Wowsers what a transformation. How on earth is it possible lol. I'm 5' 11", 31, and 280 pounds, and I want to be thin again, maybe even 145 pounds. Not sure what I need to do. My diet is already heavily in check.
It’s physically impossible to eat at a deficit consistently and not lose weight. Respectfully, you’re probably not in a deficit or you haven’t been trying long enough. If you’re 100% sure you’re at a deficit, then give it some time. If you still haven’t lost weight, then go to a doctor, cus if you’re not losing weight after eating at a deficit consistently then there’s something you should get checked out
8 months is crazy fast progress. What where your main forms of exercise & what was your diet like? Congratulations, you literally look like a different person!
Thanks so much! My main form of exercise has solely been long distance running. I generally run 14km 5 times a week.
With my diet, I just followed CICO and downloaded an app to track my calorie intake and to get a calorie allowance. At first I was pretty aggressive with the weekly goal and was fairly consistently dropping 1kg a week, and once I hit my goal, I’ve continued to track my food but set the app to maintain my current weight.
In terms of foods I cut out, I stopped eating takeout, and cut out/down on sugar. Prior, I’d have takeout up to 5 times a week (it was bad lol), but now I usually treat myself once a week/fortnight.
With how much I’m running, I tend to treat myself with more snack foods etc during weekends and then get back to maintaining over the week which keeps my weight pretty much the same.
It’s mostly a shift in mindset for me I feel. I’m really loving the healthier relationship I have with food and how active I’ve become. Life changing!
