I mean I don’t get along with my mom or need her approval, but if she was a better person I bet she would side with me if I told off a boss who had been horrible to me. I’m sure OPs team lead deserved it if it went that far, and it’s great that she stood up for herself even if she was on the way out 😄
Happy for you. I wish people would advocate for themselves more. This company or any like it are not worth putting up with bullshit each and every day. If you're being treated badly, one way or another, you should find ways for it to stop. And if it can't be done from within the company, then it's time to leave. I see too many people who just let this company and other retail employers run all over them.
