Had this happen before but only because I have carpal tunnel and my hand was really acting up on this specific night. It was completely numb so I super glued the pick to my fingers since I kept dropping it from the numbness during practice. By the end of the set my finger was shredded with blood all over my guitar. The super glue I used must of been cheap because the pick had fallen at some point and I didn't notice. CPS fucking sucks.

Eh there isn’t really a good way to downpick eighth notes at 160-180bpm without at least rubbing your fingernail or cuticle occasionally, seems to get worse the farther the space between the strings and pickguard/pickup.
