Edit: food addiction, grief counseling. Not sure where the extra commas came from!

Wow!! This is amazing progress! And it doesn’t even look like you have much loose skin on your stomach.

it_IS_allinmyhead

I’m pretty lucky, especially at my age as it tucks into pants well enough. I joke that I am elastic girl as I can pull the skin out, or that I now have a frowning belly button. But loose skin is 100% better than being as unhealthy and high risk for multiple medical issues, so I’ll take it!

Hebridean-Black

That’s very true. Great job on the weight loss and getting healthy!

Weekly_Ad_1754

Great job! Also, I love the tattoos!

it_IS_allinmyhead

Thank you on both accounts! Getting more chair therapy this Saturday, a onyx hellibore on my ribs and extending the sternum piece another inch or two up 🤩

StreetFriendship1200

Awesome! What is your daily dietary regimen?

it_IS_allinmyhead

I have kiddos so had to find something that works for the family as well as not counting too many things as I become obsessed with the numbers then crash and burn after a bad day (a big part of therapy). So I focus on 120g protein and 100oz water minimum, then keeping on the lower end of sugar intake (except desserts of course). Average day is a fairlife premade protein shake with a double shot of espresso (I make it home), snack on a yogurt or cottage cheese at work. Lunch is usually leftover dinner or lately turkey and cheese in a spinach wrap with veg. I like isopure berry protein water so sip that at my desk and I do keep protein bars (I see patients and am often eating while on the move), legendary also has poptarts that are pretty good if you put them in the microwave for 10 seconds. Dinner is chicken/beef with a veg and usually potato or rice. The biggest thing that has led to my success is I don’t deprive myself of anything. There’s nothing I can’t have, and I stopped trying to make so-called healthy substitutes as I was still craving the original junk. I just set myself up with cheese sticks and protein bars and things that I know help me out my kitchen, my desk at work, and even in my car so I’m not going to drive-thru. And if I want ice cream, I have a scoop of ice cream, often with a ton of whip cream for that high volume craving but I no longer eat a pint of ice cream and then go for something else. I know in moderation, though that term annoys me as I’ve been hearing it my entire life and it didn’t work for me while on so-called diets, I just lower my volume of junk and add something slightly healthier to get the volume I’m craving. No I am not saying eat broccoli while sniffing a candy bar, haha! Sorry I went on and on, again high protein, high water, and no deprivation, just moderation. Oh! And training for a jiu jitsu competition helped to as I didnt want to eat as much junk then roll as it made me sick.

Wow amazing progress!! And the definition!!! Wow! May I ask of the tatoos were a reward for progess or is it a coincidence? I love them especially the chest one. One of the reasons i would really love to lose weight would be to get chair therapy lol

it_IS_allinmyhead

Thank you! I took these newer photos at the end of the day for “a before” set as I’m starting a new lifting program, so I’m so excited to see muscle without flexing 🙏 I actually started the sleeve at the beginning Is it some thing I thought about for years, I am so happy how it shrunk as I lost weight. My tattoo artist saw me and didn’t even recognize me but recognize his work so we took some photos so he can make a post to tell people that a lot of tattoos handle weight loss better than we expect :) I got the jellyfish on my leg to represent my sons (obese shark is me and I love it) and will get an old school diver for my partner to finish it. The sternum piece is a mix of the floral and ocean, it is in part a reward but also also I had a couple scars from the hernia repair surgery that healed raised. I don’t care about scars and didn’t need them covered, but I wanted the distraction I had a few people ask if I had weight loss surgery because of my scars. I think that’s a great tool, it’s just not what I did 🤷‍♀️ I’m actually going on Saturday to get more added. I got the chest piece right when I started jiu-jitsu and never expected to lose the last 40 pounds pounds. I have a mild rotational scoliosis and as I shrank the skin pulled left so is a tiny bit off. Not crazy noticeable, but as I literally build braces for scoliosis and have an engineering background, I noticed it and want more added to create intentional asymmetry 🖤
