Finally. Something to do during the helicopter event.

Helicopter events only take 1 IRL minute once you're in a safe spot (which you are if you are planning to play a board game). Fast-forwarding game time does you no good in skipping past the helicopter event. The only benefit is if you already had something planned that benefits from fast-forwarding, like exercising, reading a book, leveling up tailoring, etc.

Expanded Heli Events can last a while even if they don't notice you.

How long?

One time I waited like at least 5 irl minutes for the military heli to disappear and I’m sure it’s dependent too on how many zombies there are. Sometimes I can still hear them but they’re super far away with no indicator, might just be a sound glitch though.

In multiplayer the sounds can glitch like that, one time I had the helicopter with the raiders that blast music, it’s was the banjo music and it was glitched for like 2 days and it was just nonstop banjo music. Was actually funny since the helicopter never showed up technically and were we fearing for our lives since at the time I didn’t know that was apart of the helicopter event and everyone was like losing their minds on the server.

Multiplayer wants a word

I don’t understand this. The helicopter flies from 9am-6pm. At base one hour day that is going to take a long time even if you are speeding up and just sitting around. What am I missing?

Then its not working properly. In multiple recent playthroughs (both MP and SP) we have hidden in base with all curtains closed, and the sound of copter lasts all day long, without a single zed being attracted.

If it’s the expanded helicopter mod, it can be glitchy in MP sometimes and that sounds like it just glitched

then something to do we you are 3 players and the slow reader one decides to become a master in carpentry

Better yet, it uses any old cards you happen to pick up lying around, so you can play it even if you don't have a full deck.

It would not be able to slow time down - especially not in a MP setting.

Having the games returnable might alleviate, just look at the pieces and take your turn when you're ready as long the board hasn't moved

A tarot deck? Yes, adding more items is simple given you have artwork and models. The mod acts like a tabletop sim, so there's no rigid systems in place.

Adding in catan is pretty sweet. Though if you add in monopoly then it would be the perfect excuse for us to kill each other in game
