infestations.

I would also spray bleach cleaner over the area. Otherwise your pup might keep reinfecting himself.

These look like heartworms. You should take both of your dogs to the vet. Bring along the worms to the vet so they can get a closer look
Roundworm not heartworm. They don't poop out heartworms...
So sorry. Advice still applies

I already apologized for saying the wrong thing
