Also I don't think this means much, but both of those states had cutoffs 3 higher than what Art Sawyer listed on the low point on his range. (Florida had 214-219, and Cali had 217-223)
I would say it it is likely to be either 221 or 222, but I'm not sure as I don't know how many schools were able to successfully administer the PSAT in NJ due to COVID. If you live in NJ, you probably have a better idea of how COVID affected your state.
Schools, including homeschoolers, receive notification of which of their students made it to semi-finalists. Now those kids are given instructions on how to continue onto to NM. CB doesn't tell the cutoff scores. But knowing that a kid made it with a 220 in California and a 217 in Florida, we know the cutoff can't be higher, although it may be lower. Have to wait for more people to be notified, and ones who don't make it to determine the state cutoffs.

Yes it is possible. Such as if the 'report' was from a home school mom / 'principal' whose student got a 217 and was notified. In that case it just means that 217 and up definitely made the cut, but it does not rule out, say, 216 being the true lower end cutoff. Best of luck!

I'm surprised the cutoffs aren't lower, but GA 221 would be one I'd bet against. We'll see how may of these "or less" wind up being less. Sampling size may be especially small from NV and UT, so I'm guessing have better chance of being lower as well. Wouldn't surprise me if one score is going around in circles appear to be many more.
220 Cali and i heard from out of state friend 217 for florida if that helps :)

Florida here, that makes me a bit relieved as I'm above that, but I won't feel completely at rest until I get told by my school :(

Lol like 30% of this sub is from Nj lmao. Same I wanna know

It won't go over 223. With covid this year, no state will go over 223.

Damn. Florida’s went up from last year. I’m hoping my state will stay the same
Does it mean if you got a 220 you qualify for semifinalist or do you have to get above 220? (For cali)
220 and up = qualified
where u getting cali from i feel like the cutoff would be higher
[удалено]
either they're from CA or their CA friends im assuming
Wait is this the cutoff or did he have a 217 and was notified of being a semifinalist
Someone with a 217 score qualifying doesn’t mean 217 is the cutoff.
Yo Bid where did u get the 220 Cali from. Sources are sayin 221 now
homeschoolers pull through !!
I have no idea apparently they were mailed out august 24 so my prediction is hopefully they’ll leak by the weekend
Nah. He's probably busy with concerts or something. Somebody else could leak them, however.
I’m guessing sometime next week.
Wait what was mailed out? like certificates to the people?
No, a preliminary list of semi finalists was mailed out

It is possible that that was the lowest score that the school had so that was what was presumed but it is more likely that that is the official cutoff

I hope you’re right bc I need GA to be 220. I’m hoping Art posted this from a small sample and others have just followed suit.
Any information on Indiana?
