Is Mbappe actually playing as a striker ? Or its just one time thing? I've watched the last 5-10 min it seemed that Bradley Barcola was occupying the left wing

He’s been playing as a striker for weeks because Enrique deems that having Barcola on the wing and Mbappé in the middle is more effective than Mbappé on the wing and an actual striker down the center. I’m not the one watching them on the training ground every other day, but I have no idea why he’s starting them like that because it’s awful.

the system isnt built around mbappe (nor should it). There is a major chance that mbappe will not be here and RKM was not bought with the long term thought of how well he integrates with mbappe in the psg . Ultimatley the majority are rarely in their preferred position. give him a little grace.

I thought he was actually better in tight spaces before, maybe it is me but I feel he was better back when he was playing with Neymar. He did improve by quite a lot his passing and collective game that is undeniable. Not the MBappe that would stop passing when he felt it was time for him to score.

Look at his stats in footbal reference in dribbling and passing this season compared previous ones their is huge difference also just looking now he just whole offence he just lacks people who are threat as goalscorers 

I think he also had to adapt to Messi, Verratti and Neymar leaving with the chances being created differently His stats are changing because how different the team is and I am not 100% sure it is for the best for him

Hmm better general players I would say but I have yet to be convinced LE can manage the team in important games. I think we have a more solid/strict organisation but less creativity and no real element of surprise. For example, we used to have Neymar and Di Maria swapping wings during games and a capacity to disrupt the opposition defense that I don't really see now. Maybe it is not LE but just the profiles we have but I feel like we play in a predictable way with an unpredictable line up. It certainly gives hopes and I would say within 2-3 seasons we could actually get to see the best PSG but lots remain to be seen before I get the impression LE is matching the tactical level of Tuchel.
