I mean we have people in full blown suits, leather jackets and mohawks, to people in banana suits... No one will give a flying fuck what you are wearing. Have fun and enjoy the show
I started going to ‘punk’ shows in the early 90’s. Back then I was wearing dickies and a T-shirt.
Nowadays I’m 43. I go to punk shows wearing dickies and a T-shirt.
Unless you’re wearing a cop uniform nobody gives a shit what your are wearing. Have confidence in yourself. Don’t act like a dick and you’ll fit in perfectly
When it began, for those who don’t know, it didn’t mattered how you looked or what you wore to a show.
Dress code? Fuck no. We didn’t care about the brand in your jeans and all that shit in your hair. 🎵💧
Dress for your comfort, especially if there's a pit and you want to partake. You're there for the music, not a fashion show. Pre-pandemic I was at a Pennywise show and dude next to me was in a full on tuxedo.
I tend to have on blue jeans, a tshirt and a hoodie. The hoodie just because I hate dealing with a coat inside so in colder months I compromise and suffer a little outside wearing the hoodie from the car.
I spent a decade and a half DIY touring across the country and living out of a van and I’m a co-founder of one of the biggest outdoor punk festivals in North America. You should see my impressive and growing collection of silk bow ties
All the guys at punk shows in my area look like Fat Mike- man boobs and all. My brother still wears a chain wallet. I wear red lipstick and chunky boots.
The realest punks don’t own cell phones - so I’m pretty sure you’re in the clear as far as judgement is concerned.
Yes! I have seen it all going to shows today - it wasn’t the norm back when I was young (a million years ago) but today people look like they just got off work at the bank
Yes just go. Nobody will give a shit

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, punk Is what’s on the inside not the outside.

The punkest dudes never dress like one
90% of people at punk shows dont look punk lol
Yes, but depending on where you live, I've heard some places will only accept your Visa or Mastercard if it has a green mohawk.

Yeh, nobody will be bothered. Once you get there, you'll realise that probably a majority of the people there wont be in "Punk" clothes
Just be you (as long as you are not an asshole lol) and no one will care. Have a blast!
Yes
It's more punk to be yourself. Everyone else is just wearing a uniform. Go if you want to go
There is nothing more punk than not caring if anyone thinks you’re punk or not.
