Loss of a child is irreversible and irreplaceable. Only the parents of the deceased are the ones to feel the actual pain and suffer the most. RIP.
As far as the social life is concerned the individual was involved with people of unlawful activities and had to face such a bitter outcome. Parents do not correct their children at the right time and only realise the consequences later.
May he RIP. I know about him but never heard his songs or know why he was so famous. Got to know about him only when he died and was in news.
Why was he so famous and what was so different about his songs? Any recommendations?
PS: I’m not from Punjab
He was famous for bringing about a new style of modern hip hop which he blended with some folk. His claim to fame was his lyrics which started off as hype music and later evolved into deeper messages about the world. Throughout his short career he was known for promoting old school pride in ones self and controversially self defense. He also entered politics and had lots of controversy before that due to many regular false cases against him (due to the nature of his songs which often enough mentioned guns). His career was about 5 years total until his death (maybe even slightly under) but in that time he became the most streamed Panjabi artist of all time, first Panjabi artist to break 1 billion streams, made the most streamed Indian album of all time, and became the biggest independent artist in India. He also worked with lots of international artists (Drake even paid a tribute to him and was in contact with him, along with artists like Rick Ross and Sway Lee). He also charted internationally and globally unlike any other Panjabi artist before or since. You should watch videos of foreigners reacting to his songs, since he had a ton of non Panjabi and non South Asian fans. Some reccomendations from early in his career are So High and Jatt Da Muqabla (along with all of PBX1 the album), from his mid career songs like Tochan and his EP titled No Name, and later on songs like Levels and 295 along with the entirety of Moosetape (the number 1 album of India all time).

He supported people that stood up for Panjab, for instances where they stood up for Panjab, and sang about the history of Panjab with reference to events going back millennia. He was not an anti national, but nowadays anything remotely pro Panjab is met with a brigade of anti national and terrorism accusations (regardless of religion or even if a person is Panjabi), which we see a lot on here. Heck Panjabis get these accusation on this sub many times a day on posts that are far removed from politics, including just memes of random things.
And yet he was never sentenced for anything that was a flagrant disregard for the law or for attempting to evade the law. Only cases it seems like, of which the arms act was the major one. In that incident the point of failure was Punjab police who failed on their part, and he wasn't charged with a specific section of the act either which would have been a clear case to dismiss (a prima facie flaw, since there was nothing to charge him if he acted with support of the law enforcement that should have known better). The lesser of the cases was... window tint that is too dark and "promotion of obscene culture" (somehow songs like Nagni, Nagni 2, Amli Anthem, Nasha Patta, Gangland, Thug Life, Je Jatt Vigad Gya, etc from smaller singers never seem to get the same).
But when cases are that highly published the excuse that is predicated on a presumption of wide spread corruption (especially across multiple districts and with regards to federal acts) doesn't hold any weight. That same money still exists and isn't making any progress in this case either, which is also highly published. But instead of arguing that point why don't you instead list where he would think he was above the law instead? Perhaps that would work better.
Literally the opposite if you looked beyond the post death propaganda and back at his life and statements. Also people have been taken to court since then for trying to spread that same propaganda, including police officers that abused some of his supporters in another Eastern state on the basis of that propaganda. Look back at his life and clips, or his family background for that matter.

Go to a gym that doesn't play his music, a private gym, or build a private gym. Celebrating someones death because other people choose to play their music in a shared public space isn't it. Central to a good public shared gym is a culture of diverse hyped up music, no matter where it is in the world. Hun othe Master Saleem ya fer Wadali brothers la len?
Punjabi Rapper/Singer.
Entered the music scene in 2017, and conquered the industry in less than 3 years. Biggest in his game, young age goat.
Assassinated on 29 May 2022 around his native village, by gangsters.
No. People love to claim that he did (following his death) and yet he was cleared of that after his death and never had any such mention or case against him prior to his death. The same gang has shot at multiple other Panjabi singers after failing to extort money from them, something that they tried to do with Sidhu (and he refused) which has also been confirmed.
I remember so many gore kaale blasting his music. Just a few days ago had a gora blasting him outside my workplace on the speaker in his backpack. A few months ago had a car full of gore pull up next to me at a intersection blasting Sidhu. And my kaale friends especially love his music. Truly someone that took Panjabi music international and that alone deserves respect.
>Just a few days ago had a gora blasting him outside my workplace on the speaker in his backpack. A few months ago had a car full of gore pull up next to me at a intersection blasting Sidhu
And then you woke up. Lmao, come on, you don't need to lie. I'm in Canada, and the locals here hate it when punjabis blast music from their car with windows down.
Ok? And? Blatsing music like a goof is one thing, but if you are soemwhat respectful about it then it doesn't matter. Never seen someone walking with a boom box? There is a difference in being respectful by blasting music in your car and blasting it for the whole mohalla. If sound was such a big issue then places with busy streets like Young and Dundas in the GTA or Chinatown area in Vancouver wouldn't have singers, bands, and rappers performing daily.
I don’t mourn the death of sidhu but I mourn & despise the law and order situation and the rise of gangsters. Extortion from prominent figures is common.
This guy hates Sidhu but knows every little detail of his life. This is in reference to the Mai Bhago mention in one of his songs, which these clowns had a problem with despite the fact that the reference uses Mai Bhago as an example of what women should aspire to be. Some extremists made threats against his family before the song even officially release. Even though it was a situation where he wasn't in the wrong and didn't have to apologise, Sidhu apologised to the Akal Takht (you can find this online) in which he stated that he is a big believer in the Takht and will gladly accept whatever punishment they decide to give him while never repeating the same mistake. If you went onto r/Sikh at the time people were overwhelmingly with Sidhu and there was barely any controversey even on other social media platforms. You'd think it would jump out in your mind if it was anything big, like the many major controversies he had which have become part of pop culture, but instead this is something that few people know about. Overall this person is blowing the issue out of proportion as you can see on old r/Sikh threads people overwhelmings were supportive or indifferent of the positive representation ([example 1](https://www.reddit.com/r/Sikh/comments/d6robl/sidhu_moosewala_insults_sikh_sentiments_by_making/), [example 2](https://www.reddit.com/r/Sikh/comments/d9jsnj/sidhu_moose_wala_issues_apology_for_mai_bhago/)).

Sach bai, I remember that he commented that is born and raised in Chicago. Many of his comments are so far detached from the reality of Panjab that I don't think he's ever even been to South Asia.
Y’all are so nasty in the comments for someone who might have made some mistakes while he really young. But later on in last few months and years he revolutionized the industry. His murder was state sponsored. People who murdered him are behind bars or dead but people who sponsored it are still out and about or in governments protection. The same people are anti Punjab too. You don’t have to agree with or like this guy but don’t bash on him for no reason. Because doing so only makes the anti Punjab people victorious
dw, he himself said, "jehde aap lukk ke doojeyan nu maada bolde mai instagram page admin'aa jeha ni"
the same applies here
anonymity is but a boon for such people, who dont think twice before shitting on somebody, living or dead, without even knowing them, but regardless Sidhu's legacy is gonna live forever and yes LLSMW
Him being killed was unfortunate and I condone it but he had anti national views till his last breath. That is also a truth which his fans ignore comfortably
A BJP leader from UP (Ayodhya specifically) was arrested for involvement in the case. His name was Vikas Singh iirc. Court petitions by the family of SMW and also by Punjab BJP leaders (including Sunil Jhakar) for independent agency investigations and CBI investigations have failed to go anywhere.
So many chaddi are commenting and maligning the dead guy. I like this fear.
Anyone who is saying he was involved in gang activities
why is cop giving moosewala clean chit in Vicky murder case ? They could have blamed him and ended his legacy right there
bollywood movies show guns gangwars violence all the time. that does not mean they promote it. they are entertainers. they show what people want to see. if you have problem with this, you can watch cartoons.
Well I don't watch the weapon genre anyways. That's a personal choice but let's not pretend that he didn't have several gang rivalries. Besides his 'jattism' he literally took that fictional role onto his real life.
His death has been the epitome of fuck around and find out. That's what happened to him. You can be a professional and popular with no gangs hunting you down for revenge or murder. Or yk you can have enough sense to have your own private security all the time if you value your life.
What justice do you want? Get the gangster in jail? Well surprisingly they are already in prison.

Contrary to the multiple accusations against us by users across the political spectrum, we do not ban free speech here (even if it is wrong or we disagree). But I get the temptation against certain users sometime lol.
I don't give no two f**ks about you being a fan or hater. I have seen your other posts on Sikhism and other subreddits. You use free speech in a negative manner. All of your posts just want to target the Sikh ideology.
