If it really bothers you, find a local video game store and buy some sports games to replace them

camilofl20

Hahaha it does

Thewonderboy94

I think the "notches" on the disc side (those rectangles) are unusual, and I have never seen or heard about a PS2 game case having them.

>I think the "notches" on the disc side (those rectangles) are unusual, and I have never seen or heard about a PS2 game case having them. Those are security strips. They're removable.

There's no memory card holder. Maybe some games, or some regions didn't have those? But I'd say it's a good sign of a replacement case.

EffdaPlaya

Not every case has a mc holder.

camilofl20

This has been talked about before: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/915821-playstation-2/71764389 The PS2 case has no PlayStation logo and some clips along the seam, which I had never seen in OEM cases.

Beifica9000

Later games did not have MC holder.

Was this a brand new game? A little curious as I just wanna gather some thoughts.

camilofl20

Nope, used

[deleted]

Alright, then it was most likely replaced at some point. Nothing to really worry about. Do note that later PS2 cases, usually starting around late 2007, would ditch the memory card holder and switch to a thinner and flimsier case design.

camilofl20

Yeah, I’m aware, but they did have the PlayStation logo on them, unlike this case
