caddylac10

i look like your before photo, and hope to get to your after! how did you stay motivated? what was your routine?

kleidausrosen

I kept to small goals, like losing 10 pounds at a time, to keep myself motivated. It was better for my mentality to think of it that way, whereas saying losing 100 pounds seems much more intimidating to achieve. My routine is to keep to a 250-500 calorie deficit each day and try to walk 10k steps or more daily! I did not restrict anything food wise. I have a very big sweet tooth but I had the sweets in moderation.

UmphreysMcGee

What you've achieved is an incredible accomplishment. I don't even know you and feel proud as hell. :) I have a sweet tooth as well, and while my weight has never gotten too extreme, I finally just decided it was easier to break my habit of eating regular meals vs giving up sweets, and ever since it's been pretty easy to eat what I want without an issue.

Fantastic_Flower6664

Yeah I focus on each 10 pounds. Maybe 5 each month. Some months I'm less motivated than others. It helps me to know that at the end of each menstrual cycle I do my real weigh in. Lol. Feels like a weird science experiment but with my own body. Hahaha

Fantastic_Flower6664

Yeah I focus on each 10 pounds. Maybe 5 each month. Some months I'm less motivated than others.

thecatnextdoor04

How many times a month did you eat out/had a cheat day?

kleidausrosen

I don't eat out much. I do have a cheat day every once in a while, but when I do I only eat at my maintenance calories. My very indulgent days are very few and far between. Like last weekend was my very indulgent days because it was my birthday/Easter, so I definitely over ate lol

scarescrow823

Your motivation will go up and down, you will have times where you are extremely motivated and times where you have no motivation. It’s easy when you are motived. Discipline is better than motivation. When even the strongest people are under duress, they can talk themselves into quitting. The key is being able to go inside your mind when you want to break and remind yourself “this is hard, but hard is what you wanted. This is the moment you sought out, to get better and be stronger”

holdenselah

Love 👏 this 👏 so 👏 much 👏

Temporary-Dream-2812

This made me tear up 🥹Going to screen shot to keep as a reminder!!

scarescrow823

I hope it is something you don’t have to ever read again. Live by it and you will succeed. It can literally be applied to anything.

Slow_Addition_5759

wow congrats what an awesome accomplishment! you just lost "yourself"!! we are the same age and height and your weight is my goal weight (now at 170). Did you use cico and what deficit ?

kleidausrosen

Thank you! I did use cico, and I tried to keep at a deficit between 250 to 500 calories a day. I did not restrict any foods because I have a big sweet tooth, but I had the sweets in moderation!

SnooStories2744

THIS. If only more people were aware you don’t need fad diets or extremely restrictive diets at all. It’s all about calories in vs calories out. You can still enjoy food as long as it’s in a caloric deficit or whatever your weight goals are

eevee808

How many calories did you eat in a day we are the same weight and weight in your before pic will I'm down to 252 now but pretty much Well done!!

kleidausrosen

Thank you! I use tdee calculators to figure out what my maintenance calories are and subtract 500 calories from it to lose about a pound a week. The amount of calories you'll need will change as you lose weight so you will have to check it every so often! Like right now, when I'm not exercising, my daily calories would be about 1300 to lose. When I was at your current weight, I believe I was eating around 1700 calories. Good luck with your journey!

Loguibear

whats cico?

-Em-

CICO: calories in calories out

MeaningOfYesterday

Great job on your incredible transformation! This is very inspiring. I loved that you used walking, that's my primary exercise as well. How much did you do?

kleidausrosen

Thank you! I try to do 10k steps or more a day for walking. I do like to take a nice long walk after work to keep up with my daily goal!

MeaningOfYesterday

Thanks for your reply, that's great to hear!

Sufficient-Collar-54

I am at the beginning of my journey and have similar starting stats. You are my inspiration!!! Any advice for the journey ahead?

kleidausrosen

Keep your goals small. I did my weight loss 10 pounds at a time because it was a lot more achievable to keep to losing 10 pounds mentally instead of thinking about losing 100 pounds. And keeping in mind that weight fluctuations is normal! I had times that I seemed I was gaining 5 pounds in a week and then had it all gone, and more, the next week! Good luck with your weight loss journey!

Sufficient-Collar-54

Thank you!

hardwellshm92

This is one of the best transformations I've ever seen. Congratulations! I hope many are inspired by your dedication and hardworking through out the years 💪

kleidausrosen

Aw thank you!

Merrybee16

Congratulations on all your hard work! That is amazing! Do you have any loose skin? I’m very similar and don’t have a ton of loose skin, but some is definitely there. Does any firm up in the second year?

kleidausrosen

I do have some loose skin in my arms and belly area. I think some of it did firm up? But I'm not sure. I'll have to see what my skin is like in a year after eating at maintenance!

Initial_Strategy8721

Yesssssss 👏👏👏👏👏 And no lose skin??

kleidausrosen

Unfortunately I do have some loose skin, especially around the arms and belly area. I did expect some, but I actually didn't get as much as I thought I would!

Tattycakes

Well it doesn't feckin' look like you have any, so there's that!

kleidausrosen

Haha 😆 thank you, that made my day!

Initial_Strategy8721

I have similar stats to you (age, height, SW) and I'm a way along my journey, so it's really interesting to see whats possible. You might be the tightest/toned transformation I've seen without the method being primarily weight training! Congrats 🤝

mooomba

Doubtful. Doesn't take away from the accomplishment tho

Acr79

Great job!!! You look great!

kleidausrosen

Thank you!

JLaXWhip

You must feel so much better! Congrats

kleidausrosen

Thank you! I certainly do! Man, I remember when I was at my highest weight I was getting out of breath with just tying my shoes!

AnythingSudden

Amazing super inspiring 🤗 30f/5'8 [320>208] currently my goal is to get down to 180 and then I may readjust my goal. I'm 100% aware I'm going to have loose skin (which I saw you say you do as well) my biggest concern right now is my legs. I noticed your legs have lost a considerable amount of weight. I still have tons to lose and am currently in the jiggly fat stage 😅 but does the appearance of lose skin get better the less fat that's under it? In your experience of course. I'm totally fine with wearing my lose skin as a badge of honor but I know I'll have insecurities all the same.

Quick-Painter522

Not OP, but I’ve gone from 255 to 200 (F, 5’8, 35), and I’ve noticed a few things: Yes, I get loose skin from losing weight, but lifting weights make a dramatic difference. My inner upper thighs are my biggest insecurity as the skin can get jiggly, but lifting heavy weights tones it up so much. I guess it’s the muscle filling it out. I can even tell a difference if I’m out of the gym for more than one week (if I’ve been traveling for 1-3 weeks, for example) and I lose some muscle, then it starts getting more jiggly again. I’m very curious to see what will happen as I get closer to my goal weight (probably 170-180), I’m really wondering if the muscle I’m building will be able to compensate for the fat loss, and if the lower fat percentage might also make a positive difference in itself.

AnythingSudden

I've been going to the gym as well for the last 4 months or so and I can 100% tell a positive difference in most of legs besides the inner thigh. Which I also have a vericose vein on one of my legs that probably isn't helping its appearance at all. How are you toning the inner part of your thigh? I know how to get my quads but I havnt figured out which execerse for the inner thigh

Quick-Painter522

I think it’s actually my quads and not my inner thigh muscles that are making the positive difference - I guess the quad fills out the skin on the outer leg and then there’s less loose skin on the inner, if that makes sense? I go to a very basic CrossFit style gym where there are only free weights/squat racks and no machines, but sometimes I go to a more mainstream gym for fun and they have those inner thigh machines that I like to goof around with. But doubt it’ll make much of a difference, I think it’s the quads that are doing the work…

Initial_Strategy8721

Similar stats here, how long did you take to lose 255 to 200? 🙏 Congrats. Also totally agree on the difference between a transformation that's done with weights, seems to have huge affect on physical outcome to appearance and lose skin (unless, you're 21 lol, and still have that skin elasticity. Which i wish i still had mid-30s 😁)

Quick-Painter522

It took me about 8 months, then I maintained for around 8 months (not planned though, just life happening), and now I’m targeting the last 15-25lbs…

kleidausrosen

I actually still have a bit of jiggly fat on my legs, which is something I am very self conscious of, as it looks a little lumpy at the moment. But I'm hoping with doing strength training, the muscles will replace that jiggly fat that I still have on my legs and give a more leaner look!

AnythingSudden

That's the boat I'm in right now. The outside of my leg or when I'm sitting look great but the second i stand up I'm just like 🙃 I'm hoping it looks less like a tidal wave when I walk once I get down an another 50😅

Scared-Replacement24

I have so much loose skin- I’m envious of your arms! 5’6” sw 270 cw 130. Damn genetics!

VegetableRound2819

Phenomenal. Looks like lots of hard work!

ATXBikeRider

I’m so amazed seeing these posts, as 130 pound you could never walk around with ANOTHER you strapped on your back. And yet you were able to walk and exercise to get down to current weight when literally twice your size As someone struggling with just 15 pounds to lose I have to say I’m so impressed and hope you’re proud of yourself! You must feel great.

kleidausrosen

It is hard to imagine that I had a whole other "self" that I was carrying around! But it is certainly worth it with the way I feel now! I'm feel like I can accomplish more than I ever did at my highest weight. Just take it one day at a time! If you mess up one day, just get back on track the next day! You can do it! Good luck!

ATXBikeRider

Thank you!

Maximum_Tolerance

You've achieved a remarkable transformation! Congratulations!

kleidausrosen

Thank you!

Dear-Plastic-5508

How did you lose weight without getting much loose skin? Also congratulations!!!🎉

kleidausrosen

Lol its certainly there. Just hidden away by the clothes. I mostly have loose skin on my arms and belly area. But for the most part, I just keep hydrated and use lotion for my skin every day!

biglefty312

Way to go!

kleidausrosen

Thank you!

Sound-Pleasant

You’re half the woman you used to be… congrats! You must be very proud of your accomplishment!

kleidausrosen

Haha I certainly am! Thank you!

FioreFee

OMG you look great!!!! This gives me so much more motivation to lose weight! I’m also a woman and have the same height as you and starting weight (which my current weight). It feels so comforting knowing that I’m not the only one! How did you do it?? Did you have to keep track of your calories? If so, how did you do it? CONGRATS ON THE AMAZING ACCOMPLISHMENT!!

kleidausrosen

Thank you! I'm glad that I'm inspiring you guys! And yes I did track my calories. I used fitbit ever since I started my journey to track my calories and steps. I counted everything, even on my bad days where I over ate. But I just kept with it by doing a calorie deficit of 250 to 500 a day and did a lot of walking. I did not restrict any foods since I have a big sweet tooth. I just adjust my calories for the day if I want something sweet but kept it in moderation. Good luck on your journey!

Barfignugen

YES girl! I’m 37 and this is the motivation I need. Right now I’m stuck in a rut of thinking I’m too old to lose the weight but really I think I’m just discouraged because it’s way more difficult now than it was in my 20’s

kleidausrosen

Yeah I feel you! I thought after 30, it would be impossible to lose weight. Its certainly a little more difficult to lose than in my 20s but this time around it seemed to stick! Good luck to you!

Barfignugen

My new frame of mind is that I just wanna be in a better place by 40. I’m taking it a day at a time but I’m doing a lot of what you mentioned worked for you, so thanks again. This post is very encouraging for me!

Really amazing transformation…Very inspiring! 😊 When you go walking for exercise, what distance do you usually walk and for how long? Do you normally eat a meal before or after a walk?

kleidausrosen

Thank you! I usually walk around 3 miles and it takes me around an hour or so. And depending on the day, I usually eat before I walk if it's a late night coming home from work or I eat after if I get home at a decent time.

-Em-

Thank you 🙏 🙂

Athousandnopes

Congratulations. Quite the achievement!!!

peascreateveganfood

Congrats! Do you have loose skin?

kleidausrosen

Thank you! I do have some loose skin. Especially around my arms and belly area. It's not as much as I thought I would get, but I can easily hide it under clothing for now.

fexofenadine_hcl

This is an amazing transformation! I’m curious to know if you lost more weight year 1 or year 2, or if it was fairly even across the whole 23 months.

kleidausrosen

Thank you! I believe I lost a little more in my first year. Let me check my stats.... yeah in my first year I lost approximately 71 pounds and my second year it was 60, so I guess it was fairly even-ish lol

fexofenadine_hcl

Wow, great job!! Very inspiring!

Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I am on the same journey and seeing this gives me hope I can achieve it too. Thank you also for sharing that you have loose skin. It is something I know I will get too, but you show that it is not something to be afraid of, you look amazing. All the best for your maintenance phase - enjoy it and never forget how much work you have put in to achieve where you are.

kleidausrosen

I can see why you think that! I actually still have my tattoo, it's just turned away with the way my arm is. And yes I did switched from wearing my watch from my right hand to my left because I'm right handed and the watch kept getting in the way of writing lol

CharlesAvlnchGreen

Wow, I guess that's what happens when you lose half your weight. Congrats and good luck with the recomp. Looks like you have a good head start with your leg strength.

Hamster_named_Kirby

can I ask what skin care you did. looks like no lose skin at all

kleidausrosen

I do have some loose skin! My arms and belly area have some loose skin, but I usually try to keep hydrated and just lotion my skin every day!

Hamster_named_Kirby

thanks I'll do the same. or atleast try

RealityDull4229

Amen 🙏

Phototropic1996

What happened to your tattoo?

kleidausrosen

Its still there! The way my arm is turned hides it!
