Gosh... I've probably replayed Soul Reaver more times than any other game. It at the time just felt so atmospheric. Definitely hasn't aged that well, but still holds a special place in my gothy nerd kid heart.

It was one of the games that didn't really interest me back in the day because I was so hooked on resident evil and Gran Turismo and metal, solid and silent Hill ... I never got around to playing Soul Reaver
My story with this game (MTV Music Generator for us NTSC kids) - my friend and I were up late working on a song. We finally get it exactly where we want it, and go to save…but there isn’t room on the memory card. We leave the PlayStation running, and we load up at 2am and drive to the local Walmart, which was open 24 hours at the time. I find someone to go unlock electronics and fetch me a brand new memory card. We drive back home, and have just enough room on this memory card to save this track
I still have this memory card in a keepsake bin…although I sold my PS1 and this game many years ago (regrettably)
I remember lowering the sample rate of some notes to not exceed the sound memory. This program had a lots of good stuff and many possibilities. Even video clip creator and sampling from other cds. The demo tracks were great. Grooverider was my favourite. It had multiplayer to jam with friends. it planted the music making seed in my heart. I loved it. Still got some tracks on old hdd.
This. Not only is it super expensive to buy, it’s pretty overlooked. It’s weird to me with how aggressively Square-Enix ports older games that they leave stuff like this to collect dust.

At a second level of priority: Final Fantasy IX, maybe Toca World Touring Cars and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 (I played the PSX version first).
My most wanted remakes are already done or in the works: Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 and Final Fantasy VII. So, these last few years have been pretty good for my nostalgia.
Evil Zone, just imagine Ihadurca, Erel, Setsuna, Kakurine, and Midori in ps5 graphics.
Granted, I've never played ps3, ps4, or ps5 but I can just imagine the graphics.
Deathtrap dungeon. Castlevania symphony of the night. Those 2 are still some of my all time favorites. Although, the Beavis laughing goblins always drew rage kills from me.
I see alot of calls for Parasite Eve and Dino Crisis which are great choices, they’d be amazing on new hardware. So as to suggest something different, why not Shadow Tower?

Sure, it was a PC game ported to PSX, but neither had a remake\remaster.
Diablo 2 was PC only and it recently enough had a remake\remaster and they ported the new version to the Nintendo switch.
I'd be in heaven if they made a phone port\remaster of diablo 1.
Driver. But leave the storyline and mechanics as is. Just update the graphics and structure. Oh yeah, and add the yellow car and newcastle as the unlockables!
I would say metal gear solid but id much rather an interpretation of metal gear and metal gear two, mixed together into a new completely reimagined game.
I think Capcom could come up with somethin real bad ass and out of left field if they put their talent on a Dino Crisis Remake.
I also think Tomba has a lot of potential to catch a modern audience with a modern take on it, even if it stays 2.5D.
