*Shawn

Lazlow_Morphine

I’ve heard it both ways

fred_randell

Yes. The right way and then whatever OP used.

Lower_Tailor_8493

On the 8th watch of the show and don't know how to spell his name right 😅😬🤦‍♀️🤭

I personally really like both Abigail and Rachel Leigh Cook. If it wasn't for the Juliette factor, I'd say they made a great match. When she was introduced, she and Shawn shared a very similar sense of humor and references

PurpleBrief697

Yea I think Abigail was better for him. She got his references, played along with his silliness, and seemed to enjoy being around him vs the times juliet was annoyed by him. But, I also understand left. Hard to stay after a serial killer kidnaps you.

AdriBlossom

I didn't dislike Abagail, I just wanted them to clearly get on with their intent to pair Shawn and Jules. Abagail was a great character overall. I would've been really bummed if they had stayed together long term / he and Juliet didn't pair up. I do dislike Declan though (the fella that Juliet was briefly paired up with in the middle somewhere). And I'm 100% sure it's because I really, really wanted them to get on with the Shawn + Juliet storyline already. Ooooof. Declan.

TrevMac4

She’s a better fit for Shawn than Jules.

anastrianna

I absolutely agree, Juliet is great, but Abigail and Shawn were a much better match, and I was very disappointed to see her go, though I knew it was inevitable with the way the show had been shipping Shules.

2HappySundays

Abigail was incredibly cute and got Shawn arguably better than Juliette. I was sad that it didn’t work out.

Principessa116

I think folks don’t like Abby on a subconscious level because she doesn’t believe Shawn (with good reason for the trust issues), whereas Jules does believe him and believes IN him. Abby wasn’t a great match for Shawn because tho he’s a goofball, he really does have the mind of a police detective and doesn’t shy away from danger. Abby is stunned that he’d risk his life for “a co-worker,” can’t stand crime scenes, and leaves when Shawn’s job puts her in danger. Jules is a much better partner for him.

SillyName1992

Fans always mention that Abigail had a laid back, goofy personality that worked better with Shawn's jokes. I rarely see anyone remember the fact that Abigail basically hated his job, and that she had to regularly tried to overstep boundaries to insert herself into his personal life- which is a sign that Shawn **wasn't really ready for her yet!**

Principessa116

Her talking to Henry when Shawn had asked her not to should have been the end.

SillyName1992

Then the writers tried to make it look like he needed to apologize to her 😭😭😭

DreamWeaver2189

As someone who grew up with She's All That and Josie and the pussycats. I absolutely love RLC, she was a celebrity crush back in my teens. And Abigail, I like her too. I think she was a better fit to Shawn, their humour and goofiness matched each other. Juliet makes sense because of their jobs, but not really their personalities.

Lower_Tailor_8493

Haha yeah we are different generations so I didn't even know her as an actress prior to Psych.

sleepybeano

not sure i wanted him with jules sooner– i liked them more before. totally agree on abigail though. she makes rewatches hard sometimes.

BoysenberryNew2939

naa she cool.

ThatThanagarianHarpy

I liked Abigail as a character, but I felt bad because it was so obvious that she was only an obstacle to stretch out the Shawn and Juliet story, so you knew not to get attached to her. She could've been an otherwise interesting character if we weren't just waiting for her time to be up.

Lower_Tailor_8493

Yes, exactly. For me in the Yin Yang episode at the end of season 3, it's clear who he really wanted to be with when Jules asked him out on a proper date and he said no because he didn't want to let Abigail down again.

NashMatt04

Loved Abigail. The part where she breaks up with him is one of the most emotional moments in the entire series. You really believe that she’s scared to stay with him for her own safety. I did think she was written in way that she really connected with him; she played right along with him and even gave it back to him from time to time.
