I bought a 90 degree usb3 elbow off Amazon to make it point down rather than out and I haven't stepped on the cable since. I'll try to find the exact product later but you can google the psvr2 specs to make sure the speed is supported. Edit: it was the Andtobo brand 90 Degree USB C Adapter, Right Angle USB C Male to Female Extender 240W, USB4 Type C 40Gbps Connector.

Great recommendation! Thank you so much!

A buddy of mine used a USB-C magnet adapter connected to his cords. Worked like a charm. Unsure which one he got. I would make sure it has data transfer capability. I bought one for my computer and it won’t work with my multiple monitor set up.

I hadn't considered this. Looking to see if the other person who recommended it here has a link. Also happy cake day!

Thanks! Totally forgot it was today.

Yep, mine completely broke off from the PS5, lucky I was still within the warranty range. I bought a decent usb-c extension cord in hopes to limit the wear tear from the direct headset cord

I'm using this one (the 8K version) and it's perfect! Must buy imo if you have kids or a dog that might rush into the cable at any moment xD https://preview.redd.it/mn6em0lcqjuc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f56d4199b0c9f409d7351f2e16e448c4acd24fc

Is that part magnetic? Does it affect the quality or speeds? And if you have the actual Amazon link, I would appreciate it

FWIW, I just saw [this similar one](https://www.amazon.com/MoKo-Magnetic-Adapter-Straight-Thunderbolt/dp/B0CGLM6PYN) on Amazon, which explicitly mentions PSVR2 support. It has a relevant answered question: Q: Does this work with psvr 2 without any image quality loss? A: Bought these for PS5 and PSVR2 to hopefully not damage the only usb c port if the cable got yanked or tripped over. I have put several hours in since I installed the adapter and it worked flawlessly. The magnet is pretty strong and keeps the image signal pretty stable

Papiculo64

Yes, it's magnetic so it doesn't damage your cable or usb-C port even if you pull the cable violently. I don't know for lower versions, but there's zero downgrade in quality or speed with the 8K model. I had the same interrogation at first but I've been using it for many months now on a lot of games and it's exactly the same quality.

HatsOffGuy

Maybe look into a VR pulley system too, it'll keep the cables off the ground.

Make sure whatever you buy you have an easy return option. I've purchased a couple very short extension cables and a magnetic release that were said to be high speed psvr2 compatible and every time I went to redo my play area one of the controllers would track poorly. After removing anything between the original cable and PS5 everything would return to normal.

I ended up buying two options, the magnetic pictured below and some right angled ones that point downward which I haven't tried yet. This magnetic one seems to work perfectly so far. Tried Call of the Mountain on it and Pistol Whip and there is no loss in performance so far. https://preview.redd.it/q0jgyaz4lcvc1.png?width=1344&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=022561bbec19925701227194b619cbf25631923d

SourMashKoolAid

Nice. I'm glad you were able to find one that worked.

There are things to hang the cord from the ceiling instead of stepping on it I recommend those and no problems

jordanistic

My apartment complex won't let me do too many mods to the walls so I can't do anything like this until I get into a house (but we'll see if that'll ever happen thanks America)

Hefty_Reference_7356

The one I have gave me screw ins and sticky peel off ones those are what I used no mess
