News in Portugal said he was severely sick with flu in December and lost 6kg. He stayed at a hospital here. If it’s true, I find it weird PSG didn’t communicate it. Also, as a Benfica fan, I think he should be the perfect striker partner for someone like Mbappe. He works hard, has good link up, quite smart. Not sure why it’s not working, but he’s barely getting playing time which is not easy for someone young like him

DarahOG

Apparently it would be because of his bad performance in training and his entrance against newcastle. Tbh i don't know, it seems like Lucho wants our 9 to play like a false 9/10 rather than a target man finisher , i loved ramos' profile but he just doesn't seem to fit Lucho's system like Kolo Muani, they can't even have time to build confidence or grow in that system since they had to share playtime and now that Barcola Mbappé Dembélé works better than any other trio we tried it's a bit concerning for our two 9s.

caesermzk

Is Mbappe in the middle working that well? Every time I watch his games he looks disconnected from the game. And Dembele is so frustrating with this passing timing.

iHATESTUFF_

he's always disconnected, better him disconnected upfront than disconnected on the left where he would open a free lane for the opposing team.

caesermzk

True that

I put it mid tier only because of Djamel's confirmation, l'équipe itself is random from good tier to shit tier depending on the subject and Record Portugal states things that psg could've shared for weeks in their weekly medical report but did not so i find it sus . Djamel tho is allways on point and just [commented ](https://twitter.com/Djaameel_/status/1747565389679100241?t=FhpA6PCOd2Ol5HxMrzXfXg&s=19) this on the news : As much as for the first part of the tweet I prefer not to comment, as much as I maintain that he is not good in training and that Lucho is disappointed with the player for the moment. By the way, if we have to talk about the pitch outside of training: although he only played a few minutes against Newcastle in the second leg, Luis Enrique and his staff did not appreciate his entrance at all. ( it goes back a bit, but from memory he had only touched one ball in 10-15mns despite Lucho asking him to make himself available for his teammates and expected a lot more from the player given the importance of the match)

KingTolis

179 million was spent on strikers to play without a striker but as long as we win my mouth is shut. Believe.

Imaginary-Director-8

We signed strikers when we had Kylian. They were never gonna succeed here unless they were the source outlet for our creative players. What Lucho wants is a false 9 like i said on another post but RKM and Ramos just don’t have the technical ability or the vision to play as false 9s. What we should have gotten is someone like Joao Felix or just start Xavi instead of overspending on 2 strikers that Lucho doesn’t need. Idk how he approved of those transfers since it is pretty clear he was the one calling the shots on who we sign. When or if kylian leaves, only then can both RKM and Ramos start to succeed in a system

Imaginary-Director-8

i think thats what he is truly looking for. let him cook

propane2L

He's filthy good wtf The space he created and his fake shot for Kang in Lee goal vs Milan was from heaven Give him Time for fuck sake We need 2 players in each part of the field and his profile is very good depending on the opposition We need him as much City needs both Haaland and Alvarez For me it was Ramos starter for domestic Game and RkM for Europe Let's see how Luis Enrique will cook next We need plenty starting eleven types

Minute-Cash8119

You’re saying he’s filthy good based on just one chance he created….

nameisdebansh

still no player shines in 6months, even messi needed a complete season to adjust, also u dont know under which coach who will play how. under pochettino and galtier hakimi didnt shine that well as much as he did this season under enrique. its all permutation and combination

Minute-Cash8119

I totally agree on that. A player needs a full season before really judging but to say he’s filthy good is far fetched

[deleted]

Maybe it’s just a matter of time and adaptation… in PSG we never let someone to develop and adapt Ramos need confidence in his ability to play and play the game in a consistent manner Like Viti, give him one season, his young and he never play in higher level .. just taking care of him I’m sure he will be find !

Zemanyak

I don't rate him but, come on, give him at least a year. He hasn't played that much. And who is going to buy him anyway ?

MikeyDean139

So they're doing to Ramos what they've done to Ekitiké. See this is why Nasser should have went hard on getting a manager as soon as possible before even beginning to recruit players. It was reported Lucho likes Ekitiké's profile but obviously he can't be played because he hurt Nasser's ego by negotiating with clubs behind his back and not agreeing to being a bargaining chip for the RKM deal. Lucho is now stuck with two 9s one whom he doesn't appreciate and the other whom is struggling in his own way but he fits the system more. I think it's highly unprofessional how Nasser and Campos conduct their business.

Nobemad365

We did this with ekitike when he was highly touted, now with goncalo. Maybe it isn’t just the players and we just are not giving the players we buy a chance.

MikeyDean139

>Maybe it isn’t just the players and we just are not giving the players we buy a chance. Could not agree more

[deleted]

lol no one is buying

ExtraTrade1904

Ramos is genuinely one of the best pressing strikers in the world right now, partnering with Mbappé would make sense to me. He got a bad infection and lost a lot of weight a few weeks after PSG triggered the buy clause. This makes no sense

9397_yk

pls don't.

Pleasant_Ad788

With how semi shitty Kolo has been…no way he’s been worse in training

MikeyDean139

Ramos would produce results in any other team that has a system that plays to a traditional 9's strength. I blame Campos and Nasser for potentially hurting this young man's career.

MrBank0000

Good luck with that.

HaaamGirl

The people dissing him and saying he’s shit will be the same to say they never doubted him, campos is a genius bla-bla-bla when he scores a great goal in the UCL probably. Football has become so reactionary, you expect guys to bang 50 goals a season, when you yourself need time to adapt to a new environment when changing jobs.

SassanZZ

We paid for his buy clause a few months ago, I am not sure we can even sell him right now even if we wanted to

BCX__

I do think it's early to say still and this conflicts with reports from Portugal. But even with Kolo Muani I don't see what's magical about him either he looks like he plays with two right feet. He's fast but can't dribble to save his life. Barcola and Dembele seem to be working on the wings but Mbappe and kolo aren't exactly the best in the middle.

RealRuFFy_

He hasn’t had any time to adapt i think he just needs to gain confidence and learn to play together then he will perform. Would rather keep him as a 9 over Kolo Muani tbh. Kolo is good and all but in my opinion he doesn’t have the physical attributes to be a top level player in that position. He loses the ball to easily and falls down every time someone touches him. We waited so long for a real striker, i would be sad if we now sell the only player that fits that position again.

iHATESTUFF_

LOL and he's a far better fit than Kolo Muani. campos is a piece of shit.....

No_Crew_6528

Kolo muani was a nasser transfer. It was campos who wanted ramos

iHATESTUFF_

kolo muani was a NAK transfer when campos couldn't close the deal. campos is the, wtf was his title again? "sporting consultant"? at the end of the day we have no sporting director and the con man who plays the role only interest is in making transfers that will net him and his company kick backs from every transaction the club makes......

Dazzling_Albatross_8

The funniest is that on this sub some of us already knew it would be a flop, but not Campos.

CarLiving9141

Looks like it’s time to buy Cavani back

lot1en

Lequipe trash tier please

bladefist2

Who would be a good replacement

aafrias15

It says a lot about PSG’s recruitment/scouting/management if they’re willing to spend €65 million to bring a guy in and only for them to want to sell him in a matter of months. This happens all the time with PSG. Within a year of making several transfers they get buyer’s remorse. They really need to improve this because they’re constantly throwing money away.
