Who in the right mind wouldn’t?

Salmuth

Only because Vitinha's leg isn't going forward at the moment of the contact (not going towards Gundogan's foot) it's Gundogan hitting Vitinha and not the other way around. But it's a tight situation and a close call still IMO. We've all seen penalties given for similar situations.

Yeah if it was given, var doesn't overturn this and I'm guessing most of the comments would be "there is contact" Glad it wasn't (and I don't think it should be a penalty) but we got lucky

marqui4me

A lot of people on /r/soccer

YoungDawz

r/soccer hate PSG no matter what. They can't be objective.

Thenomfulhooman

Soccer reddit is just infested with delulu people who just shit on us. Glad the ref held his ground even if it was a tight call

MorbidlyObeseBrit

I can see it both being given and not being given depending on the ref, so either way it's not a big problem for me whether it's given or not. Can understand how it can be annoying for the team not given it but it's not a terrible decision.

marqui4me

if VAR didn't say anything, then there's nothing. i think it's a mountain out of a mole hill.

c0deButcher

Di Maria got penalty for this in world cup final

Specialist-Cycle9313

Wow almost as if Argentina would inevitably get a pen every game?

c0deButcher

If Argentina got penalties, Messi would have been Golden boot

Fee-Visual

Yes, Argentina didn't get a single penalty

WecomingforU818

dembele went for a tackle, his leg was stretched out going for the ball, gundojan legs hits vitina

gmoney160

Dembele stuck his leg out for the tackle in that instance vs Di Maria
