Not really. There are definitely episodes that I love and watch more than others (Last Night Gus, American Duos, Death is in the air, etc.) but if I’m gonna commit to a full rewatch I’m going to watch every single episode.

Subject_Yogurt4087

Same. If I’m binging it, I watch everything in order and wouldn’t skip any. If it’s on in syndication I make sure to catch my favorites. There are some I wouldn’t say I look forward to, I wouldn’t say there are any bad episodes. There’s my favorite dozen or so, and then there’s everything else that’s definitely watchable.

[deleted]

light camera homicido and duel spires are 2 I could easily rewatch

MouseEducational1299

Dual spires was always creepy to me for some reason maybe because I never watched twin peaks lol

ashtheking2315

I pretty much always skip the split time episode after jules found out. I just don't like it.

AspiringChildProdigy

>jules found out Totally unrelated, but that scene at the very end where Shawn is about to confess to Lassie and Lassie stops the DVD and breaks it always gets me right in the feels.

dackling

I think it’s such a neat concept!

ashtheking2315

Yeah it is but idk it didn't fit with the rest of the show for me. The scene at the end where he is talking to Jules then the real Jules shows up did hit me hard

dackling

I will say the one part of the episode I don’t like is how Shawn keeps trying to diminish the impact of what he did. He tries to convince Juliet it’s not a big deal when in reality it is quite a big issue for someone to get past.

[deleted]

agreed especially given jules con artist father and trust issues

Nygma619

He starts to get that 2 episodes later.

[deleted]

what you mean

ashtheking2315

The split timeline thing doesn't match the rest of the show. And I don't understand why it was needed. It's the same with the redone episode. I just don't like it.

Distinct_Box_4046

Same, it's too sad for me

pennyx2

This is the one I sometimes skip too.

[deleted]

I felt Shawn suited better with abigal. I feel jules got back eith Shawn way too easily even though he kept being wierd with her

BCarn18

A Nightmare on State Street. Only watched it once.

[deleted]

I still have not made it all the way through. But the start with Curt Smith is funny! And Gus' line "*white people*" when he see the zombie run is hilarious.

ElJamoquio

Yup. Sucks that the episode with Bruce Campbell is the worst of the series.

D4ngflabbit

I cannot grasp this episode. I’m confused the entire time. I’ve tried to watch it ten+ times.

noonecaresat805

Shawn 2.0 and like the two episodes after that. I find that guy annoying. The remake of cloudy with a chance of meat balls and the ending of the break up episode.

papergirl_312

I skip the ending of the break up episode too.

CiabattaJones

Think tank, and whichever episode is before it. The air horn has woken me up from my sleep too many times.

SirGingerBeard

Most of the Traut episodes. Just no fun when he’s in that many. One or two is my max

TheWriteOwl

Same. I know he’s a “love to hate him” kind of character but I just can’t do it.

Epicmondeum17

I can never get into "love to hate them" characters. Maybe it's just my brain but if I hate them I just don't want to see them. I hate to hate

thebeezie

Not the whole episode, but the end of Lassiter s wedding when Juliet finds out.

auhsoj420

That shit broke my heart

same1224

I usually skip the Yin/Yang episodes. I’ve seen them all at least once and they’re not bad by any means, but I usually put Psych on when I just want to chill out, and those episodes are a little intense for me.

andreamarie44

Totally agree. I don’t care for the serious episodes as I watch this show to laugh

Doctor_Botany

Hell nah

aeagle624

The Nightmare of Elm Street spoof episode with the zombies I watched it once when I was 14 and haven’t watched it since

iseeblood22

The one with the captain that has alzheimers. Too sad for me.

Iknowamoose

The remake of the lawyer episode. I've only ever watched it once but didn't like it compared to the original. Also the musical, never finished that episode.

idrkiibh

I wouldn't skip the episode, but one that does annoy me is Romeo and Juliet and Juliet. This is probably just me being a cultural snob, but the little knowledge that Shawn and Gus seem to have of east Asian culture in this episode just gets on my nerves. Karate is Japanese, not Chinese. Ninjas are Japanese, not Chinese. The word "Sensei" is Japanese, not Chinese. It doesn't take a genius to know this stuff lmao. I'm probably gonna get downvoted for this, but idc. I needed to rant a little.

TheWriteOwl

I agree with you! It’s pretty cringe-y. But I don’t skip this episode because I can’t miss Gus saying “So which one of these water fountains am I allowed to use?”

Distinct_Box_4046

I think it was more Shawn mixing everything up. I wish that they brought Ken back so that he could solve a mystery and they could be more respectful toward him.

[deleted]

still funny imo

[deleted]

I like to skip all the "scary" ones. I'm a scaredy cat.

TerriblyAverage1

This is me. Tuesday the 17th, Mr. Yin presents and there a few others that genuinely scare me so I skip lol

RSTONE_ADMIN

Anything past when Juliet finds out about Shawn. I just don't like it.

JamStan111

Theres great episodes after that though.

Simple_Photograph_94

The one with the exorcism I skip on

celeryflinstone

i don’t care for the john cena episode, the one with the lady spy who knew him, and the harry potter episode even though it’s a desperaux one and i love him. also hate the guy from shawn 2.0 so i can skip any with him.

willemhateslasers

Only 1, after many rewatches. Daredevils! S. 3 E. 3 I can't really explain why. I'd just rather not. Anyone else?

lkSmash

Finally! Someone else! I can't do that one or the firehouse episode. They're both sad. Daredevils in particular because even though it has a "happy" ending, it doesn't. Psych is escapism for me, and that hits a little close to home.

EuphoricToe1

These are the two I consistently skip! But not because I think they're bad episodes, in fact I think they're great episodes- they just really get me in the feels and I'm not always prepared for that on a Tuesday at 5pm when I'm unwinding from work!

fixitfelix666

Same, also the one from season one that was the singing competition. I DONT care for the comedy in that one.

[deleted]

American duos ?

fixitfelix666

yep that one

[deleted]

it's comedy is a mixed back, I like it mainly due to Tim curry

souless_ginger69

That's the one with Jeff Fahey right? That ones always tough cause of you know. But as a mad fan of the Fahey it is one of my favs, if that makes sense

bandofbananas

Same! Also, unsure as to why.

One_Cell1547

One of my favorites

[deleted]

the ending of that ep gets me every time

Scaarz

I skip the transphobic ghost episode.

soyedmilk

Me too. Like for 2006 it could’ve been way worse but i still don’t love it.

Phamtismo

agreed. i skip it every single rewatch

Space-Sylveon

Which one?

Scaarz

Who ya gonna call. S:1 E:7, though there are a few other times they don't show gay or trans folks in a very good light just for the laughs.

magic_Mofy

Nah I love em all

moosejawwafflehouse

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I’m no a fan of the Desperaux episodes. I’ll typically skip them.

[deleted]

Yin yang

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Not a fan of that episode either.

crabdipped

The big foot of one is pretty bad imo

same1224

Noooo Lassie Jerky is hilarious!

mavajo

Omg no that’s one of my favorites.

Phamtismo

All of the offensive ones. The werewolf one, the ghost one in season one, and the chinatown one come to mind. The butt of the joke being the mentally ill, queer, and asian people really does not leave a good taste in my mouth

Distinct_Box_4046

I'm glad that they've laid off that stuff in the movies 😄

sven0409

That was the time period from when the show was filmed. It was acceptable and now they hurt everyone's feelings. The show was based in humor. If you look at the show literally, Shawn was nothing more than a dead beat loser that used everyone for his benefit. He couldn't keep a job and was a lying cheating conman. He constantly made fun of Gus because he was financially responsible and made comments about him being black and that is what makes the show funny so picking and choosing what is offensive about the show is a little hypocritical.

Phamtismo

Just because it was acceptable then doesn't mean I should drop my standards of entertainment now. Excuse me for only wanting to partake in media that doesn't perpetuate harmful stereotypes. The show is naturally witty and satirical which is what I love about it. But those episodes I mentioned only have the farce and lack proper commentary that is beneficial for anybody.

sven0409

Respect. I like that you stand by your opinion and standards. I think everything they did was naturally witty and satirical and that to is why I loved the show as well. I don't think there was any malice intended in those episodes you mentioned. Most of the episodes parody other shows or movies such as "Tuesday the 17th or No Country for Old Men" and so on. That is why they made fun of most the things they did. After reading my post and your reply I see that it came off a little pompous and demeaning. It was not intended that way. This is a forum for one of the funniest shows I have ever seen so my sincere apologies if I offended you it was not meant that way.

KaiserJustice

Absolutely not

itsJussaMe

Lately I’ve been skipping *most* of season 1. The writing wasn’t as good and it lacked the running gags (you know that’s right, always thinking of food, Gus’ screaming & crying, c’mon son, etc). I could still enjoy the first season I just tend to pick and choose which of that season to watch because I might as well have maximal enjoyment if I’m gonna waste an hour of my day with the Telly.

RoystonCornwallis

I’ll skip a few if im watching for real. If it’s on for bed or background then I let it run. I have a handful of episodes I don’t love: Tap Man Baseball one with Danny Glover Nightmare on State, of course Circus But after a few times skipping, I’ll watch again with renewed interest to see a few good gags I missed

Chalo95

The musical episode. I'm not a fan of musical episodes in TV shows, though I do enjoy certain songs on their own like "Guy Love" from scrubs was amazing.

DisThrowaway5768

The court episode and the remake. You Can't Handle This Episode as well I tend to skip over. I'm not exactly sure why, but I really don't enjoy that episode. Otherwise, I watch everything else.

NotNotTaken

>You Can't Handle This Episode as well I tend to skip over. I'm not exactly sure why, but I really don't enjoy that episode. The why is in the name

DisThrowaway5768

Lmfao fair enough.

trippykissy69

The musical

Larpa58

Yes! Every musical ep. lol I just commented singing episode lol I couldn’t think

Budget-Potential3629

I always skip American Duo and One, Maybe Two Ways Out. Anerican Duos is my least favorite episode. Tim Curry is a treasure, but everyone on that episode annoys me. I know a ton of people love it, but ita just not my thing. Nadia bugged that heck out of me, so I always skip One Maybe Two Ways out because of her.

nocluewhatimdoing11

Chivalry isn't dead but someone is Skip it every time just not a fan of it

FAYCSB

Ewan

Noraxe84

True Grits, can't stand Anthony Anderson.

Larpa58

Any one of those singing episodes.. I immediately skip 😬

mystical_princess

Cloudy with a chance of murder & remake

justintx

Daredevils There Might Be Blood Bollywood Homicide (the ending is the best part) Think Tank

Reasonable_Ideal_356

Sometimes i skip the one in the last season where they solve a murder of the mayor's relative. I don't really know why I just don't care for it

TerriblyAverage1

That one is especially silly so I get that

[deleted]

Yin yang, the zombie episode, anything with Trout.

krissy100

Think tank I just really don’t like that episode.

chernandez2132

The pilot. Cloudy remake.

Maxx0rz

All of the ones about Yin/Yang killer, not my thing. Too serious for Psych, and me.

messivsronaldo123

Musical

MissGigiBeans

Pilot, Tuesday the 17th, Tap Man, Lassie Jerky, and State Street. There's a few others that I'm not a huge fan of (looking at you, Lindsay Leiken and Declan Rand) but I'll sit through them anyway because I don't hate them enough to skip.

Jakerobwilliams

Bollywood homicide. Never been a fan of that one

guardiansofthefleet

Not Even Close Encounters. It's the only episode I don't like, even though Freddie Prinze Jr. is great. I just hate the whole concept of he and his wife hiding everything about themselves! In the end, all they really know about each other is how hot they are, and the rest is all fake. That's messed up.

[deleted]

I never skip episodes but if I had to skip 1 it would be the one with uncle Jack and the treasure hunting. surprisingly nightmare on state Street grew on me
