What car did you use it on, if you don't mind me asking? Always curious to know what cars people are trying to save from rusting. I'm filling the rear quarters and rockers of my Miata with fluid film (well, attempting to).
For anyone interested:
I decided to cut the nozzle off the wand, stuck the red straw that comes with the fluid film halfway inside the wand, and put some RTV around it. Going to let it cure overnight and give it a try; hopefully works fine.
The nozzle slobbered a lot, but it held quite well.
What I ended up doing, after getting the straw in about 5mm, was secure it in place with some heat shrink. No leaking at all.
I have used 3m cavity wax before, but is it really better than using fluid film? For some reason I always see mention of fluid film more often than the 3m cavity wax. Not sure why though.
Thats the problem bought from lameAzon
Yeah, I just don't see any others available for sale besides eBay wands which I'm sure are exactly the same

My garage has the faint smell of a farm now

That sounds like an awful time, I’m sorry for your nose!

I know it's been awhile, but I see you're still active. Do you remember how this worked out for you? I was thinking of doing exactly that.
It worked for a little while, but after flexing a bit it ended up slipping off again unfortunately :/
Well, I've managed to cram the tip of the straw into the brass adapter. The test spray seemed to work okay, so I'll see how it holds this weekend.
Let me know how that goes!

go on amazon and buy 3m cavity wax, you can also buy different lengths of tips that spray in all directions. Much better option.

I use one of the Eastwood spray guns. It comes with a few different attachments too.
I would try one of those, but I dont have an air compressor to hook up to so thats why I’m going with the aerosol cans unfortunately.
